Chapter 16: God's Well

The muddy arm reached for Kent, but as soon as Ann Reed's hairy blade reached it, it suddenly changed direction. The monster's arm aimed straight at Ann's head.

Kent screamed, but the sound in his throat was just a small groan: “Ann… Reed… run… run…”

The mud monster enveloped Ann Reed. Crying from wild mouths filled the forest. The continuous high-pitched sound waves made Kent a victim of physical and psychological torture.
