2024-10-29 19:42:56Bryan saw the targer shout at him, and call him a weirdo. Everyone looked at the girl with a surprise expression on their faces, even the teacher was stunned as he heard what the girl just said.
“Do you know each other Ms Maryanne?” David asked a bit confused at the sudden outburst. Maryanne regained her composure and noticed everyone's attention was directed at her, bluehed and shook hrr head.
“Sorry, I guess I got the wrong person." Maryanne glared at Bryan as she once again sat on her chair, blaming Bryan for the embarrassment sbe was currently facing.
“Okay, why don't you introduce yourself then.” David gestured at Bryan to make his introduction.
Bryan stood in an upright position and was about to salute but stopped himself from doing so. After getting pushed away from the Houstons years ago, he had always fantasized himself of being a soldier, besides, soldiers fear no one and are respected everywhere. He graduated with good grades just to fulfil his Mom's wish and also help out his Mother, but his true heart had always lied in the path of military, which was why he joined the military and willed all his salary to his Mother, that way her bills will be paid and she will be taken good care of. He was so devoted to beijg a soldier that he didn't know his personality had changed.
Now standing in front of a class filled with undergrads of Harvard University, he didn't know how to behave so as to blend in.
“I'm Bryan Grayson. Nice to meet you.” Bryan felt that his introduction was good, but when he looked at his classmates he felt something was off. Everyone in class thought that the transfer student was too formal or something similar, they could not describe what they felt with words.
Sensing the awkward atmosphere, David asked Bryan to take the extra seat at the back of the class. Once Bryan sat down he kept on staring at Maryanne. Homeroom was now over and the maths teacher entered. The teacher saw that Bryan wasn't listening but kept on staring at Maryanne. Infuriated, the maths teacher wrote a hard math problem she herself had difficulty solving back in her office that day. This problem was one she could not solve in the few minutes of break she had.
“Mr Grayson, will you please answer the question on the board?” the math teacher saw Bryan look at the board once, and went back to looking at Maryanne who finally noticed that Bryan was staring at her.
She glared at Bryan who was staring at her, but Bryan didn't bother with that and continued staring as he went near the blackboard.
The maths problem wasn't really a biggie to him, he had solved it and other math problems so many times back in his university days.
Everyone was confused as to what the transfer student was doing. Maryanne was indeed one of the top beauties of the school and her father was a mysterious powerhouse that the students didn't know about, but now they were all wondering if Maryanne did something to the transfer student to make her this interested in her. Then the group remembered Maryanne's reaction upon seeing the transfer student, she called him a weirdo. Perhaps the two already knew each other and the transfer student already confessed to Maryanne.
Bryan didn't even look at the board while solving the problem, his eyes were still on Maryanne. He believed he was to watch her at all times or else a little mistake could cost him this mission. He must never let his eyes off her. All his focus was on Marian at the moment. He needed to understand her basic quirks, and the only way to do that quickly is by watching her.
Bryan put down the whiteboard marker and returned to his seat still looking at Maryanne. The maths teacher saw the answer Bryan gave and was completely shocked. The answer was correct, and the way he answered the question was in a more efficient manner than what she knew of.
“Correct..” the math teacher was in a daze the whole subject, since she wasn't able to understand how Bryan was able to answer so flawlessly.
The next class came and this time Maryanne couldn't handle Bryan's staring anymore. She raised her hand and told the teacher about her problem with Bryan's inappropriate staring. The teacher decided to make Maryanne and Bryan switch seats, so that Bryan could be situated in front while Maryanne at the back. Maryanne didn't really want to be placed at the back, but right now she just wants Bryan to stop staring at her.
Yet when they switched seats, Bryan simply turned his head and continued to look at her. Maryanne esd starting to be creeped out by Bryan's actions. The teacher noticing Bryan seemingly having no plans to listen to the lessonx he asked Bryan twenty questions of different importance, and Bryan was able to answer him without facing him. Bryan just kept on answering as well as explaining why the question the teacher posed was wrong, all while keeping him eyes glued on Maryanne.
This kind of scene repeated until recess time, where Maryanne pulled Bryan out of the classroom and headed towards the roof. Their classmates who saw this were in shock. They stopped loving for a moment as to truly get a glimpse of what was going on. The way Maryanne acted solidified their claim of Bryan being a former friend of Maryanne, and some even claimed that Bryan had once confessed to Maryanne when they were little. A lot of rumors got born immediately Maryanne drew Bryan towards the roof. In spite of all the rumors, the one name that got stuck on everyone's lips was; Bryan the Weirdo.
