“Arrest him, he's got a weapon. Don't let him get away!” the security guard pushed Ethan's body into a policeman.
Ethan glanced at the security guard. A smile of satisfaction was painted on his face. Followers of the creatures of darkness did have a very annoying nature. As devil worshipers, they would be possessed by demons and have various abilities.
To the Demon Hunter, they were still human beings. They are not allowed to be killed. However, they also always act as allies of the demons. Making it difficult for the Demon Hunters. Their suddenly blackened corneas were strong evidence that they had demons inside them.
The policeman grabbed Ethan's shoulder. “Move! Get in the car. I'll confiscate all the weapons you're carrying.”
Ethan walked into the police car, while the security guard smilingly waved his hand. Briefly, Ethan knew the security guard's plan. He wanted Ethan to be taken to the holding cell, so that the other dark beings there could gang up on Ethan. In short, the security guard actually didn't have enough power to beat Ethan at the moment, so he used the police as a tool.
The policeman drove the car quickly. He grimaced slightly when he saw Ethan's face through the rearview mirror. “So you're the one named Ethan Hunter?”
Ethan immediately glanced over. “You already know?”
The cop chuckled. He shook his head slightly, feeling satisfied to be able to see the bridge of Ethan's nose in this car. “Isn't this a coincidence? I got a report about you yesterday. And I arrested you right here. Edward will give me a lot of money.”
Ethan began to understand. The Chulkin family had many connections to the police. This cop was one of them. What Ethan didn't expect was that he would immediately encounter problems from two worlds. From the world of darkness and the world of humans.
Ethan remained calm. He exhaled and then leaned his body against the chair. There wasn't the slightest worry on his face. Which made the policeman wonder.
The cop glanced back at Ethan's eyes through the rearview mirror. “Huh, you're a poor and jobless man. You've already messed with Edward Chulkin, breaking his big toe. For someone like you to bring a sharp object to a car showroom, you're bound to commit a crime there, right?”
Ethan tilted his head. Even if Ethan revealed the true incident, Ethan would still be brought to the police station because of the report from Edward Chulkin. So, Ethan just smiled.
The policeman became annoyed with Ethan's response. He deliberately pulled over, then turned to Ethan angrily. “Don't you know who I am, Ethan Hunter? I'm deputy Rio Hansen. I could throw your ass in jail and let you get your ass kicked by the inmates there. The Chulkin family's power in the police department would make you a corpse in a heartbeat!”
Ethan nodded slowly. “I'm looking forward to it. Why don't you try it?”
Rio opened her eyes wide. He actually felt challenged by Ethan's words.
The policeman immediately looked back to the front, then drove the car faster than before. “Now I know why Edward Chulkin wanted to put you in jail so badly. You criminal son of a bitch!”
Moments later, Ethan was dragged into the police station roughly by Rio. The policeman then took his wallet and pushed Ethan's body into the temporary prison.
The people arrested that day looked at Ethan sharply. However, in an instant they shrank as they felt Ethan's sudden aura of dominance.
A police colleague of Rio's came up to Rio. “Who is he?”
Rio grinned. “He's that guy. The fool who dared to seek trouble with Edward Chulkin. He was caught carrying a sharp weapon into a car showroom. Isn't this a good catch, Karl?”
Karl immediately raised his eyebrows. He also felt that this was a good thing. If they reported this arrest to their superiors, they were sure to get a lot of money. After all, who wouldn't want to contribute to the Chulkin family? Even many of the superiors were affiliated with the family.
Rio showed the items he confiscated from Ethan. A silver knife, 4 packs of silver bullets, and a wallet. “Just hand these over as evidence, then he will definitely be arrested. Coupled with the report from Edward Chulkin, this guy will have no hope of getting out. So stupid.”
However, Karl's expression suddenly changed when he saw the knife and bullet pack. His eyes could not blink. His hand immediately grabbed the silver knife. “Wait, why do you have this weapon in your hand?”
Rio frowned. “Hey... that's evidence of a crime! You can't take it carelessly.”
Karl then turned to Ethan. Ethan's face looked very calm. In fact, Ethan casually sat down and leaned his back against the iron bars. Then, Ethan let out a mysterious little grin.
Karl immediately shuddered. He hurriedly grabbed Ethan's wallet, then he took a black card in the wallet.
Karl immediately took all the objects from Rio, which made Rio confused. Karl also glared at Rio. “Fool! Why did you bring him here?”
Rio immediately frowned. He was confused by Karl's actions. “What have I done? You yourself agree he's a good catch!”
Karl glared at Rio. “Release that man, then return all his belongings! Don't let the Lieutenant find out about this.”
Karl took the cell key, trying to open the door. Rio, who had gotten a little more money from the Chulkin family, stopped him. “Hey, Karl! Why are you doing this? He's our guy!”
Rio grabbed the key. Then an increasingly pale Karl was distracted as the Lieutenant approached them. “Oh, no!”
Rio, who saw the Lieutenant approaching, was eager to announce his catch. With a big smile he approached the Lieutenant. “Lieutenant Finn, do you remember the report that Edward Chulkin filed to arrest someone named Ethan Hunter? Good news, Lieutenant. I've done it successfully. In fact, he could get more charges for bringing a weapon into a car showroom.”
Lieutenant Finn looked toward the cell. He saw for himself that Ethan looked very calm. However, his eyes remained fixed on Lieutenant Finn. “Him?”
Rio nodded. “Yeah, he's the one. Look at what this punk is carrying, a knife.”
Rio showed the silver knife. Instantly the Lieutenant opened his eyes wide. Karl quickly approached and whispered to Lieutenant Finn. “Lieutenant, he has a license...”
Lieutenant Finn picked up the silver knife. Then he slammed it straight into Rio's face. “Idiot, don't you know what you're doing?”
Rio was of course shocked by this incident. He didn't know what he had done wrong to get hit in the face. “Lieutenant, why did I get hit?”
Lieutenant Finn broke out in a cold sweat. “Release him and apologize to him!”
Rio furrowed her brow. “Lieutenant, he's a criminal! How can he be released?”
Lieutenant Finn kicked Rio instead. “I don't want to know! Release him right now!”
Rio had never seen Lieutenant Finn that angry. He immediately did what Lt. Finn told him to do. He opened the cell door and let Ethan out.
With quiet steps, Ethan walked and stopped in front of Rio. Ethan's gaze was slightly higher than Rio's. “I haven't heard your apology, Rio.”
Rio clicked his tongue. “Why should I?”
The lieutenant hit Rio again, now on the back of his head. “Do it, you punk!”
Rio glanced at Lieutenant Finn with an angry look. At this point he didn't know where he went wrong. With a heavy breath, he began to speak. “I'm sorry.”
Ethan smiled slightly. He then walked past the Lieutenant's side. Before he left, he patted the Lieutenant's shoulder. “Good job, Lieutenant.”
Then Ethan left the place quietly.
After Ethan left, Karl and Lieutenant Finn could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Rio looked puzzled.
“Lieutenant, why would you let someone like that get away?”
Hearing the question, Lieutenant Finn immediately gave him a sharp look. “Fool! It's still a good thing he just walked away. You almost cost us all our lives!”

