Chapter 402_Meeting Archie

Archie sat at the computer screen, savoring a hot cup of coffee. He watched as Perseus and the others headed for his office. A sneering smile of satisfaction curled up his lips.

He had his glasses on, which glittered from the light of the screen.

The men he sent had been lifesavers; they wanted their freedom so badly that they brought Perseus to him alive. He could tell that Perseus gave up willingly and that the men persuaded him to come along.

He squinted his eyes to see that the men were carrying a woman and a man. His eyes brightened; he was finally going to meet a woman outside the company and see if she was suitable as a subject for his experiment.

“Come in quickly,” he muttered, smiling.

He shook the mug in his hand, steam rising from it and floating in the air. Raising the mug to his lips, he drank all its contents. He ignored the burning sensation on his lips and shook his head.
