Dinner

“Look who decided to visit,” Darell grinned. Ragi walked in with the box of cookies. “Are you trying to get me addicted to your cooking?”

“What? There's nothing wrong with bringing cookies for my favourite person. Except you don't like them,” he said.

“I'm not complaining,” she said quickly, taking them from him before he changed his mind.

He relaxed on the couch. “It feels good not to breath that mountain air. How are you settling in?”

“I'm trying to decipher if that was a shade,” she munched on the cookies, “but I suppose I could get used to this.”

“How are your injuries?” He asked.

“Healing up. It's going to leave an ugly scar but luckily I'm a witch so I can get away with that. No one will ever know,” she said.

“I will. Unless you plan on wiping my memories,” he said casually. Darell stopped eating. “What happened? Did I say something wrong?”

“Do you want me to wipe it? I understand you've been having nightmares about that day. Maybe… I can erase them…” she offered.
