“Going for some fresh air, Mr. Ethan?” the man standing behind the reception display case smiled mysteriously at Ethan.

Ethan glanced at the person. A young man in his twenties. He stood tall in white clothes and a black suit. A different person to the one Ethan met when he previously entered the Gold Hotel.

With slow steps Ethan approached the person. His eyes narrowed slightly, wary of this person. “Do you know my name?”

The receptionist nodded. “Mr. Jim told me about you.”

Jim was the receptionist who had greeted Ethan earlier. He must have also told this young man that Ethan was a former Demon Hunter. Thus making him friendly to Ethan.

Ethan glanced at the name tag on his chest. “Jason... Jim taught you well, Jason.”

Jason gave a small smile. He bowed his head in respect. “Thank you. Maybe you haven't remembered, but I'm still alive thanks to Mr. Ethan. I almost fell prey to a Wendigo a few years ago, but Mr. Ethan came and killed the Wendigo.”

Ethan gave a small nod. He really didn't remember when it happened. Moreover, Ethan had fought the wendigo several times in the mine on the edge of Silverhaven town.  Jason must have been a resident who previously lived near that area.

Ethan then turned around and was about to leave. However, Jason called out to him again. Ethan turned around.

Jason pulled out a silver knife. “Mr. Ethan, I heard that you had many encounters with creepy creatures. Please accept this as a gift from me for saving me.”

Ethan looked at the silver knife. The knife looked pretty good. It looked like Jason used a lot of money to make this knife.

Ethan took the knife with a slight smile. “Thank you.”

Jason then said a little. “Enjoy your hunt, Mr. Ethan.”

Ethan didn't respond and turned around. He left the smiling man behind.

Ethan thought that Jason was probably just like Jim. They didn't think that Ethan was retired even though Ethan was no longer a Demon Hunter.

Right now, Ethan just wanted to live as an ordinary citizen. Ethan already had money that would continue to grow every month and a good living. There was no need to work as a Demon Hunter to earn money anymore.

Today Ethan intended to go to a car showroom. Undeniably, right now Ethan needed a vehicle to do things. However, just as he walked outside the hotel, a luxury Lambo approached and stopped in front of him. Piers got out of the car and came up to Ethan. “Good morning, Mr. Ethan Hunter.”

Ethan nodded with a frown. Piers' presence in this place was unexpected by Ethan. Whereas previously Ethan had said he would not return to the Hunters Organization.

Piers then opened the car door. “Mr. Ethan, is there somewhere you want to go? I can take you.”

With sure steps, Ethan got into the car. Piers then closed it, then he got into the driver's seat.

Piers tried to be as calm as possible, but he couldn't control his racing heartbeat. He had seen how strong Ethan was, of course he couldn't be careless.

Piers used a friendly tone. “Mr. Ethan, what place do you want to go?”

Ethan looked out the window. “The nicest car showroom.”

Piers carved a smile on his face. “Ah, you finally decided to start using your money. I'm sure the person who dumped you will regret having abandoned a great person like you.”

Ethan immediately glanced sharply at the rearview mirror. He didn't like it when anyone brought up Thalia Blake again in his presence. The glance instantly made Piers pale, realizing that he had misspoken.

Piers averted his eyes and gulped. “Please forgive my words, Mr. Ethan.”

Ethan slowly turned his gaze back. He looked back at the streets of Silverhaven city that he hadn't enjoyed for three years. Ethan's purpose in buying a car was not to show off to Thalia. Let alone make her feel sorry.

The reason was simple, Ethan needed a vehicle for future mobility. There came a time when Ethan also needed to get out of the hotel and meet new people in his life as an ordinary citizen.

Ethan took a breath. “You came to me. Why?”

Piers felt Ethan's question deepen. He sensed a tense atmosphere. The charisma possessed by Ethan was gripping enough even for a strong person like Piers.

Piers needed to catch his breath. Then after a few seconds he exhaled softly. “There are things you should know, Mr. Ethan. It's about the Hunters Organization...”

Ethan frowned. “I have no intention of becoming a Demon Hunter or part of the Hunters Organization.”

Piers nodded his head. “Well, I can understand that, Mr. Ethan. However, there is a big problem that you need to know. All of this is about Cornellia Bridgit who you previously defeated.”

The name Cornellia Bridgit immediately caught Ethan's attention. “Tell me what happened.”

