Chapter One Hundred and Forty-Nine.

At the living room of the Williams’ residence, May had entered not too long ago and her mom Clara came down, just seeing her.

"Oh my darling. You're back" Clara said, rushing to her daughter.

"Are you hurt? Did they give you a hard time?" Clara asked, looking all over May's body in search of visible injuries.

"I don't want to talk now, mom. Can I go in and wash up first?" May asked, tired. She had gone through so much the past 24 hours and needed the maximum amount of rest she could get.

"I'm sorry I couldn't get you out sooner, I tried all the connections but I'm glad you're finally out " Clara kissed May's cheek smiling at her daughter sweetly.

"Thank you mom. Can I go up now? Thanks."

May said ready to escape.

Outside, Declan pulled up at William's residence. He stopped by to check if May got home safely.

The doorbell blasted as soon May was about to climb the stairs.
