Chapter 9
“Your mom would have been proud of you if she was here,” Aldric said while tapping on the metal seat by his side.
They were currently seated in one of the spectator seat rows.
“Well, she is not here, is she?” Ethan said, staring at the empty fighting platform.
Aldric flashed a smile. “She was so fond of you, you know.”
“That is what you always told me.”
Aldric ignored his tone and said, “I know you might be thinking she doesn’t love you.”
“She does?”
“Yes, she does, and in fact, cherished you more than her own life.” Aldric shifted his gaze to Ethan’s face, who was still staring at the space in front of him.
“Any time you get bullied, I feel my heart throbbing. My sister, your mother, sacrificed a lot for you. That is why you need to become powerful so that you can make her proud, and I see you are already making progress.” Aldric stood up and faced Ethan again.
“Ethan, stay safe.” And with that, he walked away.
Ethan still sat there, staring in the same direction. He needs to get stronger; that is the only way he can repay all those who wronged him and his mother.
Veins could be seen bulging on his face, his teeth shattered uncontrollably, and all the fits of anger he had suppressed all this year finally popped out, as though it was rain flooding his mind.
*BANG!
He hit the chair by his side, and a dent appeared.
“Anger will not get you anywhere.”
“You’re not strong enough, and you still act naively, so don’t think about revenge for now.”
Rowena wouldn’t want anything to happen to his successor before he even started his journey.
“I know. I won’t make any irrational choices. I will strike at their happiest moment, and from now on I won’t lower my head for anyone again,” Ethan said, his expression darker and grim.
In a large, spacious room, two long pieces of furniture made of gold stood at the front of a spacious bed. It looked like one of those beds a British king or queen would sleep in, but this was firmer. Strange crystals could be seen attached to walls, which had a silver line and emitted a light blue glow.
These crystals were known as soundproof, and they prevented any sound from leaking out of the room; it was a measure to block the Draconian race’s sensitive hearing.
A woman could be seen sitting elegantly on a single chair near the double windows at the side, flipping a transparent glass magazine. It displayed large text named “Draconian Daily” with multiple texts beneath it.
“My lady, Lady Rita is here,” said a lady dressed in red attire.
“Tell her to come in,” the woman said without looking at the maid.
“How are you, Sophie?” said a woman in her 50s as she sat in the second seat next to the woman’s seat.
“Cut the chase. What do you want?” Sophie replied while placing the magazine away.
“You’ve still got the attitude,” Rita said, with a smile.
“Ethan is still alive,” she said.
“I am aware.”
“Why do I feel you are not taking this seriously?” Rita asked in an infuriated tone.
Rita was sick and tired of her behavior. Sophie always acted calmly, and it really pissed her off. She hated Sophie to the core, but she still had to put on a facade as they had the same goal.
“Who told you I wasn’t taking it seriously?”
“You’re not,” Rita said, almost screaming.
“A wise person should always assess the situation before making any decision, and you… don’t look like one.”
“Did you just call me a fool?” Rita said, as her hands clenched on her dress, wrinkling it.
“However you want to take it, I just want to let you know that it was because of you that the whore’s son is still alive, and now you’re pushing me to make a quick decision that may jeopardize our lives.”
Rita hates to admit it, but she is right. If not for her rash decision, they would not be facing this crisis, but she still hates to be lectured by this woman.
“And remember,” Sophie continued. “Drago had a soft spot for that boy.”
In the palace, having an affair with a servant is strictly prohibited. It was a rule set by the first Draconian king, but that doesn’t mean some still didn’t try it in secret.
Lewis was currently forcing himself on a female servant. There were other servants inside the room, standing to the side, as though they were waiting their turn. This has been their fate for some time now, but currently, only one female servant is suffering the most.
She had tolerated his torture, called sex, but she could no longer stand it.
“Damm it. I am out of here.” She decided if she died, so be it, and she ran out of the room.
Surprisingly, he did not follow her, but she knew he would come for her. She ran outside and, unfortunately, bumped into Ethan.
