Upon arriving at the company, Perseus was greeted by Adrianne and Vince. Vince’s gaze lingered on Eris a little longer than necessary before he spoke up.

“Eris, you should join the rest of the gamers. The president will be busy until noon,” Vince informed her. “You can update him on your discussions with the others later.”

Eris wanted to protest; she needed Perseus to help with the game since they were going to market it at the event the next day.

“It’ll be alright, Eris,” Perseus reassured her, calming her down. “You can handle it on your own for a while, and I’ll be there by noon.”

Eris sighed. “Okay.” She turned and headed towards the gaming section.

Perseus watched her until she was out of sight, then turned his gaze back to Adrianne and Vince.

“What’s going to keep me busy until noon?” Perseus asked, trying to recall his schedule.

Adrianne smiled. “I think you’ve forgotten that the CEOs of other gaming companies have arranged an event to meet each other, and you’re supposed to at

Perseus glanced at Delinder. She was in a long silver dress and high heels, her gaze focused intently on him. “Okay. Why?”Delinder arched her brows, taking out her phone and holding it up for him to see. “You were supposed to reply to my texts,” she stated. “That was one of the rules of the streaming platform.”Perseus stared at her phone. “You sent a text?”She growled in frustration. “Didn’t you say that we should send a text?” she demanded. “We spent the amount needed to have a private meeting with you.”Perseus frowned, tempted to buy the streaming company and change the rules. However, there was no point in altering rules that had already benefited him greatly.“Are you willing to spend this private time with me here?” Perseus asked. She frowned at him. “No way!”“Have a little respect for my fiancée,” he replied. “She came here with me, and we are partners at this party. I don’t know who you are, and you don’t know me, so don’t look for me.”He brushed past her, Sherry still ho

Ava pointed an accusing finger at Sherry. “Who the hell are you to get involved in our conversation?”No one at the party said a word; they had no idea whose side to take. Both women belonged to the upper echelons of society, and no one wanted to risk offending anyone, so they chose to remain silent and neutral.Sherry winked at Ava, a thin smile on her lips. “I’m his fiancée, and he lets me say whatever I want to bitches like you.”Perseus glanced at Sherry and sighed.“I’m here with him too,” Delinder added, stepping closer. “Your husband is no match for Perseus, and I believe Perseus can take down all of your husband’s corporations in a blink.”Perseus glanced at Delinder, surprised she was helping him even though he hadn’t asked for it. Ava’s brows twitched, her grip on the glass tightened, and she scowled at them.“You’re asking for it!” Ava screamed like a banshee. “Guards!”The guards appeared immediately when called.“Get them out of here!” Ava ordered. “Or do you want to lose

Fritz glanced at the paparazzi in front of him, his eyes widening in surprise. “Bankrupt? What the hell are you talking about?”One of the reporters held a mic in front of him. “We received an anonymous tip informing us that your companies are going bankrupt and being claimed by someone else. Not only that but the illegal activities of your company have been exposed. How are you going to defend yourself against these allegations?”“Has your company gone bankrupt?”“Aren’t you supposed to be a wealthy man?”“How could you go bankrupt when you’re the one who usually makes others bankrupt?”“How does it feel to go bankrupt? You've done that to so many others—did someone finally do it to you?”Fritz’s eyes shifted from one person to another, speechless and utterly bewildered. His phone buzzed incessantly, adding to his frustration. He had to step away from the reporters, who followed his every move.Ava, on the other hand, looked pale. Fritz thanked Perseus repeatedly before turning around and sprinting out of the place as quickly as he had arrived. Ava ran after him, trying to hold him, but he shoved her hands away.“Didn’t you hear what he said?” Fritz demanded. “He said I should divorce you, or I’ll go bankrupt!”His guards restrained her from getting closer to him, and he entered his car, leaving Ava behind. She tried chasing after the car, but he didn’t stop.Stomping her foot on the floor in frustration, she turned around, her fists tightening as she walked back into the party.Perseus and the ladies were still where she had left them, and seeing them made her blood boil.“Are you happy now that you’ve destroyed my marriage?” Ava demanded, pointing an accusing finger at Sherry. “You told your fiancé to make him divorce me, didn’t you?”Before she could say another word, Krista snapped her fingers, and security immediately entered.“Get this woman out of here right now,” Krista ordered. “And I don’t want to see

