“I'm late,” Almond muttered.

Roman and Mr. Sullivan were walking down the stairs when they saw Perseus lying lifeless on the couch. Identical evil smiles appeared on both the father's and son's faces.

“See, it was easier to poison them.” Roman chuckled. “I thought he was going to be smart enough to realize that the food was poisoned.”

Almond turned his head to glare at them. “Shut up!”

Roman wasn't listening; he kept on going on and on. “I'm going to go after everyone close to him and do exactly what he did to me.”
