Chapter Three

In order to test it out and confirm that he wasn't actually dreaming, Peter walked to the nearest ATM machine he could find as he didn't even have a single penny on him to commute. After walking for half an hour he finally found an ATM machine, pulling out his old rusty looking card from his pocket, he inserted it into the machine and typed in a withdrawal of $100,000.

He had just wanted to test it out without much hope, for all he knew his mind might be playing tricks on him due to the hopelessness of his life, however in a few seconds, the ATM machine began to gush out cash that made his jaw drop.

Peter almost felt the need to slap himself, perhaps he'd wake up from this dream.

"I'm not dreaming, the system is actually real." Peter jumped feeling ecstatic.

This was the opportunity of a lifetime, and with this he would make sure to reverse his fate. No one would look down on him from this moment on, no one would dare to insult his sister from this moment on.

It was the first time Peter was riding in a cab throughout his whole life, he'd mostly wait hours for busses or just walk back home. But after leaving the ATM with his pockets filled with cash, he happily stopped a cab and headed home, however immediately he got down from the cab in the old rusty district with terrible roads and trash everywhere. Peter's eyes turned cold when he sighted Lisa being flung out of her wheelchair by a few men.

"What the hell is going on here?" Peter rushed to the entrance of the old, tiny apartment he lived with his sister.

"Brother." Lisa looked up at him with large tear filled brown eyes. Just like Peter she was a young and beautiful girl, and Peter's heart always ached to see her in tears.

"Brother's here, no one will hurt you."

He quickly picked her up making sure to support her so she wouldn't fall before he faced the men angrily, he recognized one of them.

"How could you throw her off her wheelchair like that? She might have gotten hurt!" Peter growled.

"So what if she got hurt? If you can't afford a wheelchair, then just let her crawl on her hands. It's been months now since you came to purchase this wheelchair on installment, but you still haven't paid the balance yet. Do you think I'm running a charity? If I was I'd just go randomly giving out wheelchairs to cripples on the street. Pay up the balance you owe, or I'm taking back this wheelchair." The owner of the store where Peter had bought the wheelchair yelled, he was a chubby man with a large beer belly that poked out of his suit. He'd come along with two men who'd forcefully snatched away the wheelchair.

At this moment, the money wasn't the issue for Peter, however seeing how roughly they'd shoved away his sister angered him immensely.

He was just about to speak when the voice of a woman loudly cut him short, "Well, well, well, it seems today isn't your lucky day. I came here to collect the rent, only to meet you in an argument for another debt. You sure are a worthless young man. I don't care what trouble you've gotten yourself into, pay up the rent or I'll throw you out of my building."

"So he can't even pay the rent, yet he wants to buy an expensive wheelchair for his crippled sister? Hmph, delusional idiot!"

*Ding! Face slapping quest triggered!*

*Quest rewards: $500,000,000 to be spent in a day.

*Time frame for quest completion: 30 minutes.*

Peter calmly found a chair at the side, he carried Lisa and sat her down on the chair before coming back to the conflict. The wheelchair was kept aside, it wasn't the cheapest type of wheelchair as Peter had purchased it to ensure comfort for Lisa. So it cost about $500, due to the fact that he had agreed to pay on installment, with monthly interest the money he had to pay now was $1,500.

Peter wordlessly grabbed the wheelchair.

"Why are you taking the wheelchair when you haven't paid for it? Are you trying to steal it right in front of my eyes? Shameless thief, you..." The chubby man wasn't able to complete his words when Peter slammed his foot on the wheelchair repeatedly, the rusty iron bent and the wheels rolled off.

"Scum, you have no money, yet you dare to destroy my wheelchair?" The man turned to his escorts, "What are you two waiting for? Get him. I'll teach you a lesson for this!"

The men hadn't even reached him when Peter pulled out a stack of cash, he slapped it onto the chubby man's stomach.

Immediately he sighted the cash, everyone quietened down, their mouths left agape.

