Chapter Twenty-five

The morning sun streamed through the curtains, casting a glow on the elegant bedroom where Charles and Norah lay entwined in each other’s arms. The soft, rhythmic breathing of the two lovers filled the air as they basked in the aftermath of a passionate night, their bodies still tingling with the traces of desire. Charles stirred awake, his eyes adjusting to the daylight as he gazed down at Norah’s peaceful face. He couldn’t help but smile at the sight of her rumpled hair and contented expression.
