Chapter 1_Caught Cheating.

Whoops!

Dust flung in the air as the bicycle came to a hard stop. Birds that were walking on the streets flew away at the sight of the tires coming dangerously close to them.

'Woah! What a handsome man.'

'Look at those moves.'

'So cool.'

The girls around them began murmuring. He rolled his eyes; perhaps they hadn't seen who it was before calling him handsome. If they knew that it was him, they were going to start insulting him.

It was a sunny day, and he was out to deliver the food that had been ordered from the restaurant he was working for.

Dressed in worn-out khaki pants and a worn-out shirt. He jumped off the bicycle, balancing the two boxes of food in his hand.

'Turns out to be the school loser.' One of the girls scoffed.

'I can't believe that I drooled on him.' Another voice rang out with irritation in her voice.

'Isn't he the school mad horse loser?'

'It's him.'

He turned their heads to look at them, and all the girls looked away like they hadn't been talking about him seconds ago.

School Mad Horse Loser Hah! That was the name the school bully gave him. He liked the name; it made him feel powerful, even though he was a real-life loser.

He had gotten into the school on a scholarship. He wasn't a typical straight-A student who got a scholarship. He was granted a scholarship because his father had a connection with the principal.

They were once friends, and the principal owes his dad one.

He was in the middle of college; he had ditched school that day to take more jobs. He had promised his girlfriend that he was going to get her a new swimsuit for her swim practice.

Although the swimsuit was going to cost all of the money he had made, He was willing to give it to her; he didn't mind skipping school to earn the money.

She was probably inside the school, seated in the classroom, and waiting for the time to be over. He pushed the other box to his left hand and reached for his pocket to take his phone.

Glancing around, he searched for the lady with his eyes. He still hasn't seen her. Just as he was about to turn away, a skinny girl hurried out of the school building, waving her hands at him.

"Are you the delivery guy? You were fifteen minutes late." She yelled as she jogged towards him.

Perseus waited until she was standing in front of him. He wanted to apologize for being late, but before he could reply, she took the boxes from him.

Offering him a cute smile, she turned around and jogged back into the building like she had come out.

He turned around since it was all settled. The girl looked familiar, but he had no idea where he had seen her. Shrugging it off, he headed for his bicycle. He was getting on it when the corners of his eyes caught sight of someone on the crosswalk.

'Isn't that Celia?' He thought.

Celia was his girlfriend; their relationship has lasted up to two months. Their two-month anniversary was in a week. Celia claimed that their anniversary should be celebrated every month, and he was to buy her a gift on the anniversaries. She had demanded a phone for this anniversary and a swimsuit.

Perseus was already preparing a surprise for her in advance of their anniversary.

It wasn't the swimsuit; he was taking her out to buy the swimsuit after his shift was over. He was glad that he had seen her now; he was going to take her along on his bicycle to receive his paycheck and then take her to buy the swimsuit.

"Celia!" He called out, but she was too far away to hear him.

She was already on the other side of the road. Perseus abandoned his bicycle and began running towards the road where she was.

Celia took the path towards the right and kept on glancing around nervously. She mainly kept her eyes on the road, as if someone were going to pop out and see her doing something bad.

Soon, a man who was leaning against a sports car came into view as she approached. He had his hand in his pocket and a cigarette on the other hand. He was wearing an armless suit, and tattoos were all over his arms and all the way to his wrists.

He looked so imposing; standing at 7'0, he was extra large for someone his age. There was a slight scar in between his eyes, and that gave him a rakish appearance.

He was frowning before he saw her, but when she came into view, The frown on his face disappeared, replaced with a smile.

"Baby." He purred as he pulled her toward himself by the waist.

Celia pulled away from him and glanced around again. "I told you not to hold me like that when we are still in school."

Perseus was still waiting for the green light to turn on so he would be able to pass through. He couldn't see Celia, but he knew exactly where she was.

The green lights turned, and he sprinted past through the crosswalk and hurried over to where he had seen her. He had a smile on his face as he headed in that direction.

"Come on, baby, I have told you to get rid of your loser boyfriend and be with me." The man pulled her even closer and placed his head on her shoulder.

Celia tried to push him off, but he was holding her too tight. "We can't be seen together; I am still dating Perseus."

"You are already cheating on him." The man informed her. "Why are you acting all saintly now? I thought that you were going to leave him for me."

"I…"

"I am far richer and stronger than he will ever be. He is just a loser who is not worthy of you."

Celia managed to pull away from him. "I can't be seen with you when everyone knows that I am dating him. It is bad for my reputation. I know that he isn't in my class or worthy of me; I still need him to spend all of his money to get gifts for me."

The man shook his head, his impatience running out. "I can get you whatever you want; just name it."

It was Celia's turn to lean in closer to him now. She let him hold her waist this time without complaining.

"Really? You are going to get me anything?"

"Yes, just say the word, and I will get it done."

He cupped her face in his hand and leaned in to kiss her. Celia closed her eyes and raised her head to meet his lips.

Just then, Perseus, who had been following her, froze in his tracks as he came into contact with his girlfriend, about to kiss someone else.

She hadn't even let them hug; he had only held her hands, and now she was in the man's hands. He had also heard all that she thought of him.

"Celia Aaron, how dare you cheat on me?" Perseus's voice pierced through the air.

The voice was so loud that the man who was holding Celia trembled and released her. That allowed Celia to jump out of the man's hand like she had seen a ghost. Her head snapped in Perseus' direction.
