Chapter Thirty-three
The next morning, Charles, his heart brimming with contentment, sat across from Norah and his mother as they enjoyed their first breakfast together. Norah was having pancakes, while his mother savored a dish of scrambled eggs. He just sat sipping a steaming cup of coffee.

Norah and Selena exchanged smiles, their newfound bond growing stronger with each passing hour. It was as if they had known each other for years, their laughter and easy conversation filled the room. Selena complimented Norah on her cooking skills, which Norah humbly accepted, her cheeks tinged with a blush.

Charles, delighted by the harmony between his two favorite women of the moment, couldn’t help but beam with pride. He leaned over to Norah, whispering in her ear, “See, I told you both of you would get along just fine.”

Norah, her heart warmed by Selena’s kindness, nodded in agreement. “Your mother is a really nice person, Charles. You’re lucky to have her.”

Charles couldn’t have been happier to hear those words.
