Chapter 8
Currently, Ethan was walking past the huge hallway of the castle. On the walls, various red dragon sculptures could be seen. They were present in all of the hallways.
Strange red beast crystals could be seen etched on the ceiling from which light brightened the castles.
The hallway was filled with numerous servants, both male and female, in red silk attire with a huge dragon head on their chest.
Ethan walked down the hallway, the servants by his side, with his head held high.
Someone recently told him to never keep his head down, as that is a sign of weakness. Great men always keep their heads held high, regardless of the situation, and it gives them a confident appearance, at least according to Rowena.
"Look at him, acting all mighty." The servants mumbled to each other when they walked past him a few meters. But they forgot the dragons had sensitive hearing.
Ethan saw Kane coming toward him with a large arrogant smile across his face. He made brief eye contact with him and lifted his gaze upward, as though Kane was not worthy in his eyes.
Kane halted his step and turned back. His hands trembled violently, and a speck of flame whirled around it.
"Smile all you want, bastard. I will soon send you back to the grave," Kane mumbled to himself, hitting a female servant against the wall as he walked away.
A woman about 50 years old sat elegantly at a tea table. She stood at 5'5. She wore an arrogant look, sipping her tea slowly.
A female servant soon walked through the door with her head down.
"My lady, the princes are here," the female servant said, with a shaky voice.
Shortly later, two handsome young men who were identical to each other walked in.
Liam and Lewis saw that their mother wasn't in a good mood, and they knew the reason.
"Sit," she said, but it sounded more like an order. They sat in the empty seats.
"Why is that boy still alive?" she asked in a slightly enraged tone.
"We don't know. We all saw him fall off the cliff," Liam answered.
"So he survived, huh?" she murmured. "You guys need to find a way to get rid of him. If not, he will soon come seeking revenge on you guys."
"Mother, don't worry; brother Kane has already formulated a plan for him," Liam said confidently.
"Yes, rest assured we will get rid of him."
Inside a gigantic training hall with several spectator seats on the side, Ethan could be seen standing in the middle on an octagon-shaped elevated platform.
Soon, a transparent dome slowly rose and soon covered the entire fighting platform.
He stomped his foot on a square-looking carving on the surface, then, a humanoid dragon puppet with black scales running through his body with sixteen-inch long horns protruding out of his head.
The dragon puppet stood about 7 feet tall.
Ethan took a fighting stance, and so did the dragon puppet.
The dragon made his first move as he rushed towards Ethan, baring his claws.
Ethan dashed forward as well. He couldn't help but feel excited and the adrenaline pumping through his body.
He knew he shouldn't be this excited because any mistake here could lead to his dismissal, but he couldn't help himself.
*BANG
The two fists collided, and Ethan moved back a few steps, but the dragon puppet was still rooted in the same spot.
Ethan went for another punch, but the dragon puppet ducked and punched him in his lower abdomen.
The puppet dragon was now barraging punches after punches toward Ethan.
* Bang* Bang*
Ethan was presently on the defensive.
"This is getting harder than I thought," he muttered, with gritted teeth.
A kick soon sent Ethan crashing to the dome wall.
"Aghhhhh," he growled.
"Time for another approach. I can't just get my ass kicked like this."
He held his abdomen, trying to suppress the pain with his hands. He could see the dragon puppet charging towards him yet again, with his horns pointed out.
When the humanoid dragon puppet was close to him, he ducked to the side, as if he was dodging a bull.
The dragon puppet's horn collides with the dome wall.
Before he could stand up, Ethan coated his legs with flame and blasted the dragon puppet with a kick, making it crash into the dome again.
And this time, small cracks appeared.
"Now this is more like it." Ethan halted when he saw the dragon puppet standing up abruptly.
The dragon's entire body was now covered with flames, and he now looked frightening.
"Sh*t, what made me choose a noble-ranked puppet when I just reached the noble rank?" Ethan shook his head.
The dragon puppet started making fireballs the size of soccer balls.
"Now I think I am too cocky," Ethan muttered again.
And right now, only one thing came to his mind.
[Partial transformation activated]
His tattoo flowed furiously, and the red scales ran through his body He sprouted horns and large red wings that ripped through his skin and protruded from his back.
The dragon puppet opened his mouth beyond normal human capacity and spit large energy flames around the platform, and a ring of flame appeared.
