Rio frowned. “I don't understand. What were you thinking, Lieutenant? You're letting the man who injured Edward Chulkin get away with it.”
The lieutenant glanced sharply at Rio. With a firm step he approached the deputy with anger. “Listen, damn it! If you still love your life, stay away from people with black cards. Even if they carry a sharp weapon or a gun.”
Rio tilted his head. He realized that he wasn't a completely honest cop. However, letting a civilian carry a weapon was not something that could be justified. “So, Lieutenant is saying that cops like us shouldn't bother people like that even if they hurt others?”
The lieutenant shouted loudly. “Yes! If they kill someone, you should never arrest them! Do you hear me?”
Rio frowned. He really didn't understand the Lieutenant's train of thought. Karl immediately dragged him back. “Rio, never mind. Don't make the situation more precarious.”
When Rio and Karl had moved away, Lieutenant Finn returned to his room. He lit a cigarette with trembling hands.
He inhaled the cigarette deeply. Then exhaled, hoping to gain some composure. “You idiot, Rio ... I almost got into trouble with a special level Demon Hunter. I had to refuse Edward Chulkin's request to arrest that man.”
Ethan was now riding a bus. He sat looking out the window. His time was wasted because of the followers of the dark creature and the police. He didn't expect the Hunters Organization to be unaware that there was a security guard at the car showroom who was a follower of the creature of darkness. In Ethan's mind, he thought that the ability of the Hunters Organization seemed to have decreased dramatically.
3 years ago, the followers of the creatures of darkness would not dare to appear in the city of Silverhaven. They were all afraid of the Demon Hunters from this city who were known to be very strong.
Ethan clucked his tongue. “Even a follower of a creature of darkness like him dares to appear during the day instead of night. Next time, I won't hesitate to finish him off even if it's daytime.”
While on the bus, a woman suddenly cried out. Everyone's attention was drawn to the woman.
A woman in a school uniform had her face flushed and panicked. “Stop it! Don't touch my body!”
The girl pointed at the face of a thin man in a thick jacket behind her. Suddenly everyone immediately looked at the man.
The skinny man opened his eyes wide. He was surprised and felt embarrassed that everyone was looking at him. “Hey, don't talk carelessly! You're going to get someone else hurt.”
The short-haired girl stared as her eyes watered slightly. “I felt it, you touched my ass several times!”
The skinny man grinned, then glared at the girl. “Don't just talk bullshit, schoolgirl. I'm a man of honor. I have a wife at home. If I want to touch a woman, I'll touch my own wife. Not a kid like you. Besides, what's the proof that I touched your ass? Did your ass tell you that?”
The girl became doubtful. She averted her eyes. Little by little her face turned pale.
The thin man furrowed his brows and grinned back. “Huh, you can't prove it, can you? Look, you've already committed a crime by accusing people recklessly.”
Everyone was now looking at the girl. The girl shrank even more as she was speechless. Her chest became sore, and she wanted to cry right there.
The thin man clucked his tongue. “You little child! Don't act stupid in a crowded place!”
The girl's hands became trembling. She kept her head down due to unbearable embarrassment. The looks from the passengers who were suspicious of the girl further made her dare not raise her head.
Ethan's voice suddenly sounded from behind. “That guy really groped that girl.”
Suddenly all attention was focused on Ethan. The girl again felt her heart racing. She turned her head and found Ethan walking slowly towards her.
Ethan smiled a little. “I saw it. This guy really groped this girl.”
The thin man suddenly furrowed his brows. Then he glared at Ethan. “Huh? What's going on here? Now there's a random person accusing me too. Don't talk nonsense like this girl. You'll get in trouble. I'm sure you don't have any proof either, right?”
Ethan glanced at the girl. “You really were touched by him, weren't you?”
The girl averted her eyes. She was already embarrassed. No matter what the girl would say, she would only feel more cornered.
Ethan clucked his tongue. It was like this girl didn't want to be helped by Ethan due to excessive embarrassment. Even though she herself started the screaming on this bus.
The thin man snorted. “See, you're also just talking nonsense! Conductor, drop me off here. I hate being with toxic people!”
Ethan immediately grabbed the man's arm. Suddenly the man turned his head and glared. “Hey! Let go of me, are you trying to cause trouble?”
Ethan watched the hand carefully. The look on his face was a little annoyed by this. “You want to run, huh?”
The thin man slapped Ethan's hand away. “Run away? How insolent of you to say that. You and this girl have given me empty accusations. Why would I be in a place where people can't respect their fellow humans? Mind your own business, asshole. I'm coming down!”
Ethan still did not let go of his hand. Even the thin man felt pain because Ethan's grip was stronger than ordinary human strength.
The man tried to pull his hand away. “Hey! You're hurting me. Let go of my hand!”
Ethan turned to the girl. “Hey, school girl. I've got him. Are you going to keep quiet like that? More people will do this to you if you just stay quiet at a time like this.”
The schoolgirl was trembling. Her heart was beating faster and faster. What happened in the end was that the girl burst into tears. She had been too scared to tell the truth.
Ethan exhaled. He pulled the thin man's hand until his face was closer. Ethan looked directly into the thin man's eyes. “You think you can get away from me after stealing this bus?”
Suddenly the girl became shocked. She turned her head and opened her eyes wide to the man in the jacket.
The thin man in the jacket swallowed. He looked a little nervous after Ethan said that.

