Chapter 18: Hannah's Identity

Kent's face was full of surprise when in front of him were David and Andrew - two police officers in charge of Ann Reed's case. Before Kent could say a word, David pulled out his gun and pointed it at Hannah.

Immediately, she raised her hands overhead. Kent immediately motioned to stop David. He asked David and Andrew why they were acting like this toward Hannah.

Andrew looked at Kent and said quickly, "She's a suspect in the case involving Steve's death."

"What? What does Hannah have to do with Steve?" Kent suddenly looked at Hannah and met her meaningful gaze.

David immediately followed Kent's words and did not forget to signal Kent to stand behind him. David said: "Her name is Hannah… and she's been Steve's girlfriend for more than five years."

David's words stunned Kent. Steve has never hidden anything from Kent until now. But for five years, Kent never knew that his best friend had a lover.
