Perseus wasn't expecting it either. It came off like a surprise.

“Boss, I apologize for not greeting you first, but...” The leader tried to say, but when Timtat kicked him, his words were cut off.

“This guy is my boss!” Timtat pointed at Perseus. “And you are taking orders to hit him?”

The leader shook his head rapidly and glanced around as if looking for something to blame.

“Fire, what's going on?” One of the gangsters interjected. “Is he the big boss you were talking about?”

The leader's gaze landed on the man who had told him to kick Timtat out of that way earlier.

Rising to his feet, the leader grabbed the man by the arm and threw his feet against the man's face, earning a grunt from him. “Boss, it is all his fault; he told me there was a job we could do.”

“You took orders to hit my boss?” Timtat's voice was low and menacing.

The leader quivered under Timtat's gaze. “I'll deal with the ones who hired me instead.”