She could imagine that Ethan would be humiliated by Ronald while she and Betty went somewhere else to have fun. With a glance and a frivolous smile, she turned around. “Bye, loser.”Thalia and Betty laughed as they left Ethan and Ronald there. In front of Ethan, Ronald bent at the waist while exhaling. “This is not good, apparently you have a problem with my nephew. “I'm sorry, Mr. Ethan. What happened earlier was not intentional.” Piers bowed deeply. He had a cold sweat on his temples.Ethan who was sitting down gave a small nod. “Sit down. You're making us conspicuous.”Piers immediately raised his head. He looked to the side, there were several café employees who were watching them while whispering. Someone who was dressed neatly and classy bowed his head to someone who only wore a t-shirt and jeans, of course it would attract attention.Piers understood, then he sat down in front of Ethan. He was still adjusting his breathing, so that his nervousness would disappear. Right now, Piers could only remain silent after what happened to Ethan. His eyes kept avoiding Ethan.Ethan crossed his legs. “There are two reasons why I asked you to meet.”Piers was stunned. He immediately raised his head. Tonight, Ethan deliberately did not return to the hotel. For some reason he felt that someone had been watching him from afar all afternoon. With quick steps, Ethan went to a small bar on the edge of town.Ethan immediately approached the storefront. A male bartender with a bushy beard greeted him. “I've never seen you before. Anything you'd like, sir?”Ethan tapped his finger against the display case, as if in thought. Then he glanced at the bottles of alcohol behind the bartender. “Something light. I want something that doesn't have a strong aroma.”The bartender frowned. “Ah, you have a unique taste. Just wait a moment.”Some of the people who had heard Ethan's order joined in the laughter. This was a gathering place for people who wanted to get drunk and forget the troubles of the world. Lin raised both hands. His fingers became longer, and his nails also became longer. “I've drunk the blood. Tonight I have full strength.”Lin firmly believed he was in his prime. Fighting burned a lot of magical energy from his vampire power. However, due to the blood supply, he could feel a great deal of power flowing inside his body.Ethan calmly gave a small smile. Not because he underestimated Lin, but because Lin seemed to be an easy target. Ethan had not fought using only his physique for a long time. Fighting a vampire follower would be a nice warm-up.Lin stepped quietly closer to Ethan. Every footstep echoed in the room. “Hoo... you can still smile even though you know you will be hunted down by me. Even though I've defeated 5 Demon Hunter in these ten days. They are very weak. I will continue to fight and grow stronger, until I can kill Piers Reaggan. As Lord Alucard requested.”Ethan narrowed his eyes. “So Piers is your target?”Lin stopped 5 meters right in front of Ethan.

