"What just happened?" Frank mumbled as he slowly got up.
What he just experienced now was something he couldn't bring himself to comprehend, just a few minutes ago he couldn't get up from the floor because of his broken ribs but right now he felt like nothing happened at all.
'What is this?' He thought.
His moment of amazement was soon interrupted by a large bear-like beast that quickly pushed him to the floor.
The bear was about to step on him when he quickly rolled out of the way.
"I haven't seen this type of beast before, even among the horde."

More amazements were coming to Frank but he didn't have time to think about that because he still had trouble to deal with.
"Hercules bear?" Frank said as he looked at the bear from head to toe to see that it was really larger and taller than the normal bear.
The bear growled at him as it began advancing for the attack again as the beast drew closer the teenager's eye darted towards the only thing he knew that could save him, his assault rifle, but there was one problem.
The assault rifle was behind the bear and he needed to go around the bear to get it, he saw an opening in between the bear's legs and made to slide through there unaware that the bear was smarter than he thought.
The bear caught him by his hand before he could even go through and immediately swung him towards his assault rifle.

That fall was a very painful one and his system had done well in healing him on time but he felt his heart weaken as his heart energy dropped to zero.
"You son of a bitch!" Frank screamed as he picked up his rifle and began to shoot violently at the beast, the bullets were affecting the beast but it was still forcing itself to advance forward but Frank didn't back down as he continued shooting until the beast dropped dead on the floor.

Frank could finally think clearly now that the beast was dead but he was soon reminded of the fight he had gotten separated from by a scream of pain.
He quickly turned to see Roger flying through the air and landing on the floor and approaching him now was exactly the same beast he had just killed now.
None of the other beasts was still standing, only the bear beast which was about to go end Lieutenant Roger's life, he had fallen unconscious after that fall.
Frank quickly aimed his gun at the bear but when he pulled the trigger nothing happened.
"Oh crap, I'm out of ammo." He said as he threw the rifle on the floor.
'I need to do something or the Lieutenant is going to die. But how do I get over there fast enough to stop that thing?"
The distance between where he was standing and there wasn't that far but he knew that before he would get there the beast would have already destroyed the Lieutenant.

He knew very well that dexterity meant speed, stamina, agility, and reflexes.
'Let's just hope this works.' Frank said as he immediately zoomed off towards the beast.
He couldn't believe the speed at which he was running now, sure some athletes could reach this speed but he had never been able to reach it before.
With the momentum from his speed Frank delivered a punch to the bear's stomach immediately he got close to it pushing it a few steps back.
The beast felt enraged and was now charging back at him, faster this time. Frank needed to think of something quick, he couldn't fight the beast head-on with the amount of strength he had, and running away meant that the Lieutenant would still get pummeled.
While he was in his dilemma he looked at the Lieutenant and that was when his eyes caught sight of the Ruger Sr4c he had fitted by his side.
'That's the gun he used to kill that bird.' Frank thought, recalling the accuracy behind that shot.
Without wasting time he knelt down beside the Lieutenant and tried to take the gun, but it was proving difficult for him to pull out.
The beast was getting closer and that alone was enough to put an enormous amount of pressure on Frank, the beast had gotten closer now and was about to hit the teenager away when he finally pulled out the pistol and without further ado aimed for the bear's head and pulled the trigger.
Kapoor!!
The gun made a very loud sound but that wasn't what Frank was marveled about, what caused him to have his mouth wide open now was because of the way the bullet had blown the bear's head into pieces, some of the head matter had even splattered on him. What a large assault rifle couldn't do a small pistol just did now, but that was the reason the Ruger Sr4c was arguably the best pistol.

Frank felt his body return to normal as he received that message, he still couldn't explain the whole messages and everything that had happened so far but first, he needed to get out of this environment before talking about that.
He looked around to see that everywhere was in ruin with bloody messes everywhere, beasts lying all over the floor.
'Did he kill all these beasts himself?' Frank thought.
It had to be him since all the kids were lying dead on the floor, even Don and the other soldier had been torn to shreds to the extent that Frank couldn't find their complete bodies.
All the kids had their bodies intact except for a few missing limbs and had all died on the same spot, but when Luis countered them he could only count ten of them there.
"That's strange, did one of them escape or get separated by a beast."
That couldn't be true because when he looked around he couldn't find any clothing linking to any kid there.
Frank looked at all their faces to see if he could see the boy he had been with this morning and that was when he discovered who was missing.
"Arnold." He gasped.