Piers calmly lowered the speed. He focused on the story he was about to tell. “As you know, Cornellia Bridgit is a vampire. More surprisingly, Cornellia turned out to be a descendant of vampire royalty. After you killed Cornellia Bridgit at the Hunters Organization base, the vampires have taken revenge. There were about 50 Demon Hunters dead hunted by the vampires in Silverhaven city. Chances are, they are looking for you, Mr. Ethan.”

Piers then took out four boxes containing bullet packs made by the Hunters Organization. Then he handed them to Ethan. “I'm not inviting you to the Hunters Organization, or even to return to being a Demon Hunter. However, please accept these to protect yourself if the vampires come.”

Ethyan narrowed his eyes slightly. It had been thought that one day Ethan would definitely encounter monsters or creatures of darkness. That was why he took his weapon at the Hunters Organization base. However, Ethan did not expect that he would be targeted by creatures of darkness so soon.

Ethan took the bullets. Inevitably he needed to prepare himself to once again act as a Demon Hunter even though he was no longer tied to the organization.

A few minutes later, Piers' car stopped in the parking lot of a showroom that had expensive vehicles. Piers saw that the clothes worn by Ethan were very simple, not portraying Ethan as a person with money. “Mr. Ethan, would you like me to come inside this showroom?”

Ethan opened the car door. “No need. Thank you for the bullets.”

Ethan closed the car door. Then he coldly walked towards the showroom building.

In front of the showroom, Ethan was immediately stopped by security because the metal detector sounded. The security guard, who had an unfriendly face, frowned. “Take out all your stuff!”

Ethan clucked his tongue. He hadn't expected a metal detector in this place. When Ethan put down his things, the security guard was surprised to see that there were bullets and military knives there. He immediately restrained Ethan's hands. “Don't move! You're carrying suspicious objects!”

Ethan calmly raised both hands. “The knife and bullets were a gift from my friend. They're not dangerous objects.”

The security guard didn't believe him. “Shut up! Put your hands on the table!”

Ethan followed suit. The security guard began to search Ethan's pockets. However, the unexpected happened. The security guard immediately took out handcuffs and put them on Ethan's hands.

Ethan, who was surprised by the actions of the security guard, turned to him. “Why am I in handcuffs?”

In a quick glance, Ethan could see that the security guard had a smile on his face, and his eyes were black. Ethan could immediately understand what was happening. This security guard was a subordinate of a creature of darkness. He knew that Ethan was a Demon Hunter from the items he was carrying.

A smile of satisfaction was painted on his face. Followers of the creatures of darkness did have a very annoying nature. As devil worshipers, they would be possessed by demons and have various abilities. To the Demon Hunter, they were still human beings. They are not allowed to be killed. However, they also always act as allies of the demons. Making it difficult for the Demon Hunters. Their suddenly blackened corneas were strong evidence that they had demons inside them. The policeman grabbed Ethan's shoulder. “Move! Get in the car. I'll confiscate all the weapons you're carrying.”Ethan walked into the police car, while the security guard smilingly waved his hand. Briefly, Ethan knew the security guard's plan. He wanted Ethan to be taken to the holding cell, so that the other dark beings there could gang up on Ethan. In short, the secu

With a firm step he approached the deputy with anger. “Listen, damn it! If you still love your life, stay away from people with black cards. Even if they carry a sharp weapon or a gun.”Rio tilted his head. He realized that he wasn't a completely honest cop. However, letting a civilian carry a weapon was not something that could be justified. “So, Lieutenant is saying that cops like us shouldn't bother people like that even if they hurt others?”The lieutenant shouted loudly. “Yes! If they kill someone, you should never arrest them! Do you hear me?”Rio frowned. He really didn't understand the Lieutenant's train of thought. Karl immediately dragged him back. “Rio, never mind. Don't make the situation more precarious.”When Rio and Karl had moved away, Lieutenant Finn returned to his room. He lit a cigarette wi

This thin man did not look Ethan directly in the eye. Tending to look towards the right. The eyes are a difficult organ to lie to. After all, Ethan had seen this man's evil actions from the beginning.Ethan asked back angrily. “You're still evasive?”The man immediately showed an angry face. “Do you have any proof, huh? You've been accusing me of nonsense ever since. You must really like making people look bad. Just stop what you're doing. You can get other people in trouble.”Ethan smirked slightly. Right now Ethan was witnessing how someone could strongly resist an accusation that was clearly very visible. Even if the evil of this person was only Ethan who realized it.The man then hit Ethan's hand grip. “Let go of me. I'm getting off here!”Ethan didn't budge. The blow felt quite weak to Etha

