Ch 7 - The Healing Kiss (Edited)

Then she put my head on her lap and, with her hands, covered the gunshot wound in my stomach to stop the blood from gushing out of my body.

"Bella is okay... This is my fate, death always wins!" I accepted my fate.

"My lord! Me stupid! I should be aware of my mana condition." She cried.

Then I put my hand on her pretty face to stop her from talking and to ease her heart's sadness.

"Don't blame yourself!" I said firmly and

I looked around, and I saw they were dressed like soldiers from the earth.

"Are you guys from Earth?" I asked.

"Who told you to run?"

Then he kicked me in the groin.

"My Lord! I'm sorry... I could not protect you." More tears streamed down her face.

Then the soldier pulled her by the hair and slapped her face so many times. That very act turned my heart to pieces.

"Everyone lies down on the ground," another soldier announced with a firm voice like a command.

"I don't understand! Why do you guys do this?" I asked because I could not comprehend what was happening around me.

"This happened because you murdered our people!" he claimed another thing that still didn't make sense.

"Well, I'm not to blame!" I replied.

'If I have power, I can save Bella and get out of this situation!' I thought.

"Death to you all. Let our voice be heard!" The other soldier declared, and then he pointed his gun to aim at people who were already down on the ground.

*BANG! BANG! BANG! *

I saw that innocent people had been shot in front of me.

They shot their hearts out with a devil's smile on their faces.

After a couple of minutes, they stopped shooting for a moment. I raised my left hand because my other hand held the open wound on my belly.

"Please, please spare her life!" I begged, as my body felt weak, and my eyes were almost closed.

"My dear, heed my voice. Please act like you are dead. I will save you!" Exclaimed someone with a feminine tone. Her voice seemed to echo from inside my mind.

"Who??" I asked, but I didn't look around because I knew the voice was coming from inside my mind.

*BANG! BANG! BANG! *

*BANG! BANG! BANG! *

I heard another gunshot, and my eyes almost closed.

'Is this my last moment? Bella! Please be safe!' I thought with hopelessness, but I still wished for Bella's safety.

After a while, I stopped hearing the gunshots.

"My dear, I'm sorry! I'm very late!" I heard a female voice nearby. The voice was like someone calling me in my mind.

'Who is calling me?' Then my eyes were closed, I was so exhausted, and my mind felt like it would shut down.

Suddenly, I felt someone's soft lips on my mouth and the tongue entering and swirling inside my mouth.

I unintentionally swallowed the saliva, and I felt some kind of energy going through my body as I no longer felt pain.

I opened my eyes and saw a woman's face close to mine while her tongue still swirled inside my mouth.

Then I pushed her away very hard.

"Who are you?" I asked, and I tried to look around for Bella, and I noticed everyone around me was dead.

I touched my stomach with no wound, and blood was gushing out of my body.

"I'm healed? What was happening?" I was baffled.

"My name is Humune! Your sword of death! Please use me!" She locked her eyes on mine and told me something crazy.

"Where is Bella?" I asked because her life is my top priority.

"She is still alive, my dear, there to your left!" Humune replied. She pointed in Bella's direction.

Then I looked to my left, and I saw Bella still alive. I noticed her chest movement and that there was no gunshot injury present, but her face was bruised by the abuse of the soldier.

"Please, help her!" I demanded with humility shown in my face.

Humune nodded, and she hurried to Bella's position.

Then she materialized some kind of blue stone, put it in Bella's mouth, and pinched Bella's lips gently to close them.

"This is a mana stone, absorb it! Our dreamer is waiting." She spoke loudly. I sensed anger in her voice.

"What a personality you had there! Could you speak kindly to her?" I asked in the hope of stopping her from speaking rashly to my beloved Bella.

Humune nodded in agreement and didn't wish to reply to my advice.

I held Humune's hand, in the hope she would understand my emotion.

"I'm sorry, my dear! She failed to protect you!" Humune replied very politely to me, and I was surprised by the sudden change of attitude again.

"I'm the one who has failed. She is my first Confidere, I'm responsible for not being able to protect her." I said what I thought. I didn't want her to look down on Bella.

"Sorry, my dear! I was just thinking about you... I won't do it again!" She replied with a gentle voice, and she kissed me on the forehead and kissed me on the cheek. After that, she knelt to me. The way she knelt to me felt like Deja Vu.

"Please make me your second Confidere my dear! I will protect you!" She exclaimed in a charismatic way of hers. She stared into my eyes with her pretty green eyes.

"I accept! Then I will use you well." I accepted her without hesitation the reason was that I needed her power to save Bella and me.

Probably to gain back my destroyed territory and possibly go back to Earth.

*DING! *

System [ Second Confidere accepted! ]

I ignored the sound because I got used to it without any display. I hoped there would be a system display, so I could manage to understand more about the system in my brain.

"Thank you, my dear...!" Humune replied and the smirk on her face made me wonder what she was thinking.

I noticed she had long blond hair and red lips. The red lips were very nice to look at and seemed like they were begging me to suck on them.

'Oh no, she is pretty when I take a proper look at her face and lips. Let's just focus on getting out of here for now,' I thought to myself.

After a few minutes passed, Bella regained her mana and energy, but I didn't know by how much.

She got up, pulled me to her melons with her black robe, and hugged me tight with her hands.

Both of my hands locked around her neck properly.

"Are you okay, my Lord?" Bella asked and she smiled at me.

"Yes, I'm okay. So your mana replenished, right?" I asked.

"Yeah, I guess!" Bella replied.

"Absolutely... My dear! But mana stones cannot charge her mana properly, it's only for a jump start, she is a processor, not a mage." Humune explained, and I was shocked upon hearing the new information about a mage.

"What do you mean? A mage?" Another crazy piece of information after another.

"Yes, a mage is from the northwest continent, they are our mortal enemy." She explained.

"What about complete replenishment of her mana?" I asked because I wanted to help recharge Bella's mana completely if I could.

"Does Bella not tell you? We need something from you for our mana replenishment, our very hearts and souls are yours alone!" She replied with more information that made me wonder.

"Okay..." I replied.

I no longer wanted to ask anything until I digested all the information that I received. More answers would raise another question.

*THUP! THAP! THUP! THAP! *

Suddenly, I heard a sudden footstep coming our way.