Ethan made two fireballs and hurled them towards the dragon puppet, but the latter casually dispelled them with a flame of his own.
Ethan was now exchanging fireballs with the dragon puppet, but it wouldn't take long for anyone to know that Ethan was on the receiving end.
"Make a feint to his chest, then stack his eyes," he heard the familiar voice he had almost forgotten due to his present situation.
He did as advised, and when the dragon puppet tried to shield his chest, Ethan made a slash with his sharp, elongated claws coated with flame.
*Screech
The claw connected and blinded his left eye. When the dragon was growling in pain, Ethan went further and stabbed his other eyes, but a message flashed in front of him.
[5 seconds left of the transformation]
"I need to finish this."
Ethan coated his hands with a large volume of flames, and his claw extended further, and he stabbed the puppet deeply, right into its stomach.
[transformation duration over]
Ethan lay on his back with trails of sweat running down his forehead.
*Clap*, *Clap*, *Clap*, *Clap*
A hand clap suddenly echoed inside the hall.
And the dome went down as Aldric walked in.
He helped Ethan stand up and patted his back.
"Congratulations, kid. I see you have finally reached the noble rank."
Chapter 9“Your mom would have been proud of you if she was here,” Aldric said while tapping on the metal seat by his side. They were currently seated in one of the spectator seat rows.“Well, she is not here, is she?” Ethan said, staring at the empty fighting platform.Aldric flashed a smile. “She was so fond of you, you know.”“That is what you always told me.”Aldric ignored his tone and said, “I know you might be thinking she doesn’t love you.”“She does?”“Yes, she does, and in fact, cherished you more than her own life.” Aldric shifted his gaze to Ethan’s face, who was still staring at the space in front of him.“Any time you get bullied, I feel my heart throbbing. My sister, your mother, sacrificed a lot for you. That is why you need to become powerful so that you can make her proud, and I see you are already making progress.” Aldric stood up and faced Ethan again.“Ethan, stay safe.” And with that, he walked away.Ethan still sat there, staring in the same direction. Chapter 10The four Dragon princes were currently seated at a round table. The atmosphere was quite tense, to the extent that a pin drop would echo.Lewis, seated at the side, glared at Ethan with a mixture of shock, fear, and hatred.Ethan was minding his own business, as usual, and Liam was quite cautious in front of Ethan. He didn’t mock Ethan the way he usually did; he dared not act arrogant after the confrontation.Kane stared at Ethan. He’d been doing it the whole time, trying to figure out just what was different about Ethan. His eyes suddenly squinted as he saw a glimpse of Ethan’s tattoo.Kane had beaten Ethan on several occasions, so he knew just what Ethan’s body looked like. He also noticed Ethan’s now-defined muscles, and now the whole thought just seemed confusing."Just what are you hiding? What happened to you? "The large double doors soon opened wide, and Aldric walked through them. He entered and took his usual spot beside the large seat.“I am not going to beat aro
Inside the Earth’s space station…A man with an eye patch was casually seated in the control center, boredom visible on his face. “I am sick and tired of this. I have been staring at this screen all day long, yet nothing is happening…”Beep! Beep! Beep!An alarm resounded loudly inside the space station. The man with the eye patch jumped up from his seat. “What is it?” he inquired, moving towards the big screen. Several men wearing military uniforms could be seen typing away on multiple screens.“Captain, I think something just trespassed our defense line,” one man said.“What? But I see nothing,” the man with the eye patch responded.“Sir, we think it is invisible,” another man with bald hair deduced.A red light indicated a spot on the screen, signifying that something had just passed through the defense line.“Make it visible,” the man ordered again.“We have already tried, but the intruder seems to be preventing us from inside,” replied one of the soldiers in the control seat. The
After paying the 50 points, he was led to a room, or should I say, a locker room. Different lockers could be seen arranged in an orderly manner. He could see both male and female fighters who had ripped v-cut abs.The females looked more like men, with visible muscles everywhere. Compared to everyone here, he was the least in terms of muscles. He caught sight of a figure who had a similar build to him. The figure sat at the end of the broad locker room. Judging by his outfit, Ethan already knew the latter was a guest, just like him.The organizer in charge of the locker room led him to a locker with "guest" inscribed on it. He connected the dots: the guest locker room is for those who just want to participate for a night. That explains why the other fighters seem huge and bulky. "They are probably fighters who have been contracted to this fighting club," Ethan thought inwardly. He opened the metal locker and saw fighting attire neatly arranged. Surprisingly, there were only shorts and
