Chapter 7
Ethan had been secluded inside his room, practicing the basics. He could be seen throwing punch after punch in the air, followed by kicks.
His movements had become a little swifter since he merged with the ancient dragon.
He finally rested after training for two days.
He came out of his room, walked past the familiar photo hallway, and stood on the balcony, watching the massive blue ocean.
Despite the castle being on a volcano, the air was still fresh, and a sweet lavender scent filled the air.
Thud, thud, thud.
Ethan heard the sound of footsteps approaching him, accompanied by a deadly killing intent.
He felt as if a person was about to stab him from behind, so he turned around. Liam stood there with his hands behind his back.
“How did you survive?” Liam squinted his eyes.
“Oh, I was saved by our ancestor,” Ethan flashed an annoying smile.
“Don’t joke with me!” Liam’s chest heaved up and down. Then, he tried to hold Ethan’s neck, but the latter dodged quickly to the left, causing him to miss.
“How I survived is none of your business. What matters is that I am coming for you,” Ethan said, walking away.
“You moron, you dare walk away from me!” Liam extended his hands to grasp Ethan, but the latter slapped his hand away.
“It seems like you want a beating. Do you think you’re a genius again?” Liam said, and the next moment, he covered the distance between them and punched Ethan in the face, making him stagger back.
“Your trash will always be trash,” Ethan took a step back, avoiding the kick. Seeing this, Liam sent an attack to Ethan’s leg.
Ethan counterattacked with a kick of his own. Liam staggered back. There was only one thought in his mind. “What just happened?” His thoughts were disrupted when he saw two feet coming straight at his chest.
He tried shielding his chest with his hands, but it was too late, as the foot was already connected to his chest, sending him crashing to the ground.
Ethan stomped on his chest, but Liam rolled away, making him stomp on the ground. Liam tackled his leg, making him fall, and then Liam climbed on top of him and started barraging his face furiously with punches.
“You think you’re a big shot, huh?” A punch was soon sent out again, followed by multiple punches.
“You think you are.” He sent out another punch, but this time, Ethan held the punch in mid-air.
“Yeah, I think I am a big shot.” Ethan pushed him away and jumped back to his feet.
Liam stood up, but what welcomed him was a double kick to his chest, sending him crashing through the concrete wall.
Crash crash.
Liam slowly stood up from the dust and debris that had now filled the air.
“When did he get so strong? Is his dragon gene free again?”
“Hahaha! What do we have here? The supposed weakest brother just trashed you. How do you feel about that?” Ethan said, with a wide smile plastered across his face.
“Don’t you dare make a mockery of me; I will make you pay!” Liam coated his hands in flame and soon sent out a flame attack.
Ethan already knew Liam was no longer rational, so his attacks were a bit clumsy. He slapped away his hands and delivered a 4x punch combo to his chest, making him puke blood with several steaks of meat from his previous meal.
Ethan’s footsteps made a clanking sound as he walked toward Liam.
Liam raised his face with drops of blood trailing from his mouth. His vision became blurry. It felt like his eyes were spinning and two blurry Ethans appeared before he passed out.
“The training paid off!” Ethan grinned.
When Ethan reached his room, he lay on his massive king-size bed, and the blue screen flashed in front of him.
[Stat] [Store] [Tutorials]
[Inventory]
He entered the store to purchase the dragon gene channeling portion for a massive amount of 100 million gold coins.
Ethan was quite wealthy now. After his loot inside that mysterious cave, he now had close to 200 million gold coins. Though he had a few savings left before, they were nowhere near this amount.
[Author’s Remark: One gold coin is the same as one point on earth. Earth’s currency is an electronic form of money called a point. [I’ll elaborate on this point later.]
A small bottle appeared in his hand a few seconds later.
“What! Will this small bottle make me reach the next rank?” Ethan was dumbfounded.
“What were you expecting, a gallon? Just drink it already, and stop acting like a woman,” Rowena replied.
