CHAPTER 17 (WHO'S THE MASKED MAN)

“Derek did they hurt you? What happened? Why are you here?”

Maya's voice echoed through out the first few minutes he was in the room. He sat still, the picture of Maya and Peter became more blurry as the seconds went by,he leaned back and fell backwards. The watchman immediately grabbed him up and poured some water on his head, resuscitating him.

“Haeeeww!” He exhaled deeply as he came back to life. He kept mumbling some words rapidly until the watchman became confused. He strapped Derek to the chair to avoid a second occurrence then called for help. He moved his neck to his right weakly and let his tongue out. Peter was frightened to his bones while Maya kept tapping his checks rapidly shouting “don't die! Please wake up!”

The Chief Police Officer came to the scene and saw Derek's situation. He started vibrating like an epileptic patient and immediately the Chief Police knew that his shenanigans we're just to deceive him.

“Leave him alone! How long have you been with him?” He a
