Shane's Anomaly

The invasion of the Human world, Xavier by the hell dimension caused the dormant energy present on Xavier to awaken.This in turn enabled the humans to possess abilities as they became attuned to different aspects of the dimensional energy.

With a monster core,related to ones ability,one can easily gain the ability present in the core and improve the power by absorbing dimensional energy.

Although everyone can sense dimensional energy,they can only sense a minor part of it,and absorb only that minor part.Like a fire elementalist, they'll be able to sense the fiery red particules present in the air and absorb it only,and nothing else.But Shane was very different in that he can sense more than one aspect of dimensional energy in the air.

Fiery red particules of fire,blue vapour particules of water,golden light particules of metal, dirty brown particules of earth and uncountable number.He seem to him, he'll always sense a new one anytime he entered meditation.An incredible and unrivaled talent in the entire world but he was Instead called trash because of that.

Because Shane can't absorb even one aspect of dimensional energy.A talent that is also unrivaled In the entire world.Technically since all the dimensional energy was the dormant energy of Xavier,then all the beings of Xavier should be able to absorb it.Even the rats can absorb the dimensional energy unintentionally as the dimensional energy you're familiar with will naturally come to you.But not Shane.

He always felt like there was some sort of barrier around him when he tried to absorb it into his body as they'll immediately get deflected away from him.

Since the descent of hellish beings and possession of Abilities,a group has emerged in the world to save it from invasion and to also regulate crime related activities of the awakeners(those who had abilities).The group was named Guardians of Xavier(GOX).Tagged with the responsibility of saving the world,they possess most of the strongest awakeners in Xavier.

Joining the group has always been all child's dream and also Shane's dream as that was partly due to his father who was also a soldier of GOX,and also the incredible status one would gain when joining them.Apart from that,there was no job more noble than that of being a Guardian in the world of Xavier.But once he knew he couldn't absorb dimensional energy,he knew it was an empty dream as the GOX would never accept such an anomaly,and a trash too in their midst.Even those with incredibly strong ability find the entrance exam tough enough talk of him with no ability.

Of course Shane was disappointed in himself as he drifted into the memory of that day

6 years ago at Star Bright Academy

It was in the school premises on the school ground,a blue haired boy could be seen holding the hands of an incredibly beautiful woman as the radiant of his smile almost rivaled the sun's on that day.

The children's with their parents were arrange in a uniform line as the instructors stood on the high platform in the front of the assembly.

A female student was the first to be called out:

"Anna Salvatore"

She slowly walked up to high stage as small droplets of sweats could be seen dripping down her face showing her nervousness.

"Please place your hand on the crystal"

The instructor said as a crystal could be seen levitating in front of the young girl as she place her shaky hands on it.

The dark coloured crystal first turned completely blue then red light immediately flared brightly from the crystal as an orange light also flared from it immediately but it stopped there as there was never a third light.A smile emerged on the instructor's face as he said to the people below

"Water element aspect of 20% natural fusion"

The elements don't really matter much as Shane later came to know but the elemental fusion was what matters the most as the higher your natural fusion the higher the grade of your ability when you're finally given a monster core with same ability at the age of 16.

Since the young girl was only ten by now,she still has 6 more years to increase her natural fusion even more meaning she has an incredible starting point from the beginning already compared to a person who has a 5 or 10% natural fusion."

Before she reached the age of 16 she might be able to increase her natural fusion to around 50% making her a genius wanted by all awakeners school or even the Guardians of Xavier themselves.

Her mother couldn't help smiling as she walk proudly up the stage to receive her daughter.

All the children were called up some able to light up the crystal even more while others peaked at the red and never shone the orange light.

Shane was slowly called up to the stage as he quickly ran up to the instructors with a radiant smile on his face.

"Please,place your hand on the crystal"

Shane placed his hands on it, expecting it to flare with different and the brightest light but nothing occured after placing his hands on the crystal.

He stared at the crystal as he placed his hands in it again but the same thing happened.

All the instructors looked wide eyed at the crystal and then the blue haired boy and then the crystal again as such a case of absolutely no dimensional energy was impossible.Even an animal would be able to make the crystal glow a little as it was just an impossibility to not light up the crystal but they were seeing this.

The head instructor immediately ordered for a new dimensional energy testing crystal, thinking maybe it's faulty but the same result occured no matter how many times Shane placed his hands on it it always shone no light.

Another student was called up to come try,but the crystal immediately flared with light, showing the crystal wasn't faulty and that could only mean one absolutely impossible thing.

"Shane Atherston no dimensional energy aspect at all"The instructor announced loudly in the assembly.

A"what" sound emerged from the parents as they couldn't believe such a thing could exist.Shane could see the pitiful glance he was given by the instructors and parents present in the assembly.They didn't even have time to mock him,as they were already speechless by the phenomenon.

Shane stood there as he cried loudly in the assembly.Even though he was young,he wasn't stupid and understood the crystal not lighting up wasn't a good thing.But when everyone looked up at him with disappoinment,pity and disdain.One person slowly came up to the stage and carried him up while taking home.His mom.

On their way out of the school,he could hear the parents warning their children,

"Stay away from him,who knows of it's some kind of communicable disease."

"He's Trash,steer clear from him"

Shane's tears doubled even more,as his small mind couldn't take the pain.

Arriving home,he asked his mum as he was being put to bed.

"I'm I really trash,mum" Shane asked as he sniffled a little.

"No you're not,"His mum replied in an extremely confident tone.

"Why do you say that, I can't even light up the crystal"Shane replied a doubting look on his face.

"You're not trash, because you're my son.A rare and almost impossible fusion." she whispered into his ears making Shane smile widen to his ears,and had a good night sleep that day.

Although he was still called trash by the students the next day and they ignored him as if he was some plague,he later got over it with time."

But unknown to Shane,he never really understood what his mum refered to as an "impossible fusion" and just waved it off as something to make him feel better.
