A few days after the supposed incident, Catherine was finally coming home. And despite Derek's complicated feelings, he still took his time to prepare her a delicious meal to eat.

"I'm coming," he announces right after he hears the sound of the doorbell. Some seconds ago, he heard the sound of a car pulling up in front of the apartment.

He had just finished setting up the table so he quickly rushed over to the door to get it. When he opens it, he finds Catherine standing there with a bag in her hand.

Catherine was still as beautiful as ever. Her petite structure was one to die for and there was no doubt that her facial beauty still has Derek mesmerized even after years of marriage to her.

One thing he found strange was the fact that she has a long sleeved top on which he thought wasn't appropriate for the weather.

Perhaps it was as a result of where she was coming from. That was the thought he used to wash out any negative presumption he had about the initial thought.

A smile makes its way to Catherine's face as she drops the bag on the floor and then quickly spread her arms wide to envelope Derek into a hug.

Derek doesn't pull away from it. Instead he relishes the moment because even if he was skeptical about the things she was doing, he still loved her.

"I missed you so much, baby," Catherine says as she pulls out of the embrace.

"I did too," Derek flashes her a smile when he says that. He then picks up the bag before they both walk into the living room of the apartment.

"I cooked," he announced as he heads up the stairs to drop the bag in their room.

After he successfully put the bag down, he picked up the box that contained the skirt and then took it downstairs.

He left the box in the living room to join Catherine in the dining. She had already began eating the meal he cooked for her.

"This is so delicious, baby. Thank you very much," she appreciates him. "And thank you for keeping the house so tidy. You're the best."

He could only force a smile in return. It took him a lot not to bring up the conversation about the skirt to her. He knew it was not the right time.

Once she was done eating, she left him to go freshen up in the room while he tended to the dishes and cutleries. He then proceeded to patiently wait for her in the living room.

Catherine came out dressed in a long sleeved pyjama. The moment she sits, Derek shows her the box.

"What do you know about this?" he asks her, his voice stern to reflect he was not playing around.

"Did you get me a gift?" Catherine asks in return, her eyes expectant of what could be possibly inside the box.

He doesn't say anything but instead takes out the skirt from the box. "This is yours," he says, pointing toward the flowery pattern on it to signify that it was indeed hers. "Why was it sent in a box to me?"

The uneasiness that washes over Catherine's face has Derek worried immediately. He feared the worst all of a sudden.

That's possibly why you have it here with you."Her explanation wasn't adding up. To Derek, it didn't make much sense. It was more like she was trying to play around with him."I don't get you," Derek declares. "Why would

She always mentioned her to him every now and then."Okay, so Stacy who got the role of an hostage wanted to switch roles and I agreed to it. To be honest, I didn't expect her to tie me up so tight that it ended up bruising my body."The details she gave was too good not to be true. "Well I saw him with a lady that day and trust me, they were in the most intimate position you could possibly think of as they went into a room. "I wouldn't have thought of anything because I saw only their backs but I heard the man call the lady a very familiar name," Marcus explains. "What name did he call her?" Derek asks, a bit bothered about what answer he was going to get. "Kathy. He called her Kathy. And I could have sworn that I recognized the lady's features." Derek was in an instant dilemma. It was as if he had just been shot with the truth that he was trying not to believe. "When did this happen?" he asked in a bid to analyze the information. "It's been a while, man. Like a month ago, I think." "And you're just telling me now?" "I didn't know how to present it to you. I wasn't even sure. "Isn't Kingston's Hotel here in the city?" "

"It's not like I'm the only one who has a lover," she says, looking away from him.Derek heard that loud and clear and it was too much of information to process because he knew she was getting somewhere with that."What do you mean by that?""Nothing," she says, folding he

Derek asks to clarify the situation."Yes, that's what I'm saying," Nadia states. "Even after the party, some of those businessmen tried to book private appointments with me but I declined all of their offers because I couldn't do such."Derek looked at her sarcastically. As the cream melted down her mouth, she felt a sensation that made her giggle without a care in the world."Now that was weird," Derek stated but then got back to his question. "How did the meeting with Eugene go? Was he able to convince you this time around?"Gina wanted to take another scoop from the ice cream when she heard that question which then put her to a halt."Hmph, of course not. It was as if she just wanted him to talk and then get through with it."At least I met you in, didn't I? I don't understand why you're making a big deal out of it," the woman said.Derek didn't respond to that, perhaps worried that he was going to speak out of line if he did."So, why did you reject my offer? You had a long time to decide and at the end of it, you said no. There has to be a reason. And it had better be a good one."He sat there quietly for some time before he finally decided on saying something."It doesn't feel right, Edna."The woman's gaze at him was a mixture of stern and confusion. He was furious at the person that did that just to get his attention."I've been calling your name but you didn't hear me." If it had been someone else other than Gina, he would have taken his frustration out on the person. He could only keep his rage to himself because of her."I'm sorry," Gina apologized.
