Fight for My Life

Shian didn't realize what was going on until he had fallen through the portal.

"Shit. I'm so dead, did that asshole not see where he was going." Shian didn't know what to do. He got up to have a good look of his surroundings.

The first thing that came into his view was the extremely bright orange light that was immediately filtered out by his vision and the slightly sandy wind blowing on his face that was unlike anything he had ever experienced in his life.

The ground was completely arid with nothing but orange rocks covering it, there were various cracks in the ground and small rocky hills in the distance with the abnormal shapes of semicircles.

Orange glowing balls covered some of the orange sky that Shian could not tell were either moons or stars. Out of the seemingly completely dry dead ground, grew purple flowers of dazzling beauty, its deep purple glow very profound, some of them growing straight out of the tiny cracks on the ground.

Shian turned around frantically, hoping to find a base where he could go to and head back to earth, but unfortunately, he found none.

Back on earth

"Did you do it?" A muscular boy with thick white hair asked a man who walked into an alley where he was.

"Of course I did, no one even noticed a thing" The man replied.

As the man spoke, his skin shifted, it changed color and texture, all his wrinkles disappeared, he became taller and thinner, his hair changed color and length, it changed from brown to blonde, his clothes weren't spared from the changed.

His whole body changed from the man who pushed Shian through the portal to one of the boys who followed Seth.

"Let's see how he will evade that now" Druber said with a cold smile as the trio walked away.

Shian could be seen walking on the arid and dusty ground with blood dripping down his left arm.

"Demons. Those spiders are demons" Shian said with bated breath.

As he said that, he heard a clattering sound behind him, something seemed to be closing in on him as the sound kept getting louder.

"Why won't this spiders just leave me alone"

He knew what was making the clattering sounds and summoned a weapon.

A long scythe weaved itself out of nothing into his hands. The scythe had a long brown handle, while the blade was black with a jagged end. It was one of the basic tier weapons that Shian had.

Beast equipments boosted the users agility, strength, defense and stamina, depending on the tier of the weapon and the quality of the equipment.

Right now the scythe Shian was wielding boosted his agility, strength and stamina.

He watched and waited for the spiders to show up. The spiders didn't make him wait for long as a one meter tall spider, with eight red glowing eyes and eight long powerful limbs that looked to be made of metal jumped at him from his side. Shian slashed at the spider, severing it cleanly in half.

Killing that spider had triggered the other spiders to attack. Immediately they attacked, all hell was let loose.

Shian hacked, whacked and slashed repeatedly. The spiders kept pouring out of wherever they came from. Shian didn't know how long it went on, but eventually he prevailed.

He stood in the midst of the dead beasts with his scythe in his hands and blood pouring down his body. The black blood of the beasts and his own red blood mixed together created a gruesome wallpaper.

Shian bent down to collect the beast crystals in the beasts, he replaced his war scythe with a short dagger and began working.

After a while, Shian was done with gathering the crystals. As he turned around to leave, the ground rumbled.

He picked up speed and began to run, not willing to face the abomination that made the ground quake.

After reaching a good distance he stopped to catch his breath, he was really lucky to not have encountered any powerful beasts based on the fact that he was in a red portal, he saw a cave ahead and walked towards it, after confirming that there was no danger, he lay down on his back and brought out a pillow from his space ring.

"It's a good thing I brought this." Shian said to himself. "You never know when you might need it."

Soon he was fast asleep.

Back where he had massacred the spiders, a beast was feasting on the dead bodies of the spiders, it chewed on both the flesh and metal-like chitin of their legs.

While Shian had struggled to even scratch their metal-like limbs, the beast easily broke them between its maws.

The beast was black-skinned in colour with thick black fur covering it's body, it was ripped and walked on all fours. It had razor-sharp fangs on its snout and two pairs of narrow yellow eyes and most importantly it was gargantuan in size, so large that it could rival a one story building.

It devoured all the carcasses and licked its mouth.

The ear of the beast twitched, it sniffed the air and turned to the west where Shian had headed and began to walk in that direction.

Meanwhile, Shian was sleeping peacefully without a care in the world.

A mound in a corner of the cave suddenly began to move, it circled him slowly a few times then began to move towards him with frightening speed, when it got close to him, the creature in the mound jumped out and opened it's mouth to reveal circular rows of sharp tooths. It bit down with force and then.....

.....blackblood splattered everywhere.

Shian had already noticed the movement from the beginning and raised his guard up, waiting for the perfect moment to deal with whatever was stalking him. He had spent most of his life living in the outskirts where beasts were much, so it was hard for someone or something to sneak up on him.

Just like that, the hunter had been hunted.

Shian deemed that place unsafe and began his journey once again. He placed the pillow back into the space ring, he retrieved the crystal from the dead beast, cleaned the sword he used to kill the beast, got up and left the cave.

2 hours later

Shian had walked until his legs were hurting, he sat down on the dry ground and brought out a flask of cool water that he had stored in the ring.

"Come to think of it, I've not really thought about how I got here. Sure I know that that man pushed me in here accidentally, but the place he was headed was weird, if I wasn't in the way, he would have walked right into the portal." Shian spoke to himself. He thought out loud in hopes of solving the mystery easily. He thought deeply for a while before eventually coming to a conclusion.

"That's it. He must have been sent, but who could have sent someone to kill me. I barely know anyone, or could it be that dude called Druber because I remember he said that 'I'm dead'."

"No he can't be the one." Shian said while shaking his head, but the more he thought of it, the more it seemed like the truth.

Just then the ground began to rumble, much more fiercer and louder than the previous time. Shian scanned the area and saw a black dot closing in on him with blurring speed.

"I knew this was going to happen but not this soon. Well, it looks like I'll need to fight for my life."