Rio frowned. “I don't understand. What were you thinking, Lieutenant? You're letting the man who injured Edward Chulkin get away with it.”The lieutenant glanced sharply at Rio. With a firm step he approached the deputy with anger. “Listen, damn it! If you still love your life, stay away from people with black cards. Even if they carry a sharp weapon or a gun.”Rio tilted his head. He realized that he wasn't a completely honest cop. However, letting a civilian carry a weapon was not something that could be justified. “So, Lieutenant is saying that cops like us shouldn't bother people like that even if they hurt others?”The lieutenant shouted loudly. “Yes! If they kill someone, you should never arrest them! Do you hear me?”Rio frowned. He really didn't understand the Lieutenant's train of thought. Karl immediately dragged him back. “Rio, never mind. Don't make the situation more precarious.”When Rio and Karl had moved away, Lieutenant Finn returned to his room. He lit a cigarette wi

“Uncle Ronald, Thalia and I are leaving here. Make sure you send her away!” Betty stood up from her seat. She took Thalia by the hand to leave the place immediately. According to her, the longer they were there, the hotter they would get with Ethan's presence.Ronald nodded. “Leave this guy to me.”Thalia grinned slyly at Ethan. She could imagine that Ethan would be humiliated by Ronald while she and Betty went somewhere else to have fun. With a glance and a frivolous smile, she turned around. “Bye, loser.”Thalia and Betty laughed as they left Ethan and Ronald there. In front of Ethan, Ronald bent at the waist while exhaling. “This is not good, apparently you have a problem with my nephew. I won't allow you to work here no matter what.”Ethan tilted his head. “I'm not here to apply for a job.”Ronald snorted. “So what? “I'm sorry, Mr. Ethan. What happened earlier was not intentional.” Piers bowed deeply. He had a cold sweat on his temples.Ethan who was sitting down gave a small nod. “Sit down. You're making us conspicuous.”Piers immediately raised his head. He looked to the side, there were several café employees who were watching them while whispering. Someone who was dressed neatly and classy bowed his head to someone who only wore a t-shirt and jeans, of course it would attract attention.Piers understood, then he sat down in front of Ethan. He was still adjusting his breathing, so that his nervousness would disappear. Right now, Piers could only remain silent after what happened to Ethan. His eyes kept avoiding Ethan.Ethan crossed his legs. “There are two reasons why I asked you to meet.”Piers was stunned. He immediately raised his head. Tonight, Ethan deliberately did not return to the hotel. For some reason he felt that someone had been watching him from afar all afternoon. With quick steps, Ethan went to a small bar on the edge of town.Ethan immediately approached the storefront. A male bartender with a bushy beard greeted him. “I've never seen you before. Anything you'd like, sir?”Ethan tapped his finger against the display case, as if in thought. Then he glanced at the bottles of alcohol behind the bartender. “Something light. I want something that doesn't have a strong aroma.”The bartender frowned. “Ah, you have a unique taste. Just wait a moment.”Some of the people who had heard Ethan's order joined in the laughter. This was a gathering place for people who wanted to get drunk and forget the troubles of the world. Lin raised both hands. His fingers became longer, and his nails also became longer. “I've drunk the blood. Tonight I have full strength.”Lin firmly believed he was in his prime. Fighting burned a lot of magical energy from his vampire power. However, due to the blood supply, he could feel a great deal of power flowing inside his body.Ethan calmly gave a small smile. Not because he underestimated Lin, but because Lin seemed to be an easy target. Ethan had not fought using only his physique for a long time. Fighting a vampire follower would be a nice warm-up.Lin stepped quietly closer to Ethan. Every footstep echoed in the room. “Hoo... you can still smile even though you know you will be hunted down by me. Even though I've defeated 5 Demon Hunter in these ten days. They are very weak. I will continue to fight and grow stronger, until I can kill Piers Reaggan. As Lord Alucard requested.”Ethan narrowed his eyes. “So Piers is your target?”Lin stopped 5 meters right in front of Ethan.

