CHAPTER 63 (CLOSER AND CLOSER TO MISFORTUNE)

He made an attempt to stand but his legs were wobbling. He held the window frame and stood firmly then walked to and fro the portion of the room that had nobody in it.

“See? I'm good to go.” He smiled then turned to look at all of them, only Isabella smiled back. “Where's my phone?” He demanded after looking around.

“I don't think it was brought here. It should still be in the office.”

“Then why are we still here? Let's head to the office, it's past 12pm.”

“If we reach on time, you'll make it in time for the meeting.” Isabella replied.

Maya and Margret refused to engage in the conversation, still upset about his decision which was inimical to his health but he was adamant. Isabella ignored them as well and helped her father with little things he couldn't do.

“Are you coming or you're still angry?” Mr. Windsor asked, about to leave.

“Maya, let's go.” Margret encouraged her by getting up.

Maya reluctantly stood up