Perseus stared at Eris. “We’ll talk about this later. How’s the game coming along?”Eris’ eyes darted to Sherry, who shrugged, holding Perseus' arm as they walked toward Eris.“Smoothly,” Eris replied. “Only one character needs correcting. Her hair should’ve been blue instead of pink. Josh made a mistake.”Perseus raised an eyebrow. “Does that really matter now? We’re just advertising the game. It can be fixed before we leave. Where’s Josh?”“I don’t know,” Eris said. “He hasn’t arrived yet, and he’s not answering his calls.”[You don’t need to find him or look for him. You and Eris can handle it. You have Lint so that you can borrow his knowledge.]Perseus glanced at her. ‘Okay.’“Try calling him,” Sherry suggested to Perseus. “He wouldn’t ignore a call from his boss.”“No need,” Perseus replied. “It’s something I can easily fix.”Eris nodded. “Fine, then. Let’s get going.”They all walked inside the company. Perseus handed Sherry over to a secretary who would oversee her internship

Upon arriving at the airport of the city where the event would take place, Perseus and the team were greeted by cars holding signs with their name, “Risthan.”After entering the cars and being dropped at their destination, the vehicles drove off, leaving them in front of a large mansion. Perseus raised his head to take in the building, as did the rest of the group. Each of them had a bored look on their faces as they stared at the mansion. All they wanted was to play games, livestream, and compete in tournaments. None of them were thrilled about being trapped in a mansion for days with every second of their time being live-streamed.“We’re here,” Eris said. “We have to go in and not spend the rest of the day standing out here.”Ethan grunted. “I didn’t want to come if it wasn’t for the fact that I was threatened.”“You’re speaking like we had a choice,” Perseus replied, brushing past Ethan and walking toward the mansion. “We have to go in and pick a nice spot to stay.”Ethan sighed as

"Each of the sections is more like a house, complete with a living room, kitchen, rooms, and a gaming section for all of you," Liliana continued. "You won’t need to go out to eat, but for the event, you will."She swiped a card in the section, and Perseus noticed the name of their team on it. "This card will be distributed to each of you," she announced. "Make sure not to lose it, or others could get into your rooms.""Okay!" the others agreed in unison.Perseus liked the structure of the house and wondered how they had come up with something so unique. It felt more like an apartment within a mansion."How many rooms are there?" Eris asked."Eight," Liliana replied. "It’s enough for all of you." With that, she pushed the door open and walked in.The room was designed in black and white. Perseus and the others followed her inside."It’s pretty," Ace said. "I’ll go pick a room."With that, Ace, Jeremy, and Ethan hurried up the stairs to claim a room for themselves. A panel appeared in f

He is the second-in-command.][He is quite popular with the ladies because of his personality and handsomeness.][He is calm and is always licking a lollipop.][Always on his phone and rarely smiles.]Perseus moved the panel aside to look at the next one. His gaze fell on the name of the team, noticing that it was the same as Caleb's.[Yep. I arranged it in order of the team names.][Just like that, you will only see the names of the Golnana members and proceed to the next one unless you’re done with them.]Perseus' brows arched. “Show me the people who might rival my team members.”[None, actually,] Iris replied. [With you on the team, no team can rival you all. Except, perhaps, if it comes down t

He was sure he’d be scolded later, but he didn’t mind. Forest leaned in, his eyes cold and calculating. "This isn't just a fight. It's a battle of life and death. I often wonder why your parents gave the power I wanted most to you. I’ve waited for years to see if you’re worthy of the power you possess. But if this is all you have, then you’re not worthy and are just a piece of useless dirt occupying space."Before Perseus could react, Forest flung him across the room like a ragdoll. Perseus crashed to the ground, pain radiating through his body despite Iris’ efforts to heal him.[Perseus, we can’t keep this up much longer!] Iris warned. Or will you admit defeat and accept that you’re not ready for this?"“If you ad

This is wonderful. You’re amazing!”Perseus gritted his teeth. The way the man spoke, it was clear he was looking down on him. “What is your name?”The man was taken aback by the sudden question. “Why are you asking your killer their name?”“I just wanted to know the name of the person I’m going to kill before I kill them,” Perseus replied. “Is it that hard?”The man’s lips curled. “Fine. My name is Forest. Not a common name, I guess.”Forest? Perseus’ eyes darted to Iris. ‘Analyze him with the name.’[I am unable to analyze him.] Iris said. [I have no idea what’s happening, but the panel is blinking more furiously than before.][Your death is really imminent!
