“What are you doing?” Luke tried asking, but Lexi covered his lips with her palm.

“Shh.” She whispered. “They are here.”

Footsteps filled the room, along with voices. Luke shoved himself deeper behind the table, afraid they might see him, but Lexi was more concerned about them hearing his movements.

She silently curses since she hasn't found Perseus' parent's files yet. She might not have the chance to find them at all.

The legs of the men were crystal clear to them as they walked past the large table where Lexi and Luke were hiding.

Lexi glanced at Luke, ready to help if he began panicking. Luke had already folded the files and shoved them into a bag that Lexi didn't know he was carrying.

“I see nothing wrong with this door.” Mr. Kurt said as he stood in front of the door he had tried getting open. “Is it blocked?”

Mr. Hope's eyes darted to the pin that was lying on the floor. He ignored it like it was nothing.

“Quit staring at the door, Kurt. Let's get the files and leave.”
