The System's Help

"It's Durk's opening! Let's go!" The students shouted in delight as they flocked into the school grounds toward where Durk's opening was stationed.

He had declared that he would set up his own logistics company as well and he did so. He had cars and buses parked in a strategic location inside the school. He had pulled strings, just to be able to stay right inside the school.

"Ahh!! Can you see him over there? He looks so handsome!" One of the female students screamed in delight as they watched Durk stand on the grand stage alongside Sofia who followed him about.

The students were going crazy over him and at the same time, speculating what relationship he had with Sofia now.

"Is that not the school's church rat's ex-girlfriend? Is she with Durk now?" One of the students asked as they started to wave placards all about.

"Of course! She is! She wouldn't want to support her wretched ex-boyfriend after all." Another student replied, with a snort. Their envious eyes were on Sofia who had managed to own one of the richest guys in school. The couple looked so beautiful on stage as they were about to declare their company open.

Suddenly, a voice spoke up, "Did you all see how scanty Robin's opening is? There is no one there to support him." A student with a hood over his head spoke up in mockery of Robin.

"Of course. It's good we all boycott that bad fellow! How dare he try to deceive us by opening a company when he has no money? What does he want to do with us? Sell us to make money? We should thank Durk for saving us!" One student took it up, the angry way.

"That's right! We should be careful around him!" Another student said, with a look of realization on his face. Right now, everyone looked at Durk as their savior.

Throughout the school's platform, Durk was being praised and Robin was being bashed, mercilessly. No one wanted to associate with a poor man after all.

The student with the hood, who had spoken up about Robin suddenly took a step back. He had a smirk on his face as he walked away from the crowd. His legs hastened as he dashed out of the school's premises, toward an almost secluded area outside the school.

He had a victorious smirk on his face as he had done what he was asked to do. However, as he approached a place filled with beautiful lights and decorated cars and buses, he halted and his smile disappeared.

"Did you do what I asked?" Robin stood before one of the buses and asked the student with the hood, with his arms folded.

"Don't you think we look so pathetic? Durk obviously stole our idea!" The student who turned out to be Mac whined, in an annoyed tone, however, Robin still had a calm expression on his face.

"Did you do it?" He asked again even when things were obviously not going his way. A few students walked past the area and laughed so loudly at him but he did not care.

"Yes!" Mac replied, dejectedly. He had been ordered to start up a demeaning conversation about Robin and he wondered why Robin would want to tarnish his image like that.

"Then we wait!" Robin replied, and a mysterious smile appeared on his phone as he looked down at his phone. Soon, he started to count to ten, and at the tenth count, Mac's phone started to buzz as well as Robin's.

"What's going on?" Mac said out loud as he took out his phone. He had been so irritated with his phone buzzing for days now, knowing it would only be bad news about Robin.

But as he opened his phone to check what was going on, his eyes widened seeing the video playing on his phone.

"W... what is this?" He asked, shakily as he looked from his phone to Robin who had a laid-back expression.

Mac still couldn't believe what was going on, he had to replay the video again.

Durk's voice rang out, from the phone, "Tomorrow is the opening." He said at first and the vile expression on his phone was captured so well. He was in an abandoned garage alongside three other hefty men and they looked like hitmen.

He then continued to say, "I wouldn't want anything to get in my way, so, take out that wretched Robin." He ordered and the men affirmed his words, in unison and Mac gasped in shock for the nth time that day.

"Boss, would you want to run the company for a long time? The students are obviously depending on you now." One of the hefty men asked and Durk snorted, mockingly.

"Who would want to cater to their wretchedness? After getting Robin out of the way, they should find their way out! I'll take their money and leave them stranded!" Durk's wicked voice rang out and immediately, the video ended.

Now, the video was making waves around the school's forum. Everyone saw Durk for who he was and they felt like they had been played.

"He is so wicked! He is a murderer! He wants to take poor Robin out of the way and leave us all stranded!" A student commented right on the post holding the video.

"We didn't see for who he was. I feel played!" Another student dropped a comment.

"Boycott Durk and his useless girlfriend, Sofia!" A comment dropped.

"Boycott them!"

"I feel sorry for Robin. He is being accused of what he did not do and we are here praising the bad one!" The comments continued to pour in and everyone started to drop words of apology for Robin. They regretted the way they treated him and bashed him.

The higher Durk rose up in just a few days, he fell back down before the eyes of students lowered and deeper.

Mac who was still scrolling through his phone, in disbelief turned to look at Robin who was nonchalant about the whole thing.

"Did you do this?" He asked as he had his suspicions.

"I don't know what you are talking about, Mac." Robin replied as he turned away with a victorious look.

"Tell what you did, Robin. Don't keep me in the dark!" Mac inquired, desperately. However, Robin had nothing to say to him.

"Prepare! We are about to receive an influx of students!" Robin replied, completely ignoring Mac's question.

Everything he had achieved was due to the system and he couldn't disclose that to Mac. He knew Durk would try to sabotage him, and immediately Durk decided to open his company.

[Congratulations, Robin Claire! You have successfully won your first battle! You have received 10 bonus points!]

Robin heard the system's voice in his head and he smiled. It was his system that helped him track down Durk's location and he was able to find out what the rich guy was up to. Added to that, he was able to avoid the hit men who were sent to him and he had his own pound of flesh!

It was a beautiful feeling for Robin!

"I'll use those points well!" Durk said out loud. Immediately, after he finished his words, he heard a loud noise as students started to rush toward the area where his opening was going to happen.

"Fuck! Look, we have a lot of audience!" Mac burst out in happiness as the students started to flood toward them.

"Robin! Robin!" They chanted and slowly Robin had a proud smile on his face. He liked how things had turned around in his favor and he wondered how Durk would be burning in anger right now.

"We are sorry! Robin!" The students chanted as threw away Durk's placard and bashed it, continuously.

Thankfully, Robin had prepared for this moment as Mac started to share different placards of himself with the students and they held the placards up.

The chants and noise continued for a while until Robin raised his hand and they all went quiet.

"Welcome to the official opening of Robin Claire Logistics Company!" He declared and everyone cheered to the dismay of Robin's haters.