“Are you OK?” Ethan asked, with a furrowed brow, and helped her stand up.
“Prince… Le… Lewis is after me,” she said, in between breaths, and her gaze roamed around unsteadily.
“Does he still do that to you?” Ethan clenched his teeth, which had become a habit whenever he was angry.
Anna was his childhood friend and his maiden until Lewis took an interest in her. Since then, she has become his sex toy.
*Boom
The door flew open, making Lewis, who was currently having a threesome, jump up and.
“Who the heck is that?” Though he screamed, he still controlled his tone because he knew only a member of the Royal family or an important person could blow his door open like this.
Ethan walked in with Anna behind his back.
“Oh, so is you, trash,” Lewis smirked. “It appears you want your ass kicked badly, which I will do.”
Lewis coated his hands in flames, but Ethan kicked him before he could take a step.
He did not restrain his strength, and the kick sent Lewis crashing through the wall.
He jumped through the hole he had caused, and Ethan punched without holding back.
“This is for the insults.”
*BANG!
“This is for taking my maiden”
*BANG!
“And this is for…” He stopped abruptly.
*Beep
His wristwatch beeped, and it was a message from Aldric. He was not the only one who got the message, as Lewis’s wristwatch also beeped.
He sent another punch to Lewis before walking out of the room as though nothing had happened.
The maids all looked at him with open mouths.
All the maids present in the room had only one thought…
“Who the hell said he was trash?”
Chapter 10The four Dragon princes were currently seated at a round table. The atmosphere was quite tense, to the extent that a pin drop would echo.Lewis, seated at the side, glared at Ethan with a mixture of shock, fear, and hatred.Ethan was minding his own business, as usual, and Liam was quite cautious in front of Ethan. He didn’t mock Ethan the way he usually did; he dared not act arrogant after the confrontation.Kane stared at Ethan. He’d been doing it the whole time, trying to figure out just what was different about Ethan. His eyes suddenly squinted as he saw a glimpse of Ethan’s tattoo.Kane had beaten Ethan on several occasions, so he knew just what Ethan’s body looked like. He also noticed Ethan’s now-defined muscles, and now the whole thought just seemed confusing."Just what are you hiding? What happened to you? "The large double doors soon opened wide, and Aldric walked through them. He entered and took his usual spot beside the large seat.“I am not going to beat aro
Inside the Earth’s space station…A man with an eye patch was casually seated in the control center, boredom visible on his face. “I am sick and tired of this. I have been staring at this screen all day long, yet nothing is happening…”Beep! Beep! Beep!An alarm resounded loudly inside the space station. The man with the eye patch jumped up from his seat. “What is it?” he inquired, moving towards the big screen. Several men wearing military uniforms could be seen typing away on multiple screens.“Captain, I think something just trespassed our defense line,” one man said.“What? But I see nothing,” the man with the eye patch responded.“Sir, we think it is invisible,” another man with bald hair deduced.A red light indicated a spot on the screen, signifying that something had just passed through the defense line.“Make it visible,” the man ordered again.“We have already tried, but the intruder seems to be preventing us from inside,” replied one of the soldiers in the control seat. The
After paying the 50 points, he was led to a room, or should I say, a locker room. Different lockers could be seen arranged in an orderly manner. He could see both male and female fighters who had ripped v-cut abs.The females looked more like men, with visible muscles everywhere. Compared to everyone here, he was the least in terms of muscles. He caught sight of a figure who had a similar build to him. The figure sat at the end of the broad locker room. Judging by his outfit, Ethan already knew the latter was a guest, just like him.The organizer in charge of the locker room led him to a locker with "guest" inscribed on it. He connected the dots: the guest locker room is for those who just want to participate for a night. That explains why the other fighters seem huge and bulky. "They are probably fighters who have been contracted to this fighting club," Ethan thought inwardly. He opened the metal locker and saw fighting attire neatly arranged. Surprisingly, there were only shorts and
