Erin watched the woman being wheeled into the ambulance but she couldn't follow through because Ethan was about to get treated.

On the other hand, Ethan frowned wondering where exactly the woman had appeared from. Before he swerved the car, he was sure he had seen her running, headlessly and panicking. She came from the other side of the road which was covered in thick bushes.

He turned to tell his findings to Erin. At the same time, he felt the paramedic behind him opening his shirt and feeling his back.

“You–”

“Uhm, miss. He has no injuries.” The paramedic cut him off and he let out a huff.

How was he going to explain that he had no injury after being bedazzled by that amount of glass shards?

“Are you mistaken?” Erin stepped closer, peeking at his back. It was true!

Ethan had no visible cuts or wounds and his body was just drenched in blood.
