THE WINDSOR'S MANSION
Derek arrived at his soon to be in-laws house, he was welcomed warmly, Victoria was the first to walk up to him.
"Welcome Derek, I'm so glad you decided to visit, however I would like to discuss something private with you if you don't mind?" Victoria requested giving him a signal.
"Of course I miss Margaret." He smiled and followed her to a corner.
Maya could only imagine what's so important that her mother can't say in front of everyone.
"So what did you do?" Victoria asked in haste.
"I don't understand." Derek raised a brow.
"I'm talking about Davin, what did you do to him?"
"Oh, about Davin, his case has been settled." Derek replied with confidence.
"For real? You mean you've finally gotten rid of that wretched man?" Victoria was excited.
"Yes, he's not our problem anymore."
"Wow thank goodness, I know I could rely on You?" Victoria had always wanted a son-in-law that was as rich and powerful as Derek, so she would be able to get rid of anyone in the city who messes with her. Davin had been a pain in her ass for so long, but she was too scared to react so as not to spoil her reputation. But she had to make a deal with Derek to kill him and she'll give her daughter to him as a wife. The whole idea of taking him to the police station was her idea so when he would be set free Derek could have him to himself without any suspicious feeling attracted to them.
"I'll be going to Maya now to miss Margaret." Derek then left and went to Maya.
The two love birds shared a warm hug.
"What was my mother discussing with you? Was it so confidential that she had to drag you to the corner?" Maya couldn't help but ask.
"Or, it's just some business deal horny."
"A business deal?" Maya asked.
"Yeah, nothing serious, just forget about that for now let's go to the dinning, breakfast is served already"
"Right"
All the family sat on the dining table and were having a large breakfast. Everyone was happy and glad that Davin had finally left their family. He was like the stain to them, not any of them could brag about him. Although the table seems bored without him, he was actually the central topic each morning as everyone would start making fun of him.
"It's been a week since Davin left the mansion and I could finally breathe some fresh air, his body odor was really poisonous."
"You're right mum, this is a call for a celebration." Isabella chipped in, the entire family laughed as they enjoyed their meal.
Victoria cleared her throat as she was about to make an announcement. "You'll know that Davin and Maya had been divorce. And it would be only right for me to announce to you all that I will officially announce the date of Derek and Maya's marriage."
"What?" The entire family were in whispers, so sudden although Isabella was extremely happy, having an in-law like Derek was a dream come through. She was fed up with having a wretched brother-in-law like Davin who couldn't afford anything for her, finally she'll have someone she could actually brag about. Having a brother in-law like Derek was a dream come through, she would be a star.
"That's great news, mother." She said excitedly.
But Derek wasn't that pleased with it, although it was also his desire to have a beautiful woman like Maya to be his wife, she'll raise his stats in the city, and especially when she's also from a prestigious family. But the fact that it wasn't his will to get married to her so soon, he needs to take things slowly and think well, he also needed to discuss with his mother.
"So what do you two think about this, Maya and Derek, I'm going to arrange the marriage next week." Victoria asked.
"Hum, I don't have any problem with that as long as Derek agrees with it." Maya replied.
"I appreciate your idea, Miss Magret, but I'll need time to think about it. I still have a lot of things to do before thinking of marriage." Derek said, making everyone think that he didn't really like Maya.
"If you would excuse me, I'll take my leave now." He said before exiting.
Maya felt embarrassed a little, she was used to being the head in a relationship with her experience with Davin. Davin would never oppose her or her mother's will, but guess Derek is on a different level, making her have more interest towards him.
"You shouldn't have said that now, mother." Maya faced her mother.
"What? I was only doing what I'm expected to do, Derek is all we need now to be top in our business and it's only right for me to get you two married as soon as possible." Victoria defended.
"I understand your point, but this isn't only about our family's business, this is also our life, my life. You should at least seek our opinions before going ahead to announce it, my opinion matters mother." Maya felt disappointed, she always knew her mother was the greedy type, that only cares about what she would gain in every single situation. Victoria would never agree to anything that would not benefit her one way or the other.
"Maya, what mother did was the best, I also expect you to also put more pressure on her decision and make Derek my brother-in-law as soon as possible." Isabella said.
"Oh will you shut up Isabella? I know you'll support your mother because you also want to benefit from Derek, don't you think it's time for you to find a job by now? Or go get yourself a husband."
Isabella frowned, but Maya wasn't wrong, she was nothing but a spoiled child who depends on her mother for everything, not that she didn't have a boyfriend but he's not someone who could brag about, just some regular dude who has tattoos all over his body.
"I'll be in my room." Maya said leaving the table.
