CHAPTER 51 (THE UNIVERSE WORKS FOR ME)

As soon as she left, she picked her phone and called her husband, she was eager to hear from him.

He looked at him and he permitted him to pick the call with a nod with head. He cleared his throat and pretended to be very happy, he didn't want her to suspect anything. He picked the call.

“Hello dear, how are you?”

“I'm fine and you?” He answered in a deep voice.

“It's past the time of your arrival and you didn't call me. Or don't you want me picking you up at the airport again?”

“I was about to call, I cancelled last minute.”

“Why?” Mrs. Jan asked rather in an angry tone.

“I have an emergency meeting with a client of mine.” He lied.

“This meeting couldn't wait? You've been away for months.”

“He contacted me last minute and said it's about a huge proposal. I couldn't resist it but I'll be back tomorrow.”

“You better be. We had a visitor today. Guess who?”

“My sister, Gladys?”
