The Aurum Chateau

Day 3

[Well done! You have got 16 Billion Dollars in your account! You're now near closing level 1! Spend it in 3 days to grow your money! Failing to do so within the required time will reduce back to level zero!]

No pressure! Henley smiled as he closed the system update he was reading. He already had in mind where he was going spend next, for now, he'll enjoy this scene he's seeing.

"What is this? You can't do this!"

From a distance, Henley saw Mr. Krux freaking out. He was angry yet begging the estate staff to stop dragging them out of their house. The estate agreed to his terms. In the end, he was told that the housing secretary likes the idea of raising the housing cost to set the bar high. It's good for the Elite City's image so they choose Henley's proposal over the Krux family, besides it was like Henley had paid all the overdue balance of the Krux family since it has been a year that the family was failing to pay the city association dues. His proposal was a win-win for the estate company that's managing the Elite City so they couldn't take no to it, aside from that he paid them extra cash to do some extra jobs for him, and that includes this dramatic scene today.

Whew! Look at the high and mighty Mr. Krux begging to his knees! He looks far now from that old man who beat him up years ago. After a while, Henley saw Drex coming. He tried to stop the estate staff. This time, Henley was even more satisfied watching the two men who tormented him before going down before his eyes.

"There's nothing you can do, Mr Krux. This is direct from the housing secretary's order, you no longer own this house, and due to your unpaid city association dues you are demoted to live in Cluster D."

"C--Cluster D?"

Henley could hear how Mr. Krux's voice tremble upon being informed they will be now moved to Cluster D. Their bank maintaining balance is actually the only reason now why they weren't completely kicked out of Elite City.

Henley dialed his phone.

"Noah, packed your things now. We'll be moving to Elite City in 3 days, also, I want you to hire the same fastest and quality company to take care of my house's renovation here," he instructed.

---

When the renovation was finished the house that Henley bought from the Krux family become a different one. No Krux's touch could be seen on it. Now, Henley is gaining attention for his most unique and most expensive house not just actually in Elite City, but his gold house was considered as the most expensive in the world. The President himself even acknowledge it for it brought pride to their country and to Elite City, for the President, Henley's house was a reflection, evidence of how blessed and prosperous the country is. After the renovation, Henley's house was called The Aurum Chateau.

"Aurum? Why do you want your house to be called that way?"  Noah asked him.

" Aurum, an old word for gold because it is designed with gold, and I want the people to remember the house's splendor,"  Henley explained.

Noah laughed.

" The thing is, the Krux family will surely notice the golds you placed in there!"  Noah exclaimed.

Noah is right. He actually intended it. That was his plan all along since he started secretly buying gold from the Krux's mine. Now, for sure the gold exteriors of his house will surely catch the Krux family's attention. He also contacted a tourist promotional media to do a cover of his house. He wants the people to be intrigued by him, especially the Krux family.

"But boss, you're exposing this house, Isn't that bad for our privacy, for our security?" Noah asked him.

Henley smiled, " Who said we'll be living here most of the time?"

Noah got confused, " What do you mean?"  he asked.

Henley showed him a key.

" Well, I bought two houses here in Elite City, both are Cluster A, and by this time they're already finished constructing the other one,"  Henley told Noah.

Noah laughed, " I wasn't expecting that!"

---

Henley Austen's fame quickly rose not just in Elite City but he gained popularity in the entire country as the only Elite resident who owns a gold house, the largest and the most expensive. Up to now, the media are still in search of his identity but Henley tried hard to keep himself hidden and mysterious.

This isn't yet the time to be known.

That's what he always says.

Besides, he's not finished with the Krux yet. Not yet.

"Hey, boss!"

Henley's drifting thoughts were awakened by the knock on his car window. It's Noah.

"What have you got?" he asked.

Noah handed him pictures.

" These are the drug store staff which Drex paid to lie!"  Noah told him.

Seeing the pictures, Henley felt back the same pain he felt years ago like it was fresh again. He was imprisoned because of that medicine, and his grandmother died because of it. Henley clenched his fists.

"How about the cardio hospitals here? Any news?" Henley asked.

"I'm still working on it, boss,"

Of course, he has special plans for the hospitals here in Elite City, and he knows that would be a big hard fight. He cannot just buy it and took his revenge. If those hospitals are government tied, he cannot just do that. Okay, in the meantime he'll deal with these Durg store staff. Henley looked at the pictures handed to him. He clearly remembers their faces. Yeah, even the way their mouths twitched as they speak lies about him, the way they seated, all their demeanor there in the police office when the investigation was done, those were all vivid in his mind. They were paid to lie. And now that he has money, he will pay them to ruin their lives.

"Bring me to them,"  Henley commanded.

---

It turns out that there were three drug store staff who were paid to falsely testify against him before, and now the three of them were sitting with their hands chained in front of him. Henley choose not to cover their eyes for he wanted them to see who he was. It's even more satisfying when these people who wronged her know that he was that poor man whose lives they ruined before. Now, their begging for forgiveness and confessing the truth to him but it was all useless. He already had spent his life in prison. Besides, their sorry cannot bring his grandmother's life back. Retaliation. Payback. That's what he wanted.

"Sign this!" Henley handed the three staff a document.

"That's a note stating that you sold me these pills!"

The three staffs were surprised. They were abducted today and they were expecting something more harmful than this paper signing.

"But we have not sold these to you," one of the staff said.

"You sold these to me in exchange for millions which I will give to each of you. How about that?"  Henley said.

The three staff exchanged glances then they excitedly agreed to Henley's deal without knowing that was a trap. The next day, Henley filed a case against the three-drug store staff and the drug store itself. He connive with some media outlets to make the issue bigger like making it the case of the century.

Malpractice causes life endangerment and worst death. Now Henley faced the court and the media stating that her grandmother's illness accelerated to worst due to the wrong pill which the three staff had sold him. As a result, due to public pressure, now the drug store in Elite City was forced to close down, and the three staff were later sent to prison.

"Elite City is a place for the best people and quality services. The office of the President condones the scandal involving the largest high-end drug store there, thus, we are ordering its closure, to assure the residents and the general citizens of Red Coast that our country remains reliable when it comes to health care."

Those were the official statement released from the office of the President.

Henley Austen smirked when as he switch off the tv, everything is falling into place just like he planned. Yeah, he hates the President but it's delightful that he's moving now in his favor. Henley rests his head on his reclining console chair. His eyes trailed on the stuff pasted on the other side of the wall which mainly contains information about the people who wronged him before, and his future move concerning the tasks in the system.   He's now here in his underground room, at a property he bought outside of Elite City.

Shall I call this house my Planner Haven? Henley thought to himself.

Days ago, he built a mansion just for display. Without many knowing it, he owns two houses in Elite City, this three-story property, another separate bank account under a different name, the Night Zero Bar which he changes now into Night Zero Club, all of those he accomplished to own in less than a month.

It's unimaginable what money can really do! Henley thought to himself. Yet, deep inside of him, despite all the many houses he owned, he still wants to go home to that old cabin where he and his grandmother used to live.