THE LORD'S MANSIONDavin had recovered fully, he was in his study with James, discussing all that had happened when he was absent."While you were away Lord Darius, we hadn't been having any war threats, and so we focused more on the family's business." James said."And how's the progress?" Davin asked. He was now dressed in an expensive suit, and his hair neatly combed. He was now appearing like the billionaire he always was."The business is doing well, Lord Darius, we have expanded our reach all over the world, holding 20% of the entire world's revenue." James explained giving the computer to Davin to see for himself.Davin was amazed, the profit coming into the Lord's business empire was almost immeasurable, having 20% of the entire world's revenue, they were no doubt the richest family currently, not only do they have hundreds of companies they also have shares in others which weren't theirs."There have been a lot of improvements." Davin was impressed, there weren't so many comp
"You don't need to get upset Mr Luther? How about ten trillion dollars? Will you refuse to sell it even if I offer you such an amount?""What the hell? Stop joking around man, do you know who I am? You can't be joking around with me.""I'm not joking around Mr. Luther, I'll ask again, will you sell it at that amount? Or how about I make it twelve trillion? Is that good enough?"Luther was dumbfounded, Davin was calling the amount like it was just some little change. No single person is worth twelve trillion. "I'm waiting for your response Mr. Luther I came with my card." Davin said, bringing out his black card."I hope this isn't some kind of prank?" Mr. Luther asked to be sure."I'm dead serious."Mr. Luther stroked his jaw, selling his company at that amount isn't such a bad idea, in fact it was a double profit, and he could even build a bigger one with that amount, why would this man even want to buy it when he could build his own. So many thoughts ran through his mind."But why'd
Davin sat in the Beta office as he sipped on wine, watching the day get darker, a smirk formed on his face as he knew the Madison Enterprise would run out of time very soon. The thought brought him peace and satisfaction. He was going to make them pay for every single thing they did to him.On the other hand, Derek sat in his office, the weight of loss and debt pressed him down. His mind raced, searching for a way out of the mess he found himself in. The thoughts of Mr. Luther, the CEO of the Beta company, would do this to him, swirling like a storm in his mind, confusion evident on his face as he couldn't wrap his hand on what could actually be happening.Derek sat there for hours as time passed, his mind far away from reality until a knock came from the door,“Come in,” Derek answered.A lady came in, a grin vibrant on her face as she walked into the office majestically as she held an envelope,“Good afternoon sir, I'm here to ask for your permission to go on a one week break. ” Sh
Maya was worried as she tried Derek's line again and it went straight to voicemail.Different thoughts started going through her head.‘Is he still mad at mom for what she did the other day at dinner or maybe he's at a business meeting and he has just been busy lately' she thought as she tried to console herself. She tried his line again but it still went straight to voicemail, she finally gave up and decided to go look for her mum.As she got out of her room she heard noises coming from Isabella's room, it sounded as if Isabella was fighting with someone. She walked closer to check what was happening, before she could open the door she heard a loud sound. It sounded as if someone got hit, she quickly opened the door and saw Isabella on the floor. She looked away from Isabella to the man Isabella was arguing with, as she processed everything, realization hit her.“You slapped my sister?” Maya walked furiously to the stranger standing above Isabella, as she threw slaps to his face.Th
Derek's face reddened with rage, his voice rising in disbelief. "All of them! The entire company is refusing to work with me!" Peter's eyes widened in shock, "Sir, I think there must be some mistake," he ventured, trying to placate him. But Derek just stared, his anger boiling over. "I'm dead, I'm dead," he muttered to himself, his frustration and desperation palpable. Peter stood frozen, unsure how to respond, fearing anything he said would only fuel Derek's ire. Despite the cool weather, Derek began to sweat.Derek's face contorted in a mixture of anger and desperation as he dialed the J.K company, his hopes hanging by a thread. The call connected, and he launched into a passionate plea, "You can reconsider our proposal, it will greatly benefit your company!" But the response was curt and unyielding, "Sorry, we don't need this offer, thank you." Derek's voice took on a hint of desperation, "Okay, take 70%, let me take 30%." The silence on the other end was deafening, followed
Derek dialed the number again, but the call went unanswered. His mind raced with questions. Who was this mysterious person, and what did they want from him? He couldn't think of anyone he'd wronged, anyone who'd hold a grudge against him. "What's going on, Sir?" Peter asked, confusion etched on his face. Derek's gaze narrowed, his eyes locking onto Peter. "I need all the information you have on the Beta Group. Something's off." Peter hesitated, "Sir, what's the problem?" Derek's expression darkened, his voice stern. "Just do as I say, Peter. Now." Peter flinched, muttering a quick apology before scurrying to gather the information.Derek let out a frustrated hiss, loosening his tie as he sat down. He was certain it wasn't Mr. Luther's voice he heard. With a groan, he tried to focus on his work, but his attention was diverted by a notification on his phone. He unlocked it to see a chilling message: "Dearest Derek, we have taken 50% of yours. Sincerely, Beta Group." His eyes wide
The receptionists watched him go, their mouths agape, their earlier smirks and snickers replaced with shock and embarrassment. The sound of Davin's whistling faded into the distance, leaving behind a silence that was both awkward and telling."We need to apologize," one of the receptionists whispered urgently, "what if he's a friend of the boss? We could lose our jobs!" Her colleague nodded in agreement, and they quickly chose someone to accompany her to Davin's room. They stood at the door, knocking nervously, and Davin answered, his chest glistening with water droplets. One of the receptionists couldn't help but lick her lips, her eyes fixed on his chiseled physique. "He's so hot," she whispered, her voice barely audible. Her colleague nudged her, reminding her of their mission. "We're here to apologize, compose yourself," she whispered, her voice firm. Davin's deep chuckle sent a shiver down their spines. "Why are you here?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with amusement."We... w
Maya sauntered into the room, blissfully unaware of the tension, a bright smile on her face. "Dear, things are getting expensive," she said, dropping her shopping bag on the desk. "You won't believe how much this bag cost." She rummaged through the bag, pulling out another shoe, completely absorbed in her own world. Derek's expression darkened, his eyes fixed on the debit alert on his phone. "Maya, are you responsible for this?" he asked, his voice low and accusatory, holding up the phone for her to see. The smile on her face widened, and she looked up at him. "Yes, darling, I was thinking of telling you when I got back, knowing you wouldn't have a problem with it," Maya said, her tone casual. "Or do you have a problem with it?" She looked at him innocently, unaware of the storm brewing. Derek’s eyes widened in disbelief, his face inches from the phone. "Wait, you spent this much on this?" He gestured towards the shopping bags, his voice rising in outrage. "Come on, baby, stop a
