Chapter 3: New companion on the way

As he was wondering to himself and calling himself pity, something seemed to be crumbling under his nose.

While he was thinking about how to convince that voice to take him back to his original world, something was being churned up in that illusionary dungeon.

As he was still thinking about how to deal with the whole situation, he saw something unexpected in the sky, something was cracking.

The sky felt like it was falling down, a thin shield was melting in the hot weather while its melting liquid and solid chunks were falling on the flat surface from that great height.

Jiro was confused about what was going on right now, and couldn't gather anything in his mind.

"Err! What's going on? Why is the sky melting? Is this some kind of dream?" He thought aloud.

"Sorry to interrupt you but it's not a dream. It's not that the sky is falling or melting. It's a sign that we do not have much time and that this world is about to disappear."

Someone interrupted him.

Jiro turned around and saw a human being. Yeah, it was a human being with the same flesh and bones as a real human.

Jiro was shocked as he started examining the man from head to toe as there were many doubts in his mind. "Who are you?" Jiro asked.

"I am Piano! The half demon and half human from Ansio Tribe." Piano introduced himself.

It was the first time for Piano to see a malnourished goblin riding this dungeon without any weapon on him.

"Hello! I am Ro...I mean Jiro. I am a low-born goblin, it's nice to meet you." Roug...Jiro introduced himself to the guy.

Recalling all his memories, it was the first time Jiro was meeting this guy named Piano. Since it was the first meeting, Roug was glad that he was not alone in this world. Right now, there's another person by his side.

"I can't believe those crude guys sent such a small child to this dangerous place. Do they not know how dangerous it is to enter this dungeon?" As much as Piano was horrified to see a small and malnourished Globin kid in such a place, he was angry with the fact that there were such cruel people in the world who do not care about their lives.

Jiro did hear his words, and he was laughing in his heart right now.

Just because he looked like a ten-year-old kid, does not mean he was a kid.

Compared to other Goblins in his village, he has always been a slow learner. The things that others have no difficulty doing and learning so easily, Jiro needs more than ten times to complete that work.

Due to this version of him, he was always called trash and a loser.

"Kiddo! How did you end up here?" Finally Piano asked that question.

"I...was sleeping soundly and when I woke up, I was here. For the last three days, I have been trying to survive in this place and find my way out. But all my tries are to no avail, I can't find the exit...I am lost here." Roug said what Jiro had gone through before he took over his body.

Jiro was wandering inside this dungeon for the last three days and only he knows how he survived till now.

But...where is Jiro now? Where's his soul? Did he die when Roug's soul took over his body? what happened to his soul?

There were so many questions in his mind and no answer was there to any question.

For now...the only thing he needs to worry about is how to get out of this place safe and sound.

After Piano heard his story, he was really getting rage at those people who thought of dumping him into this place.

"Kiddo! Don't worry! Since you have found me, I will carry you out of this place. Even though it's an illusionary array, we have to find a solution." Piano said as he extended his hand and put it on Jiro's head which was full of hair.

For the first time in his life of twenty-seven years, he felt the warmth and love of someone towards him. Even though this was a very simple gesture, it made him recall how his mother was always lovable towards him and despised the fact that others regarded him and scorned him.

In his original world, he was a man with so much meat and fat on the body. People would always tell him to go and do the gym, lose his weight and eat less.

They thought Roug was a lazy person who only knew how to eat and not do anything else.

But...

Roug was never a lazy person, he tried many times to lose his weight and become a better person. However, he had a body condition.

He was not allowed to do heavy exercise and work extra hard.

Or else, his life would be at risk.

People never understood his struggle, they never got to realise how painful it was for him, they only saw his outer side and failed to see his inner heart.

"Hey! Kiddo! Are you okay? Do you look upset? are you missing your family?" Piano asked when he sensed the sadness in Jiro's behavior when he was patting Jiro's head.

"I am fine..."

Well!

The piano misunderstood Jiro's age and was thinking that he is a kid. And Jiro on the other hand decided to not reveal his real age either...it was a real pain in the ass to explain to others, he let things show how they were going at the moment without further explanation.

He decided to play along. After all, he has no strength anyway, as well gets some soft rice when he can.

"Big brother! How are we going to escape from this place? I am scared." Said Jiro in his not-so-manly and extra sweet voice...

Since he was malnourished, along with his body, even his voice was yet to mature or grow with age...

"You called me big brother? It's good. I am happy that you are not scared of me, I can't believe a monster child can be this cute."

Just after hearing his sweet-like candy voice, Piano was already flat on him. This made his heart flutter with fluff and softness.

Piano doesn't care about Jiro's blood or his origin or what creature he was. The fact that Jiro was a kid was everything to him.

He entered this illusionary dungeon two days ago. His motive behind entering this dangerous place was very different compared to Jiro's.

He was not forced to enter, he entered willingly. Two days ago, when he was tracking down a mysterious messenger from a secret organization, that person entered this dungeon.

To Piano, tracking down that messenger was really important as that person carries a secret later which can destroy his land if the information is leaked to his enemy.

It's important to catch that person.

But now it's been two days, and no clue about that person can be found.

Piano's mind was lingering around as he was still searching for that messenger when he suddenly heard some strange noises. As he tracked down the source of that sound, his eyes landed on Jiro.

"Kiddo! Seems like you haven't eaten anything for the last three days. Come here! You should eat something, only then you will have some strength to walk ahead."

Piano locked his hands around Jiro's waist and then pulled him out from that place.

While he was doing all that to Jiro, Jiro spotted one thing.

Just when he woke some time ago, the whole area had a forest-like background which was full of red and yellow leaf trees, and the ground was full of sticky and water mud as if it had just recently rained in this place.

There was something very fishy right now.

Jiro could clearly see how the dead body was floating on the muddy water and how gruesome it was around him.

By now, the body had started giving off a rotten smell.

But looking at Piano, it seems as if he doesn't care about his surroundings and only cares about Jiro. It was really strange.

"Big brother! I don't know how to read the background and I am illiterate, can you elaborate on what you are seeing right now in your background?" Jiro urged as there was something he really wanted to sort out.

[Don't ask him, you will be really disappointed]

That voice...it rang again in his head.

But right now, He didn't care about that voice as there was a more important thing to do than this.

Piano was a little taken aback. But seeing his puppy eyes which were begging him to explain everything to him, he gave in front of that charm.

"We are standing in a deep forest right now. In front of me, there's a huge mountain that is loaded with white snow and cold winds are going back and forth. The place you are standing right now is, there's a sneak nest..."

"Why are our views so different, it's clearly a trap."

They were at a huge risk right now. It wasn't just an Illusionary dungeon in the name only.

What is brewing inside?
