Chapter 6: Make a Deal

The sound of shattering glass echoed through the office, making everyone turn their heads. Mr Turner, the pot-bellied boss, was furious. He had just received the news that his team had failed to secure a significant contract. He threw his coffee mug at the window, not caring about the mess or the cost.

"Rachel, how can you get away with this!" he shouted at his secretary, who was standing nearby. "What are you looking at, you useless cunt!"

The woman was stunned and immediately left the room. It happened because Rachel left the company after she had worked hard for Mr Turner for two years. A glimpse of memory appeared before his eyes.

"Mr Turner, I'm a woman of honour," Rachel tried to reason with him. "It's not fair to force me to do something I don't desire."

"Shut up! How dare you raise your voice like that!" Mr Turner yelled. "You're lucky I don't sue you for negligence!"

"Negligence? I tried to forget this issue and move right past it. But I guess I'll see you in court."

Rachel felt tears welling up in her eyes. She grabbed her purse and ran out of the office, ignoring the pitying looks from her co-workers.

Back in the present, where Asher is still in hospital, he was recovering from an accident. But his condition is slowly becoming better.

"System, how's the progress of my mission?" Asher asked his secret companion, an artificial intelligence that gave him tasks and rewards.

[You need to recruit Rachel as your personal assistant, and then you can complete the mission.]

"But how do I talk to Rachel, and where is she?" Asher wondered. He had met Rachel earlier, but the girl already left Asher's room.

[You can use the system's locator function to track her down.]

"Fine, let's do that," Asher agreed. He activated the function and saw a map on his phone screen. It showed him where Rachel was.

Asher was surprised to see that Rachel was still outside. She was on a terrace, and Asher decided to go and see her.

Asher spotted Rachel easily; she was still wearing her office clothes. She looked sad and lonely.

"Hey, Rachel," Asher greeted her.

Rachel looked up and saw Asher. She was surprised to see Asher out of his room.

"Asher?" Rachel said in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to talk to you," Asher said sincerely. "I heard what happened at your office. I'm sorry about that."

Rachel felt touched by his concern. She didn't expect him to care about her.

"How did you know?" she asked curiously.

"I have my ways," he said vaguely. He didn't want to reveal his system to her.

"Well, you don't have to worry about me. I'll be fine," she said politely. "Anyway, what's up?"

"Do you want to be my assistant?" Asher asked boldly.

Rachel blinked in shock. She didn't expect him to ask her that.

"Your assistant?" Rachel repeated.

"Yes," Asher nodded. "I'm starting my own company, and I need someone like you to help me."

"What kind of company?" she asked cautiously.

"A tech company," he said proudly. "I have a revolutionary idea that will change the world."

"What is it?" she asked curiously.

"I can't tell you right now," he said mysteriously. "But trust me, it's amazing."

Rachel felt intrigued by his offer. She had always wanted to work in a different industry, and she loved the challenge of leading a company.

Rachel looked at Asher; he seemed sincere and passionate about his project.

Rachel also felt a connection with him; he was handsome and charming, and he had shown interest in her. Rachel wondered if this was fate; maybe this was the opportunity she had been waiting for. Rachel decided to take a chance.

"All right," she said with a smile. "I'll be your assistant."

"Here! Open me a 100k dollar company." Asher handled his bank card; Rachel was so dizzy that she didn't expect that Asher would quickly issue a large amount of money.

"Don't worry; it's only the initial capital after establishing the company. I will inject more funds to acquire various other companies."

"Acquire," surprised again and again, Rachel did not expect that the easy man in front of her was more ambitious than she was.

"All right, I'll try my best," Rachel said excitedly.

[RING!]

[Congratulations on completing the task of recruiting Rachel as a personal assistant.]

[You got 1 Lottery Ticket, Ancient Mage Talent, Special Martial Arts Talent, Super Driving Talent, Super advanced Mechanical talent]

[You also receive 100 points, gain one charm point, and also money.]

If no one were there, Asher would have jumped for joy; this was just a reliable system before he could check the sound of Rachel waking him up.

"What's the name of our company, boss?"

"Ah, yes, I think Sun Frey is a good name because the company will fly to the heights and pierce the sky towards the sun."

"Good name, then I'll work for it. Just give me your number."

The girl then gave Asher her mobile phone number and walked away. After Rachel's departure, Asher eagerly checked the system panel as he returned to his room.

[Do you want to use a special talent card? Yes/No]

"Yes."

[Name: Asher Parker.] [Level: 1 [8/200]] [Charms Point: 5]

[Talent: Super Mechanic, Super Driving, Ancient Martial Arts, Ancient Mage].

[Inventory and Shop is now Accessible] [Lottery: 1 time] [Balance: $100.400]

[Task: Create a company from system funds]

After using the exceptional talent, Asher has a super glow-up transform; the change was insane. His body became buff, and his height rose significantly from 5'10 to 6 feet.

"Damn, is this my new body? All the fighting and killing techniques have been embedded in my mind; the instincts and the five senses have become stronger, and even my injuries disappeared by themselves."

"Hahaha, If I have to save another woman again, I don't have to use despicable tricks. I will showcase my own punch."

After that, the ability to drive has been stored in Asher's mind as if he has been driving for years; not only cars but even planes and all types of vehicles have been mastered.

"As the boss, if I can't drive a Ferrari and a Lamborghini with one hand, it will be a laughing joke." Several driving licences of different types of vehicles are stored in the system's warehouse.

Asher spent four years of schooling specialising in engineering and five years of field experience and only achieved basic mechanics. After accessing the talent, all the knowledge was stored in his mind.

"If my old professors with who spend their time studying find out about this, they will surely commit suicide."

The ancient mage is known to be extinct today. There are only a few real mages, and the rest are fake. Asher's hometown, Newcastle, has a reputation as the city of witchcraft.

Ancient mages could cure various diseases with supernatural means. Still, of course, all of this requires special energy, and nowadays, it is quite a step for martial artists to be able to use unique energy. Because Asher conquered a super martial artist, he can naturally use internal energy.

For the clothes, Asher decided to use his lottery since his body no longer uses his own clothes. The system provided some pairs of clothes for him.

After that, Asher felt bored and decided to test his new capabilities. Asher tried to cure one patient in the VIP room.