His face remained flat, cold as a stone statue. There was not a hint of fear in his eyes, as if the shotgun blast was just a trivial matter.Stepping away from the table, Ethan tilted his head, his gaze fixed on the man. In a low, calm voice he tried not to provoke the man with the beard. “Calm down, sir. Ethan stood at the edge of the gravel road, his boots touching the ground damp with morning dew. Fresh air slipped into his lungs, carrying the distinctive scent of wet leaves and a hint of clay. She took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. The cold air mixed with her hot exhale, forming a light mist in the morning.“How long have I been without air like this?” he murmured softly, his eyes gazing at the dense forest on the other side.A wooden signpost stood askew on the side of the road, the writing slightly faded, but still legible: Dogu. Ethan touched the board with a finger, the wood rough and mossy. The village felt unfamiliar to him, but his steps remained steady following the small road that led to it.Along the way, the sound of children's laughter echoed. Some ran around in bare feet, sending dust into the air. A small boy held a battered kite, its string tied tightly in his hand. Ethan glanced at them, the corners of his lips lifting slightly-a rare smile. However, the peace

Trevor calmly turned around, placing his gun on the dusty display case. His movements seemed confident, but there was a mystery lurking behind his smile. With one swift movement, Ethan slipped his dagger back into the holster, but his eyes remained fixed on Trevor. A shadow of suspicion crossed his mind. “How can you make something stronger than your grandfather's work?”Trevor tilted his head, as if savoring the moment. “That's why he retired. I've perfected his technique. He knew it was time to leave the shop to me.”He paused for a moment, staring intently at Ethan. “So, what are you looking for, legendary Mr. Demon Hunter?”Ethan

The old wooden door creaked softly as Ethan pushed it with his fingertips. Cold air mixed with damp smells greeted him immediately, like the scent of a long-locked basement. His footsteps were barely audible as he entered the building, as if the dusty old floor didn't want to betray his presence. Sunlight only slipped through a few small cracks in the windows.Ethan scanned the room. Nearly collapsed wooden shelves stood along the walls, filled with dusty bottles and almost illegible labels. The traces of time were clearly imprinted on every corner of the store, from the shabby carpet to the cracked ceiling. He stepped up to the glass display case in the center of the room, looked at the soberly displayed goods, then pressed the small bell on the counter. The sharp clinking sound echoed in the silence, as if disturbing the sleeping souls in the place.A man appeared, wearing a neat black suit with a crimson bow tie. His appearance contrasted with the condition of the building, but the

He gazed at the city of Silverhaven, his eyes radiating a mixture of calmness and firmness.Hugo exited the room with quick, decisive steps. The door slammed shut, leaving Ethan sitting back in his cushioned chair. He leaned back, hands interlocked in his lap. A thin, meaningful smile graced his face. His eyes narrowed, as if he was weighing something. In almost a whisper, he said to himself, “You shouldn't play with fire, Thalia.”On the other side of the building, the Blake family boardroom was filled with enthusiastic energy. Hugo stepped forward, turned the doorknob gracefully, then pushed it slowly. He smiled respectfully at Ethan. “Please, Mr. Ethan. A large mahogany table stood firmly in the center, with leather swivel chairs that looked inviting to sit on. A relaxed but dignified atmosphere filled the air.Ethan stepped inside without hesitation. His leather shoes made a soft sound as they touched the shiny marble floor. He walked slowly towards the swivel chair behind the desk, then sat down in a relaxed yet authoritative manner. The backrest of the chair accepted his back comfortably, while both hands rested on the arms of the chair. He turned the chair slightly, looking at Hugo who stood with a proud smile.Hugo looked relieved, like a heavy burden had finally been lifted. The small smile on his face signaled undisguised happiness. H
