Monster Hunters Chapter Twenty One
Hypocrites Jacob and Stephen were stunned, for in front of them was a haggard looking man, who was dragging a rusty looking axe across the floor. The man seemed to not have noticed the kicking open of the door, because he still kept moving in a circle, dragging the axe. Upon closer inspection, Jacob and Stephen noticed that there was a sign of dried blood on the axe. Looking closely at the man, his eyes seemed dead; as if he was no longer human, but a living dead instead. Jacob and Stephen were beginning to wonder whether the man was dead or alive, so Stephen asked Jacob to remove his Shadow, revealing their presence. Almost immediately, the man's head jerked up, looking at them with gray, dead eyes. Snarling, the man raised the axe as he rushed towards Jacob and Stephen. Jacob reacted quickly, as he quickly raised his hand, activating his Telekinesis. Beside Jacob, Stephen's eyes took on a green glow as he attempted to glimpse into the future. Sword Girl Mocking the Heaven's Chosens, Lucas took out his dagger as he plunged it into the man's head, killing him. Taking out his dagger, Lucas summoned a Fireball as he burned the man's corpse.Walking back to his shelter, Jacob sighed as he replayed what Lucas said in his mind. Sword Moves Seeing the palace emerging from the ground, Jacob sucked in a cold breath of air as he thought; 'There's a palace in this place??'. Clenching his fists, Jacob knew that, although he was still in the Intermediate Level, just a little more effort was needed, and he would breakthrough to the Advanced Level, where he would be able to take six steps. Standing up, Jacob looked at the puppet standing nearby, as he wondered how it was being powered. "I have to go out now. Enlightenment Stepping out of the shelter, they headed towards the Village, ready to unravel the mystery of the Undead. Stephen walked at the forefront, using his Super Vision to scout for danger, Jason and Lucy in the middle, while Tony and Jacob stayed at the back. The atmosphere was tense, with each of them moving cautiously, ready to act at any moment; except for Jacob. UndeadAfter a few seconds of running around, Jacob opened his eyes, smiling foolishly; he had just discovered something unique in the Sword Skill. The time it took him to activate the skill had drastically reduced, it took four seconds to take four steps before but now, it only took him two, half the time needed. Shifting his gaze towards the trapped Wind Footed Cheetah, had an evil smile on his face as he gripped his sword tightly, activating the modified Sword Skill. The Wind Footed Cheetah suddenly felt a shiver run down it's spine, as if it was being watched by a Demon King.
