The Only Pillar

Shane slowly arrived in the kitchen as he saw his mom,her back to him.A naughty thought filled his mind as he thought of giving her the scare of her life.He quickly moved towards one of the wardrobes present in the kitchen as he could here his mom's footsteps advancing towards him as he made up his mind to jump out from the wardrobe and give her the scare of her life.

But her footsteps slowly receded as she flung the hot pan towards the holder just above him but her target failed as the pan landed on his head with a 'pang' sound.

Shane almost screamed out in pain as his eyelids twitched continuously.

"Uh" a melodious sound emerged in the kitchen as Diana slowly headed back to the fry pan.She noticed it made an odd sound as she slammed the pan on the opening three times.

"The sound is oddly soothing" she said as she giggled foolishly too herself.

"Let's try it ten more times" a shrill cry like that of a chicken being slaughtered immediately emerged from the wardrobe as Shane quickly stepped out it.

"Oh, it's you Shane, I never knew when you arrived in,And what are you doing in the wardrobe"she said not a single ounce of surprise on her face which held a mocking smile instead.

"I never thought you were a fan of drumming with the pan,mum.You almost Panned me to death"

Shane said as he continued robbing his painful head.

"I tell you this everyday Shane,you greet when you come in and not scare your pitiful mother to death.You did this since when you were young and never..."

"I never succeeded"Shane said as he stared at his mother with a disappointed smile on his face.She was a woman of about 37 years old but one will think she was only about 21 years old,as she was extraordinarily young with a very beautiful face and long blue hair that reached down her waist.She was at a height of 1.8 metres as she stared at him with a smile.It could be said he was a carbon copy of her as he got his blue hair and handsome face from her.A fan of the word "Anyways"

"You know, there's no point in trying if you always fail all the time.I wonder who you got your stubbornness from.Anyways,any new thing happening in school today"she said as she moved to her cooking.

"Well nothing much happened mum,just some students trying to improve their star points, preparing for the final examinations, that's all.And oh yeah,the bullies who wouldn't quit.

His mother rolled her eyes at him as she said

"You always managed to outrun them.Now when I think about it I wonder who you got your fast legs from,I think it's your father.What do you think?.Any way can you do me a favor and rid yourself from that reeking smell, you're killing me with the smell,and don't worry,the food will be in the dining soon."

"See you in a minute mum"Shane said as he went back to the living room,grabbed his bag and headed into his own room.Slowly opening the blue coloured door.It was dark at first but as soon as he entered into the house,it immediately brightened up revealing the inside.

The room was three times bigger than the average bedroom.In the middle was a gigantic bed equipped with Jetbed,his most prized possession.A VR headset on the bed table.Some glass frames mostly containing motivational quotes on the white wall.A beautiful flower vase.A study at the other side of the bedroom and some other minor things.

Vather slowly dropped his bags on the study table as he moved towards the bathroom.

Five minutes later

A blue haired young man dressed in a light white coloured round neck shirt and a blue coloured shorts descended down the steps as he arrived before the dining.

Shane looked at the dining table as he could see the familiar three chairs.Two of them were placed in the North and South direction while the other was place in the West direction.

Plates of food were served in the three directions as even though the West side seat was empty she still served a plate of food right there.Shane never complained of that after he learned of the reason why from his mum.

Vather immediately dived into the food as he ate huge mouthfuls of food into his mouth with speed like a hungry beast.His mother on the contrary was eating slowly as she gently held the fork and knife in her hands like she has already been doing this since ever.

Shane slowly placed down his spoon as he took up the fork and knife like his mother and imitated her causing an incredibly beautiful smile to emerge on her face.Shane was dazed by her beautiful smile even till now as even though he has been living with his mother for some years now already,he still would be dazed by her beautiful every time she smiled towards him in approval.

He slowly removed his gaze from her as he stared at the empty seat at his side.

"What was Dad like when he was my age,was he always naive, playful and an oddly fast runner.

His mother slowly put down her spoon as she stared at the empty seat.

"He was the greatest man in the universe.An oddly fast runner who will never run away from a fight with monster,if there was someone in need of help from it.One who even after injured while saving others life will never frown,as a playful and naive smile will always be present on his face.You remind me so much of him, Shane,never loose his qualities."She said as her smile got even radiant.

Shane's mind drifted to his father.According to his mother,his father died when he was about three years of age.He was a young soldier working for the Guardians of Xavier.A group meant to protect Xavier from the hellish beings.He died in the war.

Vather never held a sad smile anytime he thought of his father as his mother always tell him

"He was a young man who died for a peaceful world.He died so you could better live on this world safe and secure.It's the greatest offense to celebrate his achievements with mourning.Instead celebrate it with a radiant smile and enjoy the world he fought for instead."

The GOX never forgot them as they were given compensation for his death.A compensation they were able to live in such a safe and luxurious place even though his mother works as a part time maid.

Shane's smile widened as he quickly finished the food and packed the plates to the kitchen and quickly cleaned them off,he then headed to the training room.

Arriving before a wooden room,he could already see his mum, sitting cross legged on the wooden ground as she closed her eyes while breathing in and out in a strange manner.Shane slowly came to sit beside her as he sat down crosslegged while closing his eyes.

His mother slowly opened her eyes and stared at Shane before clapping her hands.The room suddenly morphed as the wooden ground slowly disappeared replacing it was now a new environment.Green grasses could be seen on the floor where they were sitting on as the sun could be seen in the distance painting a beautiful picture in the place.The room was equipped with a 3D immersion set containing hundreds of different backgrounds that one won't be able to differentiate what is real and fake.

Shane slowly concentrated on the air with his eyes closed as he sensed the existence of small multi coloured particules present in the air.Something that wasn't there when his eyes were wide opened,this was the so-called dimensional energy.

This is the origin of Shane being called trash and the only Anomaly in Xavier.
