“Eva, what would you like to eat?” Erin asked as soon as Ethan was out of the door. She looked serious now and was willing to look past how Eva was curled up on Ethan’d body.

On the other hand, Eva was curled up on the couch and she looked wary, restless, and impatient. Her eyes were staring at the door longingly and it was like she was expecting Ethan to come back.

Erin walked to her, seeing her expression. She didn't like it one bit but she thought she could use it to bait Eva.

“Do you want him to come back?” Erin asked and immediately Eva answered her this time.

“Yes.” She nodded her head with pleading eyes like a child begging for candy.

“When is he going to come back?” Those words came out in a whiny tone.

“Soon,” Erin replied. She didn't want to give a specific time and with the way Eva was attached to Ethan at the hip, she wasn't going to allow close contact between them.