He opened it and gulped it down in one go. After a few seconds, Ethan started feeling the heart-wrenching pain. He tightly clenched the bedsheets, and bulging veins appeared on his forehead. It felt like his internal organs were being crushed and remodeled again and again.
After some time, a message flashed.
[Congratulations on becoming a noble rank dragon]
A second message soon followed.

Ethan smiled while looking at his new skills.

Ethan summoned a ball of flame in his hand. He tossed the flame up and down.
“Woo, I can finally control fire, Hahaha.” He tossed the flame again but did not catch it this time, and it landed on the bed.
“Oh sh**t.”

“When did he grow this strong? I thought he was trash. Now I am so confused. Brother needs to know about this,” Liam mumbled to himself.
After narrating his confrontation with Ethan to Kane, he was embarrassed to look Kane in the eye.
“I saw the changes in his body, and he seemed confident again,” Kane said after a while.
“I think something happened to him after we threw him off that cliff,” Liam said, with confusion crossed on his face.
“Luckily, he made it this time, but he doesn’t know what I had installed for him,” Kane said with a sinister smile.
After putting out the fire, he proceeded to test his other skills. He commanded the system to start the transformation.
Then, the dragon tattoo glowed fervently on his back, as if it was about to jump out, and then, red-colored scales appeared pierced out of his body, horns grew out of his forehead, and his height increased.
Grrrrrhhhh
He growled loudly as a pair of red wings grew out of his back, and his hands elongated and transformed into those of a beast with razor-sharp claws.
Hahaha! I always wanted to look like this, "he grinned.
"It’s time for the next stage, but first, I need a good place to train.
Chapter 8Currently, Ethan was walking past the huge hallway of the castle. On the walls, various red dragon sculptures could be seen. They were present in all of the hallways.Strange red beast crystals could be seen etched on the ceiling from which light brightened the castles. The hallway was filled with numerous servants, both male and female, in red silk attire with a huge dragon head on their chest.Ethan walked down the hallway, the servants by his side, with his head held high.Someone recently told him to never keep his head down, as that is a sign of weakness. Great men always keep their heads held high, regardless of the situation, and it gives them a confident appearance, at least according to Rowena."Look at him, acting all mighty." The servants mumbled to each other when they walked past him a few meters. But they forgot the dragons had sensitive hearing.Ethan saw Kane coming toward him with a large arrogant smile across his face. He made brief eye contact with him and
Chapter 9“Your mom would have been proud of you if she was here,” Aldric said while tapping on the metal seat by his side. They were currently seated in one of the spectator seat rows.“Well, she is not here, is she?” Ethan said, staring at the empty fighting platform.Aldric flashed a smile. “She was so fond of you, you know.”“That is what you always told me.”Aldric ignored his tone and said, “I know you might be thinking she doesn’t love you.”“She does?”“Yes, she does, and in fact, cherished you more than her own life.” Aldric shifted his gaze to Ethan’s face, who was still staring at the space in front of him.“Any time you get bullied, I feel my heart throbbing. My sister, your mother, sacrificed a lot for you. That is why you need to become powerful so that you can make her proud, and I see you are already making progress.” Aldric stood up and faced Ethan again.“Ethan, stay safe.” And with that, he walked away.Ethan still sat there, staring in the same direction. He needs
Chapter 10The four Dragon princes were currently seated at a round table. The atmosphere was quite tense, to the extent that a pin drop would echo.Lewis, seated at the side, glared at Ethan with a mixture of shock, fear, and hatred.Ethan was minding his own business, as usual, and Liam was quite cautious in front of Ethan. He didn’t mock Ethan the way he usually did; he dared not act arrogant after the confrontation.Kane stared at Ethan. He’d been doing it the whole time, trying to figure out just what was different about Ethan. His eyes suddenly squinted as he saw a glimpse of Ethan’s tattoo.Kane had beaten Ethan on several occasions, so he knew just what Ethan’s body looked like. He also noticed Ethan’s now-defined muscles, and now the whole thought just seemed confusing."Just what are you hiding? What happened to you? "The large double doors soon opened wide, and Aldric walked through them. He entered and took his usual spot beside the large seat.“I am not going to beat aro
