As Haruto walked through the dimly lit hallway, he pondered about everything he'd learnt. It was a whole new set of revelations, never in his life did he dream he would be part of something so big. And 5 million yen?!. His got light headed from thinking about it.
But, there was something bugging him, the captain, he was sure he didn't make a mistake. The grey eyes — albeit almost unnoticeable, and most of all, the empty gaze and slight displacement sometimes when he was aiming for a particular spot. The captain was blind!. It seemed the enchantment gave one abilities beyond comparison as well as a reverse of it to complement, was it…a flaw? Perhaps. It wasn't just the captain. The blonde also!. He had the power to compel one to say the truth when he was the king of lies himself! Ordinarily, his name already implied so. For now though, it was just an assumption, he had not yet confirmed it. After all, some theories all just remained what they were — theories. They never really had a chance to be made into theorems — so he read in a calculations textbook. All in the name of not being proved yet. So, he was planning to follow the rule. Although he didn't like abiding by rules, this one was especially essential, perhaps, it was a rule of life. Sighing, he stopped in front of a door, a room rather. It was the fifth room on the left just immediately you exited the fleet of stairs. The captain had especially told him that he could chose from any of the 5 on the left from the stairs. The other rooms were either occupied, used to store something extremely dangerous or harmful, or vacant. Perhaps to remember those of utmost importance who were lost to the enchantment one way or the other. Haruto, on the other hand, wasn't really at liberty to choose at the moment. He didn't have the strength to. After all that had transpired within the span of one day, he just needed one thing— Rest. Though, he had read from a sacred book used by the followers of Christ about one idiot. What was his name again? Was it not Esau?...And Jacob. Yes, they were two, but, the latter wasn't the idiot, he was the smarter one. The former had sold his future, his birthright for a pot of sweet pottage! How sweet the pottage must have been!. Haruto however, at least for now, was willing to jeopardize his future living condition for one night of rest. ‘But uhh, I'm not an idiot, right?’ Grimacing and refusing to think about any other stupid thing, Haruto fastened the box to his left waist with his left arm, and used his right hand to pull the door knob. Then, he went in and closed it behind him. He wasn't really sure, what did the room look like? Who cares? I just need sleep. He was on the verge of breaking down. His vision was heavily blurred. But, it was just enough to spot the fluffy bed just ahead of him. He crashed into it heavily, unsure of his surroundings anymore. Grades, The enchantment, Money, Lily. Soon, everything was bundled up and cast into the pit of nothingness. He slowly gave into unconsciousness. In no time at all, he was in the beautiful embrace of mother dream land. *** Haruto woke up rather energetic. He felt rejuvenated, and free of worries at the moment. Standing up, he stretched his limbs as much as he could. Letting loud crack sounds escape from them. He had slept well. Unfortunately, there were no birds to chirp. So, he woke up rather late. He had to admit, he missed those vile creatures. Sighing, he took a good look around his current room. He was so tired the previous day, he had forgotten when or how he slept. He only remembered something about him…regretting his choice? If that was it, then he was wrong. A smirk was etched on his lips. ‘I made the right choice after all!’ Haruto liked the room more than anything. It was very stuffy. And the bed was so fluffy and big. The wardrobe, dressing table, and shoe rack as well as a small book shelf took up just a little space. The fluffy bed almost took all of it, and there was just enough space for him to move around freely without ramming into anything or having trouble going out the door. The most giving one was the scent, it smelled somewhat, breathtaking?. He couldn't fathom it but he just liked it. ‘A guy definitely lived here! It looked so….boyish’ After staring at his dream room and admiring it for a few more moments, he decided to get to his business for today. It was a rather short but ardous list. He reckoned he'd not be able to finish it within 24 hours. Nevertheless, you can't achieve anything If you do nothing, right?. Sighing, he went through the list again. The one and most important was that he had to inspect the system!. After all, how could he use it to its full potential if he didn't understand how it worked?. Next up and the second most important for today was, he had to complete his daily quests. He never wanted to go into the penalty zone again!....at least for now. Next up, he had to go shopping. Yes! He needed a lot of things to fit in as well as food and groceries, he was going to enjoy whatever time he had left on earth to its full potential. And then he had to visit the man in the basement as well as collect his salary. ‘Ugh! So much to do’ After a second of thoughts, he decided to inspect the system first. With the way things were currently, another chance to understand it might not show up again. Then, he called It up. With a thought, it appeared before him. [Name: Gensei Haruto Age: 19 Level: 1 EXP: 30/100 Strength: 10 Intelligence: 10 Agility: 10 Health: 10 Endurance: 10 Spiritual Level: 10 Stamina: 10 Title: — Points: 5 ] Haruto stared at his status panel in awe. He had clearly missed out on a lot!. Not exactly though, he'd only been reincarnated 2 or 3 days ago. But still, he looked at all the attributes he could find there. He could bet that increasing all of them would make him really strong. Probably as strong as the captain himself. He choked. ‘Uhh…Scratch that’ Anyway, He could grow stronger!. But….just…just what is this thing?...