“Edward broke it off unilaterally. I'm really upset with him!” Thalia's face turned red as she ate a meal with Betty, her close friend. They were at a café far from Thalia's office. Thalia deliberately chose this place because she didn't want anyone to hear their conversation. Moreover, this is a premium cafe where not many people come at a time like this.Betty, the girl with glasses and butterfly cut hair nodded slowly. Her eyes were sharp and calm, looking directly into Thalia's eyes. Even though Thalia didn't look directly into Betty's eyes.Thalia held her forehead. “I'm dizzy... Edward has suddenly become like this.”Betty tilted her head. Her pink lips puckered slightly after hearing Thalia's long story. “I don't understand, Thalia. Her eyebrows immediately furrowed. “Betty, this is no small matter. I'm already pregn

“Uncle Ronald, Thalia and I are leaving here. Make sure you send her away!” Betty stood up from her seat. She took Thalia by the hand to leave the place immediately. According to her, the longer they were there, the hotter they would get with Ethan's presence.Ronald nodded. “Leave this guy to me.”Thalia grinned slyly at Ethan. She could imagine that Ethan would be humiliated by Ronald while she and Betty went somewhere else to have fun. With a glance and a frivolous smile, she turned around. “Bye, loser.”Thalia and Betty laughed as they left Ethan and Ronald there. In front of Ethan, Ronald bent at the waist while exhaling. “This is not good, apparently you have a problem with my nephew. I won't allow you to work here no matter what.”Ethan tilted his head. “I'm not here to apply for a job.”Ronald snorted. “So what? From your appearance, you look like someone who doesn't own a house, or a vehicle.”Ethan nodded his head. “Yes, I don't have a house or a car.”Ronald's blood rose af

“I'm sorry, Mr. Ethan. What happened earlier was not intentional.” Piers bowed deeply. He had a cold sweat on his temples.Ethan who was sitting down gave a small nod. “Sit down. You're making us conspicuous.”Piers immediately raised his head. He looked to the side, there were several café employees who were watching them while whispering. Someone who was dressed neatly and classy bowed his head to someone who only wore a t-shirt and jeans, of course it would attract attention.Piers understood, then he sat down in front of Ethan. He was still adjusting his breathing, so that his nervousness would disappear. Right now, Piers could only remain silent after what happened to Ethan. His eyes kept avoiding Ethan.Ethan crossed his legs. “There are two reasons why I asked you to meet.”Piers was stunned. He immediately raised his head. Unconsciously, he swallowed, afraid of the words that would come out of Ethan's mouth. “What are those reasons, Mr. Ethan?”Ethan put on a serious face. Hi

Tonight, Ethan deliberately did not return to the hotel. For some reason he felt that someone had been watching him from afar all afternoon. With quick steps, Ethan went to a small bar on the edge of town.Ethan immediately approached the storefront. A male bartender with a bushy beard greeted him. “I've never seen you before. Anything you'd like, sir?”Ethan tapped his finger against the display case, as if in thought. Then he glanced at the bottles of alcohol behind the bartender. “Something light. I want something that doesn't have a strong aroma.”The bartender frowned. “Ah, you have a unique taste. Just wait a moment.”Some of the people who had heard Ethan's order joined in the laughter. This was a gathering place for people who wanted to get drunk and forget the troubles of the world. This was the first time they had seen someone order something light.A few moments later, a small glass of drink was placed in front of Ethan. Ethan immediately took the drink and downed it.As E

Fighting burned a lot of magical energy from his vampire power. However, due to the blood supply, he could feel a great deal of power flowing inside his body.Ethan calmly gave a small smile. Not because he underestimated Lin, but because Lin seemed to be an easy target. Ethan had not fought using only his physique for a long time. Fighting a vampire follower would be a nice warm-up.Lin stepped quietly closer to Ethan. Every footstep echoed in the room. “Hoo... you can still smile even though you know you will be hunted down by me. Even though I've defeated 5 Demon Hunter in these ten days. They are very weak. I will continue to fight and grow stronger, until I can kill Piers Reaggan. As Lord Alucard requested.”Ethan narrowed his eyes. “So Piers is your target?”Lin stopped 5 meters right in front of Ethan.

Its thin, towering body bent over slightly, its long claws gripping the wet ground. He could not see clearly, but he did not need to. Its black nostrils flared, inhaling the air deeply, searching for traces of scent in the surroundings. The smell of gunpowder... sharp, burning his sense of smell. It mixed with the sweat and blood of the human in front of him-not prey, but a threat. It's head turned quickly towards Ethan, as if he had just realized something. It's long, ragged ears twitched, detecting every slightest movement.