Inside the Earth’s space station…A man with an eye patch was casually seated in the control center, boredom visible on his face. “I am sick and tired of this. I have been staring at this screen all day long, yet nothing is happening…”Beep! Beep! Beep!An alarm resounded loudly inside the space station. The man with the eye patch jumped up from his seat. “What is it?” he inquired, moving towards the big screen. Several men wearing military uniforms could be seen typing away on multiple screens.“Captain, I think something just trespassed our defense line,” one man said.“What? But I see nothing,” the man with the eye patch responded.“Sir, we think it is invisible,” another man with bald hair deduced.A red light indicated a spot on the screen, signifying that something had just passed through the defense line.“Make it visible,” the man ordered again.“We have already tried, but the intruder seems to be preventing us from inside,” replied one of the soldiers in the control seat. The
After paying the 50 points, he was led to a room, or should I say, a locker room. Different lockers could be seen arranged in an orderly manner. He could see both male and female fighters who had ripped v-cut abs.The females looked more like men, with visible muscles everywhere. Compared to everyone here, he was the least in terms of muscles. He caught sight of a figure who had a similar build to him. The figure sat at the end of the broad locker room. Judging by his outfit, Ethan already knew the latter was a guest, just like him.The organizer in charge of the locker room led him to a locker with "guest" inscribed on it. He connected the dots: the guest locker room is for those who just want to participate for a night. That explains why the other fighters seem huge and bulky. "They are probably fighters who have been contracted to this fighting club," Ethan thought inwardly. He opened the metal locker and saw fighting attire neatly arranged. Surprisingly, there were only shorts and
Ethan finally connected the dots: the pale skin, the speed, and now his red eyes. It all meant one thing—he was fighting with a freaking vampire."What are you doing on the human planet?" Ethan tried to initiate conversation."I should be the one asking that question," the vampire sent out another punch."Well, I'm here on important business," Ethan said, frowning."Likewise," the vampire sent yet another kick. "I never knew the dragons wanted a share of Earth too," the vampire mocked."At least, we won't go on a rampage, sucking people's blood," Ethan sneered, sending a punch out.If one looked closer, they would be able to see small sparks anytime the duo exchanged blows."You think we are those savages who call themselves vampires," the vampire scoffed.Inside the hall, a girl was staring at the fight with keen interest. This was Layla, the girl Ethan had met inside the locker room.Layla had been watching the fight for a while now, and she had to admit the fight was interesting.A
Ethan and all the other students stood outside, staring at the gigantic oval-shaped metal building. The enormous size of the building made everyone there look like ants compared to it.A man in a military uniform walked to the front. He stretched his hands outward in a fist at a space, then with a stomp to the ground, a square-shaped metal platform could be seen protruding from the ground. The platform rose until it was high enough, now higher than everybody present. The man then proceeded to make a metal staircase leading all the way to the top of the platform. It was logical to make the stairs because one would need to use them if they wanted to get to the top.Sometime later, the soldier was finished with the platform design. Speaking of the design, it was just a pulpit and a microphone stand. The soldier's ability was called the metal ability. This ability was monopolized and controlled by the military.Ethan made a mental note of everything since it would be crucial for his goal.
Chapter 1The stench of blood and vomit filled the previously white room, now only a trail of red liquid dripping down from the wall, forming a blood trail.A river of blood covered the ground, leaving no space for the previously white floor to show, and a faint red bulb gave the room a sinister, ominous reddish glow.It was a torture room.In the middle of the room, a square-shaped, blood-stained fighting platform stood. On the platform, a young boy was tied upside down with a rope connected to the ceiling. Two youngsters, identical to each other, were hitting the boy with all kinds of skills. The punches seemed like they wouldn't stop any moment now.The boys stood opposite each other, punching the boy tied like a punching bag. It looked like they were sharing hits, tossing the boy from one to the other with punches and kicks. The tied-up boy was bloody from head to toe, looking like a blood-covered creature. The only way to identify the boy as human was by his figure. The punches c
