I was floating down as I used the leaf I had grabbed like a glider of sorts. The village was much better built than either of the two that Mex watched, and most of the buildings were around at least two, some even three stories tall.

Mex had enough trouble taking care of himself most of the time, so I could see why it was better for him to have the villages separate. If they were like this, they would expect things from Mex, and he could hardly live up to his own expectations.
