Once the five students heard their names being called, each of them began to make their way towards the sergeant, who was waiting for them in front of the crowd.

Aside from Tahir and Kris, there was another boy in their group. Kelvin looked to be the most nervous among anyone there.

He was physically shaking and avoiding not yo be in the front nor the back,A small frame with scruffy Gray colored hair, he was not much for physical attraction, more like someone who had gone through alot of bullying because he was weak. walking up to him was Kris, putting his hands around Kelvin shoulders, he was assuring the guy not to be afraid of anything as here was safe.

The other two members were both girls. Esha had long black hair and a short figure, she also had a small body frame, a true epitome of beauty, while Zahra, on the other hand, was the type of girl whose beauty turned necks. She had a tall statue and a body frame not too big and not too small, and she had long silky hair with a Pure white Color. The only problem was her facial expressions. Even while walking through the gathering of people, not once did her expression change. It stayed happy and made her appear as someone without problems.

But to Tahir she just looked like someone trying to cover her sadness and pain with a big fat smile.

As Tahir was walking to the front, he noticed that he couldn't recognize any of the students there and it seemed like the others were not familiar with anybody either. Till his gaze met zahra who in turn waved and winked. Tahir found this weird since he really didn't have any friends back when he was in his school. But managed to wave back.

Kris walked around and greeted each one of the people in his group with a handshake and a confident smile. Considering Kris was very polite, most of them accepted his greetings.

At last, Tahir and the others were called forward and were told to stand inside a square drawn with white lines on the ground. The space inside of it was just big enough to fit the five of them at once.

One would notice that outside of the square, there was a hooded man who was standing there.

"Send them away!" Bulky ordered.

As soon as Bulky gave the command, the hooded man Snapped his hands, and the ground and the square started to light up, shining in a bright green color.

"What a rare ability."Shawn muttered out in Tahir's head. Tahir was already used to the people living in his head so he completely ignored the voice.

The very next second, they found themselves in an indoor area, this time an empty room. a clear sign that they were transported into a training room.

Two people stood before the group. A woman dressed in black and next to her another man

whose face was emotionless. Tahir could not make out the badge on the arm of either of their uniforms, making it impossible to tell what rank they possessed. But his instincts told him that they were high ranked officials.

The woman held a note-like tablet in one of her hands, busy Scrolling and reading through it and she was mumbling. Once she had finished,

She shifted her gaze and attention to the group of five and began to speak.

"Hello, I am Elsa and I will be the one in charge of your test today. Once the test has been completed, I will be updating your information and your power level will then be reflected on your wristwatches."

Now let's see who we have today. It seems we have some pretty cool abilities today, this should be over fast.

Let's start with Kevin port, Kevin port please step forward".

Kevin stepped forward, with fear written all over his face.

Kevin, I want to know what type of ability you possess.

I don't have an ability, he said while looking down.

"What is your ability"? Elsa asked.

Tahir found this question stupid and somewhat annoying.

It was obvious his file from his old school is currently in her hands, so why ask him when she could see it.

Taking a deep breath, Tahir answered,"I currently don't not have any ability, and I'm very sure my previous school should have given you that information". Tahir replied with a cold look.

Elsa ignored his last sentence and signaled the hooded man to give her an ability book, which she in turn handed over to him.

Tahir collects the book and a screen pops up in front of him.

"Sorry but I'm not interested in the ability book, as I'm not ready to choose ability in a rush" Tahir said while returning the book.

"And what is that supposed to mean, What do you imply by choosing your ability in a rush "?. Elsa asked Tahir while staring at Tahir with her now cold emotionless eyes.

.Tahir realizing he might have offended the sergeant Bowed in respect and Said. "I'm sorry if I offended you, but I just meant I'm not interested in taking the ability book for now. Thank you".

"Okay. Tahir you have two options, you take the test and get to know your power level or you walk away and come back to take your test when ready. Elsa said while maintaining eye contact with Tahir.

This kid, there is something off about him, first no surname now he's rejecting a free ability book. I'll report back he must be put under watch. In her four years working as an instructor, this was the first time

someone with no ability had rejected the book. Elsa thought to herself.

"I think I'll take the test, I don't need to have any ability to take the test right?". Tahir asked.

"Sure. We will start the test immediately."

"Esha, zahra and Kris. No need for an ability book, as y'all have an ability". Elsa said.

