“Wait!” Mona grabbed her hand. “You can't tell the Emperor.”

“Why not?” Eisha asked. Mona bowed her head. She didn't want to put Daniel in any form of trouble. No after all he did for her.

“Because I helped her escape,Daniel spoke and Eisha stiffened.

“Tell me you're joking.”

“I'm not. I helped her escape the palace and brought her here to stay with my grandmother as a servant,” he confessed. Eisha turned to the old woman.

“Is this true, grandma? Did you know about this?” She asked.

“Yes, I knew about it.”

“And you let him? You know how impulsive Daniel can be because he sees good in everyone. How did you let this woman take advantage of him?” Eisha demanded.

“No one took advantage of me, Eisha. I was the one who offered. She didn't ask me. If you report her, we all get in trouble,” he stated.

Eisha didn't know what to do at that point. She didn't want Mona around her best friend any longer and she certainly didn't want Daniel getting into trouble.