My Atomic System Chapter 1: Prologue
“Kill him! Kill him!!! Kill him!!” It sounded like the chorus of a song. It was too much noise. Wasn't it?. Does it even matter? I'm going to die anyways. The people in front of me, I wondered what I did to them. Wasn't it that small crime?. That bastard! He caused this whole thing. My head hurt badly, my ears were so hot. Yeah….a few rods landed on it while they dragged me here. I looked around slowly….and sighed. Wasn't the sky beautiful? Resting on a wall and staring at the starry sky, wasn't it?. I licked my blood off my bleeding lips. First time tasting blood. What did it taste like again? Sweet? No, metallic. Yeah metallic. My lips curled upward a little…. almost unnoticeably. My whole being vibrated, and…..I could already sense it. Death. It was on it's way. Who would've thought that I would be it's victim today?. ‘I regret it…’ I gritted my teeth and a heavy pain seemed to find solace in my soul. ‘...I regret it!!!’ I groaned a little, a pain that came from shutt

[You will now be sent to your world.] ‘What?’ his vision darkened… What's happening? Sal felt immense emptiness. It lingered for a moment. But after some time, he started to feel his surroundings faintly. Strangely, He felt a little comfort and discomfort at the same time. His sense of touch, conflicting itself. The comfort, as he could tell, came from what he was currently sitting on, it was a little foamy. The discomfort on the other hand, was something he couldn't fully understand. Subsequently, his sense of smell kick started itself. At first, he couldn't fully tell what his nose picked up. But after sometime, he recognized it, it was a familiar aroma. Back at home, when he was living with Lily. On one occasion, he had killed three rats so ruthlessly after they ate the little supplies he managed to steal, and left them somewhere around the hut to rot. Sal suddenly felt like throwing up. His mouth opened up without his permission but nothing came out. Still yet, his throat
My Atomic System Chapter 3: A second chance
Memories flashed at intervals, all in smooth and seamless transitions. Memories of past occurrences, of both pain and happiness. However, they soon faded. Lazily, Sal opened his eyes. He could hear a constant buzz of electricity all around him. And the surrounding air reeked of…tech?. Droplets of sweat had formed on his forehead. ‘Am I dead?’ thought Sal. The surroundings seemed rather strange and foreign. It wasn't like what he was normally used to seeing anywhere in the world. He sat up slowly, holding his head and squinting his brows in the process. With one eye closed, he surveyed his current surroundings. ‘Where am I? Where's Lily?’ thought Sal. There was a machine on a table beside the bed he was currently lying on. It had strange uneven lines constantly changing shape but in a uniform direction on its screen. The machine just made a constant beep sound. He wondered what it was used for. There were many sharp objects and large machines —
My Atomic System Chapter 4: Secret Combat Force
The nurse approached a ward. As if anxious to meet her patient, she checked her attire a few times before she entered the ward. Huh? Where's Mr Haruto? The nurse stared at the empty bed. She wanted to believe he was in the bathroom but there was not a single sound of water. Suddenly, her eyes rounded up into circles. What if?... “Mr Haruto!!” The nurse dropped the tray in her hand. She quickly pressed the emergency button on the wall. “Patient 05, ward 10 has left the hospital!!!” The nurse cried out in alarm. *** Sal attracted multiple gazes and toured the streets of Tokyo. “Is he mad?” “I think so” “You don't see this in Tokyo all the time” Sal totally ignored their whispers. He didn't have a hard time sneaking out of the hospital. All in the name of going out to check something, he left. Though he did know if they'd come for him or NOT. This really doesn't get old. It even looks more beautiful from below here. Sal stared at the tall buildings.
