Chapter 13

The receptionists watched him go, their mouths agape, their earlier smirks and snickers replaced with shock and embarrassment. The sound of Davin's whistling faded into the distance, leaving behind a silence that was both awkward and telling.

"We need to apologize," one of the receptionists whispered urgently, "what if he's a friend of the boss? We could lose our jobs!"

Her colleague nodded in agreement, and they quickly chose someone to accompany her to Davin's room. They stood at the door, knocking nervously, and Davin answered, his chest glistening with water droplets. One of the receptionists couldn't help but lick her lips, her eyes fixed on his chiseled physique.

"He's so hot," she whispered, her voice barely audible. Her colleague nudged her, reminding her of their mission.

"We're here to apologize, compose yourself," she whispered, her voice firm.

Davin's deep chuckle sent a shiver down their spines. "Why are you here?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