"Please you Four should kindly step into the test room." The hooded man said.

There was some fire. This was all done during the previous testing of some groups.

The rules are as follows, you all have been assigned a target, you are to save the target from been hit by a laser shooting machine up there, by all means necessary. You should also be informed that using your ability frequently will allow the machine shooting Laser to adapt and counter you with the same attacks, but it will be stronger. That is to say If you are a level 1 ability user, it will adapt and use your ability and it will be on the same level as a level 2 ability user. I'll advise you guys not to use ability unless you have no choice. If you are ready please Step into the circled area and the test will begin. Good luck". Elsa said to the group.

Kris was the first to run inside.

"Welcome kris Shane, participant 2334."

The machine voiced out.

"Sweet, let me show the girls what I got" Kris said to himself.

Immediately, he ran trying to grab his target. That was when the machine faced him and started shooting Laser beams at him, Kris was dodging and running.

"Shit, I'll get tired soon. I gotta use my ability now."Kris thought to himself.

With that he turned to the Machine and stomped his feet on the ground creating a wall of fire to counter the attack, seeing that it won't work resulting in him creating an ice barrier to everyone's surprise. Just then a fireball crashed right into the barrier.

"Now I understand what she meant by the machine adapted to abilities", Tahir said to himself.

Kris had to move out of the way in time, to avoid getting hit.

"Welcome Zahra Ice, participant 2434"

" This should be easy and fast", Zahra said while creating ice daggers and attacking the machine right away.

Throwing the daggers at the machine it crashed right into it. Just then the machine reciprocates the same skills. Zahra was busy running ahead to grab her target without noticing the machine hurled an ice spear at her.

Tahir seeing this stepped in pulling Zahra out of the way.

"Welcome Esha Vile, Participant 2534"

Esha activated her own skill immediately, The ability of untouch, an ability that blocks everything. The stronger the ability depends on the user Mc and power level. The ability formed as an invincible wall blocking the machine attacks. Walking to her target she heard something approaching her. Turning around she saw an ice spear heading with speed towards her. The ice was literally pushing the wall back.

"What level is this girl for her ice to be able to get this strong" Esha imagined.

The ice spear was almost going through, and Esha could feel her defense breaking.

Just then Kris created like an ice slab slamming it right into the spear shattering it on impact. His head was down and he muttered, "enough playing around"

It was clear Kris was fooling around all this while, as he created a large ice spear and pointed it towards his machine. The spear ran straight into it, as it destroyed the machine.

Esha saw the spear was moving fast before the machine could adapt to her power level. Grabbing her target, the machine beeps.

"*Beep* Esha Vile, participant 2534 test completed. Power level four ".

Kris Shane participant 2334 test completed. Power level 7."

Zahra created something similar to boomerangs as she hurled them at the machine which shattered it on impact.

"Zahra Ice, participant 2434 test completed. Power level 6."

Just then Tahir muttered to Zahra"we are even now"

Standing up to take his test.

"Welcome Tahir errr.. participant surname not registered.

Participant 2634"

Tahir wasting no time set to work, due to his new set of skills Tahir was able to see clearly as he ran very fast across the room, dodging and avoiding the lasers, the machine was clearly adapting to his speed.

"I know this boy is different, does he have a speed ability that his school does not know or something? Because he was fast enough to save the girl before the impact with the spear" Elsa asked no one in particular.

Tahir was holding back his speed not to raise worries.

Sliding down, Tahir avoided the laser from nearly going through his skull,

"Phew that was close" Tahir said while grabbing his Target.

Beep Tahir, participant 2634 test completed. Power level 2.

Kris went up to him, fist bumping him. "You tried man"

"Thanks," Tahir answered with a forced smile.

"Kris Shane and Tahir, you both weren't supposed to interrupt the test". Elsa said.

"I'm sorry sergeant, I don't actually think there was a rule against that.

We are sorry If we offended you". Tahir said with a bow with Kris followed afterwards.

"With the test completed, you all have been awarded your power levels, you should know the power level was rated by the machine, so if at all you held back during the test, feel free to retake the test and the power level would be reset.

Please return and the sergeant should brief you all. Welcome to the military academy".

Tahir clenched his fist. He knew that the days ahead of him as a level 2 user wouldn't be easy, But he was glad he wasn't a level one user.

Hopefully he will grow stronger and change his power level with time.
