Charles paced back and forth in his office at Oscorp, his thoughts consumed by the promise he had made to Norah the previous night. He knew he had to fulfill it, no matter the cost. The safety of the woman he loved was paramount, and he couldn’t afford to take any chances.

“Mr. Higgins,” he called out, summoning his lawyer to his side.
