Chapter 11

“There was only him when I went down. I apologize for not bringing you the person who specifically hired me.” Joel apologized for not bringing James. The latter was gone when he went to drag Moses to Dillon.

“Who was the second person?” Dillon thought he should inquire.

“James Roderick. He's best friends with Moses Lake. They've been best friends since childhood.” Joel responded.

James Roderick. The person who Rachel went off with and who had Dillon beaten to a pulp and almost killed him. As a result of that incident, Dillon missed days of work and later got dismissed from his job as a delivery man.

Dillon was yet to pay him a visit. But he didn't expect they'd meet again this soon.

“What do you think you're doing, you fool!” Moses asked, witnessing how Joel spoke to Dillon gently. He refused to believe his eyes.
