Chapter Twenty One

Hypocrites

Jacob and Stephen were stunned, for in front of them was a haggard looking man, who was dragging a rusty looking axe across the floor. The man seemed to not have noticed the kicking open of the door, because he still kept moving in a circle, dragging the axe. Upon closer inspection, Jacob and Stephen noticed that there was a sign of dried blood on the axe. Looking closely at the man, his eyes seemed dead; as if he was no longer human, but a living dead instead.

Jacob and Stephen were beginning to wonder whether the man was dead or alive, so Stephen asked Jacob to remove his Shadow, revealing their presence. Almost immediately, the man's head jerked up, looking at them with gray, dead eyes.

Snarling, the man raised the axe as he rushed towards Jacob and Stephen. Jacob reacted quickly, as he quickly raised his hand, activating his Telekinesis. Beside Jacob, Stephen's eyes took on a green glow as he attempted to glimpse into the future. Gasping, he shouted, "Jacob, No!!". B
