Chapter Twenty-seven

This morning, Emma sat at the kitchen table, nervously flipping through the notes she had prepared for her meeting with Oscorp. Her heart raced with anticipation, and her palms felt sweaty against the smooth paper. Today was a big day, and she needed all the encouragement she could get.

Her mother approached Emma with a warm smile. “Don’t worry, my dear. You’ve worked hard for this opportunity, and you have everything it takes to shine in that meeting. Just be yourself, and they will surely see the remarkable woman you are.”

Emma nodded, grateful for her mother’s words of wisdom. “Thank you, Mom. I’ll do my best.”

Just then, her sister Mary walked into the room high-spirited with a tray of freshly baked cookies. “Hey, Em! You got this! Show them your charm and intelligence. They won’t know what hit them!”

Emma chuckled, accepting a cookie from Mary. “I hope so. I just hope I don’t mess up.”

Michael joined the gathering with a mischievous grin. “Sis, you’re a force to be reckoned with.
