Chapter Fifteen

As Charles strolled along the streets, he spotted a neon sign that read "The Lounge" – a bar that seemed to radiate an aura of fun and merriment. Encouraged by his mother's advice to blend in, he decided to venture inside and see what this new city had to offer.

Pushing open the heavy door, he entered a world of pulsating music, laughter, and clinking glasses. The interior was a dazzling display of colourful lights, reflecting off the polished counters and the faces of the customers. The atmosphere was infectious, and Charles could feel himself easing into a lighter mood.

Approaching the bar, he took a seat on a cushioned stool, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness. He glanced at the bartender, a friendly-looking lady with a bright smile and a neatly braided hair.

"Hey there! What can I get you?" the bartender asked, wiping down the counter with a cloth.

Charles hesitated for a moment, then replied, "Hmm, I'll have a signature cocktail. Surprise me."