"I've paid fully for the wheelchair, I have a right to destroy it. Lisa only deserves the best, I won't let her even sit on such a low quality wheelchair. You've got your money, now scram!"

The chubby man drooled at the cash, judging by it's weight, the cash should be nothing less than five thousand dollars.

His expression changed and he immediately chuckled awkwardly, "Mr Peter, you could have brought out the money sooner, I wouldn't have misunderstood. You can break and destroy the wheelchair all you like, now that you've paid all the money, even more, I have no right to question you anymore." His tone was fawning and he immediately lowered his neck.

Looking at Peter's appearance, the boy didn't look like anyone who should have such an amount of money on him. Perhaps he was really a thief and had gone to steal a lot of money, but that was no longer his business. As long as he was able to get a large sum of money today, he was more than happy to lower himself before the boy.

"Since it's settled, I won't disturb you anymore Mr Peter, I'm sure you have better things to do with your time. Let's go boys." Holding the stack of cash, the chubby man was about to leave when Peter coldly called.

"Wait!"

With a hint of wariness in his eyes the chubby man stopped in his tracks, slowly turning around to face Peter again.

"According to the national health administration, defective health items being sold should be reported. A wheelchair costing $500 should be able to hold the weight of an adult, yet I just stomped on it a few times and it got destroyed just like that, not to mention it's just been a few months, yet the metal is beginning to rust. What if my sister had grown older using this wheelchair, she could have gotten injured due to its sudden destruction."

"This..." The man was rendered speechless, he wanted to defend himself but couldn't find the words.

Months ago when Peter had come to purchase the wheelchair with the intention to pay on installment, the store owner had immediately given him from the defective goods. Seeing that he was just a ordinary boy, there was no way he would be able to tell. And by the time the signs of defect would have started to show, he would have gotten his money completely, however months passed by and the boy didn't come to pay, hence the man rushed over to intimidate him and get all his money before the boy would begin to notice anything wrong with the wheelchair.

Peter retrieved his phone, took a picture of the wheelchair along with the name of the store, he sent it to the national health administration official page with a complaint.

"What are you trying to do?" The chubby store owner asked seeing Peter typing away on his phone after taking a picture of the wheelchair.

"Making sure you never sell defective goods to anyone else again. I hope you use all that money well, because you'll be losing your store from now on."

"You..." The man couldn't even speak, in the end he hurried away running on his chubby legs to go prevent his store from being closed down. Which was impossible because before he even left the place, the news had already reached the health administration who were immediately taking action on shutting down his store.

The landlady who'd witnessed this whole situation was left stunned in place, she couldn't even breathe.

This useless boy staying in an apartment she rented didn't just pull out a huge amount of money at once, but he also made that man lose his business all at once. Could she even dare to offend him?

He was a walking money bag, how could she send him out of her building again?

"Hehehe, since I've known you for a long time. You and your sister can stay..." The woman didn't even get the chance to finish her words when Peter slapped another wad of cash to her hands before wordlessly turning around to pick up his sister. He didn't even stay to try to pack whatever little belongings they had left in the small apartment, he decisively left with his sister in his arms.

Greedily hugging the cash to herself the landlady couldn't speak anymore.

In this world, money speaks the loudest. For years she had been looking down in this boy, but with a single wad of cash, the lousy landlady couldn't even say a word. In fact she could kneel and call him grandfather if he asked her to.

Lisa stared at her brother in surprise, she felt like something about him had completely changed. Though she was only thirteen years old, she was calm and wise like an adult. "Brother, where did you get all that money?" She asked curiously.

Peter smiled mysteriously knowing it was unbelievable, so his demeanor sounded as if was joking when he replied, "From heaven."

He knew she was about to ask more questions so he quickly said, "You don't have to worry Lisa, from now on, brother will give you the best life."

*Ding!*

*Quest complete!*

*Reward disbursed!*

Once again Peter received a bank alert on his phone.

His face lifted in a smile.

Let's see who dares to call me worthless from now on.