Ethan finally connected the dots: the pale skin, the speed, and now his red eyes. It all meant one thing—he was fighting with a freaking vampire."What are you doing on the human planet?" Ethan tried to initiate conversation."I should be the one asking that question," the vampire sent out another punch."Well, I'm here on important business," Ethan said, frowning."Likewise," the vampire sent yet another kick. "I never knew the dragons wanted a share of Earth too," the vampire mocked."At least, we won't go on a rampage, sucking people's blood," Ethan sneered, sending a punch out.If one looked closer, they would be able to see small sparks anytime the duo exchanged blows."You think we are those savages who call themselves vampires," the vampire scoffed.Inside the hall, a girl was staring at the fight with keen interest. This was Layla, the girl Ethan had met inside the locker room.Layla had been watching the fight for a while now, and she had to admit the fight was interesting.A
Ethan and all the other students stood outside, staring at the gigantic oval-shaped metal building. The enormous size of the building made everyone there look like ants compared to it.A man in a military uniform walked to the front. He stretched his hands outward in a fist at a space, then with a stomp to the ground, a square-shaped metal platform could be seen protruding from the ground. The platform rose until it was high enough, now higher than everybody present. The man then proceeded to make a metal staircase leading all the way to the top of the platform. It was logical to make the stairs because one would need to use them if they wanted to get to the top.Sometime later, the soldier was finished with the platform design. Speaking of the design, it was just a pulpit and a microphone stand. The soldier's ability was called the metal ability. This ability was monopolized and controlled by the military.Ethan made a mental note of everything since it would be crucial for his goal.
Chapter 1The stench of blood and vomit filled the previously white room, now only a trail of red liquid dripping down from the wall, forming a blood trail.A river of blood covered the ground, leaving no space for the previously white floor to show, and a faint red bulb gave the room a sinister, ominous reddish glow.It was a torture room.In the middle of the room, a square-shaped, blood-stained fighting platform stood. On the platform, a young boy was tied upside down with a rope connected to the ceiling. Two youngsters, identical to each other, were hitting the boy with all kinds of skills. The punches seemed like they wouldn't stop any moment now.The boys stood opposite each other, punching the boy tied like a punching bag. It looked like they were sharing hits, tossing the boy from one to the other with punches and kicks. The tied-up boy was bloody from head to toe, looking like a blood-covered creature. The only way to identify the boy as human was by his figure. The punches c
Chapter 2"What!? That's suicide!!" Lewis said, almost screaming. Everybody present in the hall thought the same. First of all, dragons are very protective of their offspring, and they wouldn't mind killing a few humans to protect their children.Kane kept his cool, but even he was having an inner dilemma as well. With a smug expression on his face, he said, "We can handle the mission, but I don't think a certain person can," Kane said, tilting his head towards Ethan with a smirk."Well, since he's a member of the royal family and our little brother, we would protect him."If an outsider hears this, they will think Kane is a loving and caring brother, but Ethan knew what he meant. He simply meant because no one will come to your aid, I'd kick your a$$ in the forest. After the mission briefing, they were led into a circular-looking airship, an airship that was empowered with beast crystals. It simply floats in the air, so it does not need many mechanisms. The Dragon Empire had amounted

Chapter 7Ethan had been secluded inside his room, practicing the basics. He could be seen throwing punch after punch in the air, followed by kicks. His movements had become a little swifter since he merged with the ancient dragon. He finally rested after training for two days.He came out of his room, walked past the familiar photo hallway, and stood on the balcony, watching the massive blue ocean.Despite the castle being on a volcano, the air was still fresh, and a sweet lavender scent filled the air.Thud, thud, thud.Ethan heard the sound of footsteps approaching him, accompanied by a deadly killing intent. He felt as if a person was about to stab him from behind, so he turned around. Liam stood there with his hands behind his back.“How did you survive?” Liam squinted his eyes.“Oh, I was saved by our ancestor,” Ethan flashed an annoying smile.“Don’t joke with me!” Liam’s chest heaved up and down. Then, he tried to hold Ethan’s neck, but the latter dodged quickly to the left, c

The larger the core, the stronger the dragon becomes. You are supposed to know this,” Rowena said.“I know. I just wanted more insight.” He exited the screen and entered the shop screen.
