Chapter 28 : Smell of Murderer

Keeping Mark alive was a big mistake for Zen and Ryo. Mark apparently remembers Ryo's face and the smell of the two of them. A week later the monsters hunt Ryo who is doing a mission in the middle of the city. Ryo killed them one by one and interrogated them. From the interrogation, he found out that the monsters can find someone through their smell, and Ryo is their main target. Ryo is hunted down to be killed and to find Zen.

Knowing that his partner was in danger, Ryo reported the incident to HORNET. The organization acted quickly. They created a special cloak to disguise their scent. However, they couldn't find a solution for Ryo's face that was already known by the monsters. HORNET finally made the unilateral decision to dispose of Ryo for the safety of everyone in NEST.Ryo drank a serum that made him forget everything related to HORNET, and then he lived his life on the surface. Zen had negotiated with HORNET several times not to do that to Ryo, but was ignored by the higher-ups
