“Look, it suits you better,” Perseus announced.

Immediately, the collar wrapped around the man's neck. His hand weakened, and he dropped Lexi, whom Perseus caught before she could hit the floor.

The man reached for his neck, trying to pull the collar off, but it was no use. It wouldn’t budge. All the other faces paled as they watched what happened. They had placed their hope in one person, and he had failed.

Perseus glanced at Lexi. Her eyes were still closed, and she looked more like she was sleeping.

“How could you put the collar on me?” the man demanded, still gripping the collar and trying to remove it.

“You shouldn’t have threatened me,” Perseus responded before walking off. “Now, it’s your turn, guys. Either pick me as your boss, and I’ll give you the freedom to do whatever you want, or would you rather die?”