Ethan finally connected the dots: the pale skin, the speed, and now his red eyes. It all meant one thing—he was fighting with a freaking vampire."What are you doing on the human planet?" Ethan tried to initiate conversation."I should be the one asking that question," the vampire sent out another punch."Well, I'm here on important business," Ethan said, frowning."Likewise," the vampire sent yet another kick. "I never knew the dragons wanted a share of Earth too," the vampire mocked."At least, we won't go on a rampage, sucking people's blood," Ethan sneered, sending a punch out.If one looked closer, they would be able to see small sparks anytime the duo exchanged blows."You think we are those savages who call themselves vampires," the vampire scoffed.Inside the hall, a girl was staring at the fight with keen interest. This was Layla, the girl Ethan had met inside the locker room.Layla had been watching the fight for a while now, and she had to admit the fight was interesting.A
Ethan and all the other students stood outside, staring at the gigantic oval-shaped metal building. The enormous size of the building made everyone there look like ants compared to it.A man in a military uniform walked to the front. He stretched his hands outward in a fist at a space, then with a stomp to the ground, a square-shaped metal platform could be seen protruding from the ground. The platform rose until it was high enough, now higher than everybody present. The man then proceeded to make a metal staircase leading all the way to the top of the platform. It was logical to make the stairs because one would need to use them if they wanted to get to the top.Sometime later, the soldier was finished with the platform design. Speaking of the design, it was just a pulpit and a microphone stand. The soldier's ability was called the metal ability. This ability was monopolized and controlled by the military.Ethan made a mental note of everything since it would be crucial for his goal.
Chapter 1The stench of blood and vomit filled the previously white room, now only a trail of red liquid dripping down from the wall, forming a blood trail.A river of blood covered the ground, leaving no space for the previously white floor to show, and a faint red bulb gave the room a sinister, ominous reddish glow.It was a torture room.In the middle of the room, a square-shaped, blood-stained fighting platform stood. On the platform, a young boy was tied upside down with a rope connected to the ceiling. Two youngsters, identical to each other, were hitting the boy with all kinds of skills. The punches seemed like they wouldn't stop any moment now.The boys stood opposite each other, punching the boy tied like a punching bag. It looked like they were sharing hits, tossing the boy from one to the other with punches and kicks. The tied-up boy was bloody from head to toe, looking like a blood-covered creature. The only way to identify the boy as human was by his figure. The punches c
Chapter 2"What!? That's suicide!!" Lewis said, almost screaming. Everybody present in the hall thought the same. First of all, dragons are very protective of their offspring, and they wouldn't mind killing a few humans to protect their children.Kane kept his cool, but even he was having an inner dilemma as well. With a smug expression on his face, he said, "We can handle the mission, but I don't think a certain person can," Kane said, tilting his head towards Ethan with a smirk."Well, since he's a member of the royal family and our little brother, we would protect him."If an outsider hears this, they will think Kane is a loving and caring brother, but Ethan knew what he meant. He simply meant because no one will come to your aid, I'd kick your a$$ in the forest. After the mission briefing, they were led into a circular-looking airship, an airship that was empowered with beast crystals. It simply floats in the air, so it does not need many mechanisms. The Dragon Empire had amounted
Chapter 3"Now that the trash is dealt with, why don't we hunt some dragon eggs?" Kane said in a cheerful tone as they ventured deeper into the forest.Inside a gloomy cave...Ethan's eyelid slowly twitched slightly before it finally opened."Is this the afterlife?" he asked, but there was no answer, only his voice echoing in the empty cave. He checked himself and discovered that all his bruises were healed."So I am dead?"He sluggishly picked himself up from the ground before he strode deeper into the cave. The cave had skeleton parts scattered all over the ground, and anytime Ethan stepped on one, a squishing sound echoed in the cave, and the bone turned into dust.A fairly large spider web extended from the cave ceiling slowly before it finally landed on Ethan's head."Shit." Ethan jolted back as he violently ruffled his hair. The spider fell to the ground before it hastily crept on top of the bones and disappeared into the dark cave."It's just a spider, huh? I thought it was a s