My Atomic System Chapter 5: Death.....Again
Haruto walked out of his apartment and left the building. His apartment was near the main road, so the constant blowing of horns was deafening . But of course, it was something that shouldn't be taken away, it added liveliness to the city in it's own way. The moment he left the building, a feeling gripped him, one that caged his soul. It was fear!. (Indistinct Whispers). He could hear them, the whispers, it was louder than any other thing. He couldn't actually pick what it was saying. He could just hear it. He stopped and looked back. He could hear his heartbeat, it was loud and though it wasn't that fast, it was pacing up. Seeing only the bustling street and nothing out of the ordinary, he concluded he was just afraid as a result of the series of events that had happened to him lately. Sigh… He resumed his advance. After a while, Gasp!! He halted abruptly and glanced behind him, his pulse racing. What was that just now?!! His heartbeat quickened. He started t

Chapter 11: The Astral Sentinel Corps
Exiting the fleet of stairs, Haruto found himself in a long hallway. He couldn't really see to the end of the hallway. It was dimly lit by just two blue torches unlike the yellow ones below. The blue torches barely lit the hallway—their faint glow wasn’t enough to even reach halfway through. Gulping hard, Haruto started to walk down. Remembering what the young girl had told him, he counted the rooms as he did so.‘...five….six….seven….’ He soon got frustrated. Perhaps, because he couldn't see anything. But, the damn hallway seemed endless!. Haruto continued to walk, all the while, he didn't dare to hasten up his movements for fear of missing a room and entering a wrong one. What's more? With how conspicuous and wild abilities could be, who knew what kind of vicious creatures anyone here could control? He'd really be done for.‘... seventeen, eighteen…nineteen…tw…enty’ Haruto paused. Chapter 10: Looming Darkness
Haruto stuck to Genzi’s back like a bug. He couldn't afford to lose the blonde no matter how much resentment he held towards him right now.‘Damnation’ He could see smoke intrude the air until it looked like a fog in places the blonde passed. People took powdery stuff into their noses. What's more? they smoked strange objects into their lungs in insane quantities. ‘Aren’t they literally frying their lungs?!’ Back on homeworld, only the King and his advisors were allowed the privilege of smoking, even so in very small quantities and special types of whatever they smoked that would cause little to no harm. Haruto sighed and looked forward to follow…Haruto’s face twitched.‘Goddamnit!! He's gone!’ His heart beat quickened almost instantly. If among the normal — at least that was the most normal here in the dregs — crowd, he could be grabbed by some lunatic. What's to say what would happen to him if he lingered here?. ‘Damn it! Damn it!’ He looked around impatiently,
Chapter 9: A Strange Attribute
‘Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!’ Haruto cursed silently. He was definitely in trouble now. Beads of sweat had long formed on his forehead in insane quantities. He furiously looked around, looking for someone to save him but no one interfered. Instead, they all avoided his awkward situation like a plague. Looking at him with irritation and malice, the towering man said in a deep voice:“I don't like being kept waiting” ‘Damn it!’ Haruto gritted his teeth in regret. ‘What’s with me and making wrong choices? Why did I come here at night? Just why? Damn it!!’ Taking Haruto's silence to depict making him look like a fool amidst his kin, the towering man suddenly stood upright and smiled.“You leave me no choice kid, you should blame yourself for loitering around at a late time like this,” Haruto watched the man reach out to grab his shoulders. He cursed continuously in his mind.‘Why am I so weak? Just why? Can't I just punch this asshole on his face and send his gre
Chapter 8: A journey to the Dregs
Haruto reluctantly slid through the alleyway. He gritted his teeth. Even his sweat pores weeped heavily for his misfortune. 10 yen!. Haruto screamed in his head. It had cost him 10 whole yen to transport himself here. He had spent an ample amount of time here to know how the financial system worked. His current net worth was a measly 300 yen. He was poor. And to remove a whole 10 yen just to move himself from one place to another…He gritted his teeth even more. ‘... damnation’ If only he had someone to tell him how costly transport was, he'd have made use of his legs!. After all, they weren't created for nothing. He had entered the luxurious bus blindly. Haruto sighed ruefully, heavy pain accompanying the breeze that followed. It was already spent money, there was really nothing he could do about it. He could only hope the workers of the Tokyo Secret Combat Force were paid. Otherwise, he was truly doomed. He had not even bothered to drop a resigning letter at his former wo
Chapter 7: Burning Resolve
Haruto could feel the soft sheet below him. Or was it the zooming vehicles outside and the soft motion sound of the fan somewhere around him. Or the chirping birds? Everything was relaxing… His eyes shot open. Haruto grunted aloud and sat up, a soft head ache lashing against his sanity as he did so. He twitched his eyes brows involuntarily. How did I get here? He looked around, the whole place was just the way he left it—the table and chair on the left side, the shoe rack and hanger as well as a wardrobe on the left and a bookshelf in the right corner just beside his bed—He was in his room. Last thing he remembered, he was almost killed by the so-called Lord Khai. Oh crap! Haruto stole a glance at the ticking wall clock ahead of him. 11:50 AM. Hell no! I won't make that mistake again. The moment he remembered how he had gotten into the penalty zone and almost died, he shivered. There's still time. Haruto wearily called up the system's interface. [ Daily Q
