Fight Between Two Legendary Tier Beasts

Shian began to kill beasts with more fervor. After witnessing a beast eat all the crystals he had saved for opening the portal, he was extremely annoyed which lead him to almost double his kill count. If Shian could kill two beasts in three minutes, now he could kill four beasts in four minutes.

Shian's main aim to enter a beast realm was to get high tier crystals in order to use them to forge a new set of beast equipments. He also planned to sell some crystals in order for him to have some money with him.

Shian had gathered enough crystals and was heading back to the base, he placed the crystal in the compartment of the portal and closed the lid. He turned it on and waited, the blue glow in the portal intensified, Shian was about to go through it when the glow dimmed down.

Shian quietly went to a corner and sat down, he was seriously depressed, the crystals were not enough to power the portal. Shian was tired and he had several injuries on his body that were struggling to heal. He thought of resting for a while before going to hunt for more crystals.

He brought out a dish of food he had stored in his space ring and began to eat, halfway into the food he felt a vibration on the ground, he stopped what he was doing to confirm if what he felt was real, after waiting and not feeling it again, he ignored it and continued eating. Some minutes later he felt the vibration again, this time more fiercer, dust from the ceiling fell down slowly and settled on the floor and on his food.

Shian immediately got up and ran outside to find out what was causing the vibration, he summoned his long sword, the same sword in which he had used to kill the beast that had ambushed him when he slept in a cave on his first day in the beast realm. The sword had a green one edged blade and a white handle.

On getting outside, he saw in the distance, two massive beasts fighting. one of them looked like a giant Rhinoceros while the beast it was facing looked like a giant snake.

The rhinoceros charged at the snake with force, if Shian was close to the fight he would have struggled to keep up with that level of speed. The snake swung it tail from above like a whip aiming to crush the rhinoceros in one fell swoop, the rhinoceros jumped to the side without slowing down its momentum and the tail crashed on the side and sent out a shockwave.

Shian could see dust rising in the distance and coming closer while destroying everything in it's wake, he knew that he will be blown away by it.

He got down on one knee and thrust his sword into the ground and waited. When the wave almost reached him, the sword glowed faintly, and out of the ground, thick roots burst out and wrapped themselves around his waist, arms and legs. Shian braced himself for the impact and when it reached him, he held on tight.

The force pushed against Shian furiously, the roots were strained but held on firmly, Shian himself was not feeling okay but he had to hold on for his dear life.

After some torturous seconds, the shockwave finally passed by. Shian coughed out blood and fell on his back, he gasped to catch his breath, he got up and was about to go into the base and rest when he saw another shockwave speeding towards him. Shian hastily pulled out his sword and ran into the base.

His sword had the active skill that made the user able to hold something down with the roots in the ground. One disadvantage of this skill was that, if there were no roots in the ground in that area, it won't work.

As Shian entered through one of the holes in the walls, he grabbed onto a door handle because that was the closest thing to hold at that moment.

The shockwave reached him and he was lifted off his feet. The only reason he wasn't immediately flung against the wall was because he held on tightly to the door handle.

Shian once again struggled, he held on until it was all over. He fell face first on the ground and bruised his mouth, he coughed out more blood and wiped it with his clothing.

He was already feeling dizzy from hitting his head hard, he stretched his hand to grab the door and pull himself up. Shian didn't notice that the ground had vibrated which indicated that another shockwave was on its way.

Shian held the door by the edge and pulled himself, midway to getting up he caught a glance of the dust and debris closing in on him, his hand shot forward as he summoned his scythe, he stuck the blade of his scythe in the door handle because he couldn't reach it in time. He was pushed back with more force than before, the door couldn't handle the pressure, it groaned before snapping.

Shian was blown away and crashed against the wall, the shockwave kept him pinned to the wall, Shian didn't know how long it lasted but he persevered, and when it stopped, he fell from the wall, but this time, he landed on his feet.

Shian was bleeding severely, both internally and externally, his scythe had cut him on his leg when he was blown away and some of his wounds that had closed, reopened. He sat there and didn't move for a while in case he needed to brace himself for another impact.

After about five minutes, he got up and limped outside, he saw the rhinoceros walking towards his direction, Shian was scared shitless. He wanted to run but realized that even if he ran the oversized rhinoceros would catch up to him in no time, so he stood there, rooted to the spot.

As the beast was getting closer, Shian saw a deep bite mark on its neck with purple veins that was constantly pulsating.

"It's going to die soon, that's great news. I better not move then to prevent it from noticing me."

Shian stood there like a pole and waited patiently. The rhinoceros kept on walking in his direction and ignored him, when it reached Shian's side, it stopped and turned to look at him.

'oh f**k f**k f**k, I forgot about the blood' Shian thought

The rhino sniffed him and smelt blood, it opened its large mouth and was about to swallow him whole, Shian closed his eyes and began to pray to all the gods he knew of.

The beast was taking its time and moved its head slowly, it suddenly convulsed and dropped to the ground with foam coming out of its mouth, the beast was envenomed by the giant snake which Shian came to know as a Basilisk.

Shian was instantly relieved of the pressure that had built up in him.

He lay down on the ground and rested his aching body. A wide and scary smile slowly crept up his face and he said.

"Let's go and harvest some crystals"