Lin glanced at his wounds. Blood continued to ooze from the wounds as Ethan targeted his arteries. His heart was beating faster and his head was getting dizzy. “Ugh... my head!”Ethan grinned. “Your blood keeps coming out. In a matter of minutes, you'll be dead. Not even the hospital can help you. Immediately he glared at Ethan and set up a fighting stance. Breath rushed out of his mouth and nose. “Monster! “Get out of this place, or you won't make it out alive!” The man cocked the shotgun with a loud, echoing sound, as if to reinforce his threat. The young girl behind him cowered in fear, her eyes glancing at Ethan over her father's shoulder. Her face was as pale as paper, her lips quivering silently, as if she had just seen death in human form.Ethan slowly raised both his hands, his palms open upwards in a sign of peace. His face remained flat, cold as a stone statue. There was not a hint of fear in his eyes, as if the shotgun blast was just a trivial matter.Stepping away from the table, Ethan tilted his head, his gaze fixed on the man. In a low, calm voice he tried not to provoke the man with the beard. “Calm down, sir. Ethan stood at the edge of the gravel road, his boots touching the ground damp with morning dew. Fresh air slipped into his lungs, carrying the distinctive scent of wet leaves and a hint of clay. She took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. The cold air mixed with her hot exhale, forming a light mist in the morning.“How long have I been without air like this?” he murmured softly, his eyes gazing at the dense forest on the other side.A wooden signpost stood askew on the side of the road, the writing slightly faded, but still legible: Dogu. Ethan touched the board with a finger, the wood rough and mossy. The village felt unfamiliar to him, but his steps remained steady following the small road that led to it.Along the way, the sound of children's laughter echoed. Some ran around in bare feet, sending dust into the air. A small boy held a battered kite, its string tied tightly in his hand. Ethan glanced at them, the corners of his lips lifting slightly-a rare smile. However, the peace

Trevor calmly turned around, placing his gun on the dusty display case. His movements seemed confident, but there was a mystery lurking behind his smile. With one swift movement, Ethan slipped his dagger back into the holster, but his eyes remained fixed on Trevor. A shadow of suspicion crossed his mind. “How can you make something stronger than your grandfather's work?”Trevor tilted his head, as if savoring the moment. “That's why he retired. I've perfected his technique. He knew it was time to leave the shop to me.”He paused for a moment, staring intently at Ethan. “So, what are you looking for, legendary Mr. Demon Hunter?”Ethan

The old wooden door creaked softly as Ethan pushed it with his fingertips. Cold air mixed with damp smells greeted him immediately, like the scent of a long-locked basement. His footsteps were barely audible as he entered the building, as if the dusty old floor didn't want to betray his presence. Sunlight only slipped through a few small cracks in the windows.Ethan scanned the room. Nearly collapsed wooden shelves stood along the walls, filled with dusty bottles and almost illegible labels. The traces of time were clearly imprinted on every corner of the store, from the shabby carpet to the cracked ceiling. He stepped up to the glass display case in the center of the room, looked at the soberly displayed goods, then pressed the small bell on the counter. The sharp clinking sound echoed in the silence, as if disturbing the sleeping souls in the place.A man appeared, wearing a neat black suit with a crimson bow tie. His appearance contrasted with the condition of the building, but the

He gazed at the city of Silverhaven, his eyes radiating a mixture of calmness and firmness.Hugo exited the room with quick, decisive steps. The door slammed shut, leaving Ethan sitting back in his cushioned chair. He leaned back, hands interlocked in his lap. A thin, meaningful smile graced his face. His eyes narrowed, as if he was weighing something. In almost a whisper, he said to himself, “You shouldn't play with fire, Thalia.”On the other side of the building, the Blake family boardroom was filled with enthusiastic energy. Hugo stepped forward, turned the doorknob gracefully, then pushed it slowly. He smiled respectfully at Ethan. “Please, Mr. Ethan. This is your room.”The room behind the door exuded undeniable elegance. The crystal chandelier reflected warm light onto the walls decorated with classical ornaments. A large mahogany table stood firmly in the center, with leather swivel chairs that looked inviting to sit on. A relaxed but dignified atmosphere filled the air.Ethan stepped inside without hesitation. His leather shoes made a soft sound as they touched the shiny marble floor. He walked slowly towards the swivel chair behind the desk, then sat down in a relaxed yet authoritative manner. The backrest of the chair accepted his back comfortably, while both hands rested on the arms of the chair. He turned the chair slightly, looking at Hugo who stood with a proud smile.Hugo looked relieved, like a heavy burden had finally been lifted. The small smile on his face signaled undisguised happiness. H
